Call of Duty gets a lot of hate when it comes to its health system. For as "Modern" as its warfare may be, regenerating health just isn't something that's going to be available on the battlefield...or will it? With CoD: Advanced Warfare, you're fighting a war 40 years in the future. Could regenerating health be possible then? And how does it compare to the science of health packs?

What happened?
what was said?! that was so liked?!!!
"are you tired of going to the doctor every time you get shot in the face?" XD
man, thats the SECOND TIME this week.

In the halo universe there's actually a biomedical foam they use to plug up wounds and slowly heal then safely.
That a thing irl
They definitely have a variation of this in irl
@@chazdejesus2960 there is a foam that they are using on the battlefield now. They inject it into bullet wounds to stop the bleeding
You dead?
The worm that grew back its head with its memories, wouldn't that disprove the how to kill dead pool theory?
Ryan Innes
I think the type of regeneration that deadpool has doesn't have the manipulated cells to restore memories.
Ryan Innes worms don't have brains
Then what's that at 6:33?
Gilokko they don't preserve memories in their brain
Vincent it does
COD Logic: Shot in chest with sniper rifle? Take cover and wait for your regenerating health to come back!
L4D Logic: All bones in your body crushed by a flying car punted by a Tank? Ripped to shreds by a Witch's claws? No problem! Just wrap some gauze around your arm and your fine!
It's a video game dumbass,it's not supposed to be realistic
tf2 logic- have a medic and you too can survive explosions/fire/bleeding/gunshots/being stunned/ and covered in piss.
Doom logic-a medkit helps after getting a cyberdemon rocket to the face
battle heart The medibeam can regenerate human cells at a rapid rate... though the medic may be dying...
battle heart You forgot the allmighty sandvich: Oh so you just got a headshot? Eat a sandvich and you'll be as good as new!
Just imagine... 75% of your liver with some Fava Beans and a nice Chianti...

Meanwhile Pubg
Hits more than 20 bullets
Let's drink a red bull
Clearly Pubg and fortnite is going the dank meme route.
Just a minute ago, my entire body was incinerated. I've already regenerated
That's likely
Same here
I can already see all the school teachers who would abuse their new minute long regeneration powers.
*Mechanic Teacher*
"When I say be careful with these power tools, it's more like a suggestion really."
*Art Teacher*
"Alright children, who's ready to do some finger painting?"
*Science Teacher*
"And if I make an incision here (cuts off her own arm), you can see that humans are fucking awesome."
Finger painting... (Pukes)
I didn't know an incision means chopping off a limb...
Oh god... the traumatized children everywhere o_o
Chilly keys you just can't get the irony, right?
***** It doesn't, but if you're going to spend most of your day teaching kids with super powers, then you can bet your ass you'll be high on pain killers all the time.
If realism made a good game then Batman would have therapy levels and Mario would just be some guy lying in a corner tripping on mushrooms....
mushrooms lol mario
Steven Tyler I'm glad you spotted my little joke...
thesheepthatwentmooo Keep making great videos dude!
and the sheep went moo
LMFAO
Welcome, to my game theory! What you said about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is wrong. What you see in the game isn't regeneration, it's something else. The blood on the screen represents what happens in the battlefield. When a soldier gets hit by a bullet or is injured, but the damage is minimal, and not fatal. What happens is, the body bleeds or bruises, obviously, but then adrenaline kicks in and the pain is not felt, so the soldier keeps going like nothing happened. This is represented in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare by the screen turning red when hit or bruised, and as the adrenaline kicks in the red blood onscreen disappears, and you keep fighting until your mortally wounded. I know this because I was a Combat Lifesaver, and know of soldiers who got shot but didn't feel pain. They'd continue fighting, and didn't realize they were shot until someone told them.
InvincibleFury I think you're right. I'm just a kid, but I think you're right.
Kaio Saiyan Thank you for agreeing. My theory made sense because of my experience and the way it works in the game.
People can't take 50 bullets and be okay regardless of adrenaline levels lmao. Obviously.
There's even a video on UA-cam where two guys are robbing a convenience store with a fake gun and a security guard rushes in and shoots both of them. One of them stays on his feet for a bit, and even asks the guard if he was shot before getting on the ground
This isn't true lmao
How do they know the worm had the same memories after?
Don't worry Matt, liver and onions IS just as bad as Doug made it out to be.
Blasphemy!
What, liver and onions are really good. I guess it depends on what type of food person you are.
Consider the possibility that you're a rubbish cook. Liver can be nice like anything else.
BiggysMusic, It's mainly just the taste of liver itself that gets me. It just leaves a twang in my mouth that I am not a fan of.
Funny I remember that Dexter from Dexter's Lab said it's his FAVORITE food
_"Back in my day, we didn't have regenerating health."_
"And it was better for ya"
+iGotPixelated nonono its "and we was better fo' it"
+UnpluggedGamez still the same :)
wolverine broke that rule
Yeah, but Wolverine is too awesome to stick with the same logic of Call of Duty...
Don't try that at home? A theorist?! "Sorry Son but I need to check something"
ikr
1:05 I love how out of ALL THE characters he could've chosen, he chose one that doesn't regenerate health

