I guess “technically” since both Salazaar and Barbossa’s crews were already “dead”, and the Dutchmen’s were commited to 100 years of service, once their service was up, they’d be f’d and killed off once returning to “human” form. and the reason why it is the black pearl now, is due to Beckett burning it up and sinking it for breaking his contract to bring 100 slaves somewhere. Jack didn't like that they were deemed "cargo" and released them. Beckett declared Jack a pirate then and there. Wicked Wench was sunk, Jack tried to save it, but went to death's door in the process. Thats where Davy Jones comes in, and agreed to a deal with Jack. Bring the Wicked Wench back up aflaot, but it kept its charred aspect. Hence the new name "Black Pearl". The cost? After 13 years of being the captain of the black pearl, he must serve 100 years on the flying dutchman. Fun sense of irony from Davy jones to request the same amount of years as of souls Jack spared from slavery. That hints is also called when Jack asked for a price for his soul, and Davy jones asked for a 100 souls.

This rendition of the main theme is just perfection
“From that day he *EARNED* himself a name that would haunt me for the rest of my days .... Jack da Sparrow”
I love how he says earned rather than got, was given etc. Salazar acknowledges Jack was a mad genius who fucked him over.

Pirates of the Caribbean: bootleg turn
So he wants revenge because he was arrogant and got outsmarted. He has some personal issues he should look at before he goes to revenge.
Well historically pirates are wicked so Salazar wasn’t wrong
Salazar wanted to commit genocide on pirates was so close to doing it until he got wrecked and he couldn't accept it.
@@dead.ahead_sonya.parker1 Pirates deserve it.
@@tamiloxd7168 in the potc universe Pirates are more like robinhood than the rapists and murderers they are in real life
@@thatsabingo6695 no they're still very much rapist and murders
Most people underestimates him cause he is mostly drunk in the movie 🤣🤣 but he is the legendary pirate with amazing skills. Also the most loved pirate ❤️❤️❤️
I think the funny part about this is that historically Salazar isn’t the bad guy, he was sent by the Spanish navy to take out pirate ships that were preying in Spanish shipping
Jake Johnstone Exactly!
yeah but hes a bad guy in my eyes
He became a bad guy after he turned into a ghost and started killing not just pirates but the British too.
Killing the British didn't make you a bad guy during those days. The Brits were using privateers to disrupt trade so they were scumming in the first place.
"not just pirates but the British too"
British are all pirates.
2:54 the respectful momment of revenge
The only scene where Jack is actually Jack and not some fucking jar jar binks.
TRUE, that's what really bothered me about this movie
This movie was such garbage.
Paul Dunkirk-Greenbaum EXACTLY
And even this strictly speaking breaks the pre existing canon set up by the previous movies

That stare tho. It kills me all the time. 2:49
That moment when you realise that an 18-year old pirate completely outsmarted the most feared pirate hunter of the seas.
without Jhonny Deep, Jack sparrow will be nothing. means no Pirates of Caribbean without Jack. thats it.
I'm hearing rumours that Disney is gonna go ahead with making a 6th movie begging Depp to rejoin but if he declines, this means they'll get Zac Efron to play Jack or even a female, if they go ahead with this, us fans will make sure they don't earn any money from it

Really? A hideous young cgi captain jack walking in the worst potc movie ever is your favorite scene? Not any of the dozens of brilliant shots from the original movies?
2:50 the way jack sparrow is looking st Salazar is so damn cool
Tiziana Haarmann for real. That shit had me like "Dammmmn"
Jack's stare: Omae wa mou shindeiru
Salazar's stare: NANI?!
At the 2:50 mark you can say the Spanish ship could have unleashed a full broadside on the pirate ship.
Yeah. Thug life. 😎😎😎
They were panicking too much at that point at the realization of their impending doom to even think about rushing to man the guns and unleashing said "broadside" at the pirate ship.
Boy I love how Salazar says "Jacke SpaRRow". Creeps me out and everything but- boy that's so terrific :D
"you surrender to me now, i'll let u live", "i shall let u live, hahaha"

Yes is the best scene of the film
The only good Scene of this Movie...
D L IX• ikr that movie suvked
No, the first and last scenes were actually the best. But this scene is a close second.
I saw the last scene with Elizabeth and Will reuniting here in YT and it made me want to watch the movie but most of the movie was horrible
Such a shame it completely upends the Compass's origin.

3:56 That moment when Jack Sparrow becomes captain gives so much chills mannn knowing that he's wearing all those gears years later proves that although how goofy he acts, he remains a pirate captain ☠️💯🔥🔥🔥
This is.. For one, the only fucking scene in the whole movie where Jack was being THE Jack Sparrow. And it's even A CGI!
Prepare the bootline
Thank you finally someone who realizes that! In Curse of Black Pearl he was also goofy at times, but overall he was more clever and interesting.
I thought Anthony de la Torre played young Jack Sparrow
Funny I just a watched a video explaining how jack felt like an imposter in this movie. I just want real Jack from the trilogy back :(
what about the bank heist ?
Man you would think these movies would get old after awhile but ive enjoyed every single one since i was 15 years old and now im almost 30

Ship: hits some rocks
Also ship: explodes
actually the place where the ship exploded was cursed and it's called the devil's triangle in the movie.
The curse is why it explodes.
Other reason (if you are not convinced) is the ship is fire lit(lamps) and when it crashes it can come to contact with gunpowder. Stfu
I think that was their gunpowder combusting
think that was just some magic shite
Watch it again... you'll see a red liquid being sucked to the ship shortly after the explosion
Disney when they release the new pirate of Caribbean without Johnny Depp and think why does nobody watching its like bro you just took away the favourite main character what do you expect
took away the one and only Captain Jack Sparrow
Salazar: he took everything from me.
Sparrow: I don't even know who you are.

In fact, Salazar was a good men, he tried to destroy pirates who harass and stole to the merchant, and to the Spanish Empire.

Pirates were among most progressive people of that time.
They sort of Robin hood in there own right.

Anyone ever notice Salazar's holding of the sword to stab Barbossa is the position of a Spanish matador just before he is going to kill the bull in a bullfight. Very awesome Easter egg!

To signify he views pirates as little more than animals to be slaughtered.
