Century Child is my favorite Tarja album with Nightwish. I am wanting this on Vinyl. The CD copy and vinyl copy has the same picture but the vinyl displays part of a moon that hangs over the waterfall. The pic you showed for the album cover is the vinyl cover. My mom who isn't a fan of Metal thought the album cover was pretty. So yeah. Love this album though. But I am more of an Annette fan and loved their style when she was with them. So those 2 records are very personal for me. But yeah. Each Nightwish album is pure gold.

Btw. U touched on it for a second but I think it’s a super interesting story. The Friend he went went on a hiking trip with is the lead singer of SONOTA ARTICA. Another metal band from Finland. That hiking trip is credited with saving Both men’s passion for making music.
I really enjoy listening to your thoughts and opinions of the lyrics, you really are going deep diving with them. And I am learning a lot from your views, I myself is more of a listener to the music, melodies, instrumentation, vocals and the lyrics have been of a secondary interest. But you have made me curious and made me listen to these old albums once again. And btw your make up is spot on with the colors on the cover. I never never listened to the lyrics of songs really. Not worth spending any time on them and for 99.999% of pop it is just filler. But with Tuomas there is so much intellectual depth. He is a frickin genius.

So this album was my intro to Nightwish. I don't have a hard copy but will hopefully get it on vinyl if the price is right. It's a classic and really moves forward with symphonic metal. However it doesn't flow for me start to finish in the way Oceanborn does. I will revisit it. Just purchased Tarja the shadow self , on vinyl at a good price so looking forward to getting that.