Game Theory: How accurate are the weapons in Fire Emblem?
Game Theory: What if the legal system in Phoenix Wright was real?
Game Theory: Are the mutations in Fallout possible?
i would really love to see the 3rd one happening!
I have another scary game theory. A pokemon theory. How alpha and omega relate to the female and male so relating to that explain how the new primal forms of Kyogre and Groudon relate to the male and female personalities I can make out one.
I'VE been wondering about the second one for a while now
Patrick Stuski That't great and all, but why are you telling me?
I've always wanted a phoenix wright episode!
6:11
I guess there is no way to beat Deadpool after all...
Fangame Empire humans and worms nervous systems are diffrent
wait but you told us the worm had its old memories but why cant deadpool do that
What are you even talking about XD
Dennis Fueru go to the deadpool vid he says that once deadpool got shot in the head he would not rember anything but here he says the worm with no head was able to rember
jack and daz are best Deadpool still can remember his memory, but Wolverine can't
jack and daz are best Maybe they both have different power
Dennis Fueru ok it was just off to mr

Just a question, could you make a phoenix wright video. It doesn't have to be anything in particular but it be nice to see a phoenix wright video.
Hi little Pichu-Link
That would be cool.
(Pichu is my husbu)
malaika schmit My characters name is actually called Linkachu, plus Wii [U], What does you comment mean exactly.
pokemonprotecter It means your Picture is cute and I like it.
1. That's a pichu
2. Husbu is the unfunny male version of waifu.
It literally been years since i first watched this episode (I started watching Game Theory when episode 1 or 2 first went on, screw attack) but im still amazed i got the Intro Challege right back then. Also amazed someone not thrown up some obscure texted base MUD as a counter.
Now defend Infinite warefare
Sorry that's impossible to defend
+Isaac Kapsner people still defend feminists, so it ain't impossible
+MilkMakesCookiesWet Defending people who think men and women should have equal rights? I know there are a lot extremists but those are not feminists.
ThatRandomCommentGuy If that was true then why do they still define themselves as "feminists." You can clearly see that definitions changes. They only mention "equality" so no one will try to go against them because doing so will seem that you dont want equality.
+MilkMakesCookiesWet They are calling themselves feminists the same way ISIS is calling themselves Islamic, they're obviously not, the go against the whole no violence and give to the poor kind of thing, feminazis have gotten the whole concept all wrong, it's about equality not the woma. screaming at the man 'cause he told her she looked good.
Far Cry 3: *gets shot in the face, *cracks thumb, *all healed

rocktank10 ' OH WOW thats so fab! wait you made that up
Linkplaysgames well it makes more sense,so why not go with it
People say they hate CoD for it's lack of realism. You know what I say to that? "Who gives a fuck, it's a video game." When did gamers come from how cool something is for not being as boring or difficult as if it were in real life to people complaining about not getting realism in video games. A good idea for those people is to join the military, they asked for something realistic, you can't be more realistic than that.
FINALLY!
SOMEONe GETS IT
well said, but at the same time there needs to be some sort of balance between the two concepts.
Eh... it's not so much the lack of realism in general, as much as the lack of deliverance. When a game tries to sell itself as being super realistic, only to turn around with horribly "video gamey" stuff (for lack of a better term) it gets annoying. If I'm going into a game for the realism and immersion, I'll get bothered by the little stupidly gamey stuff. However, going into, say, Fable, or even Fallout, I'd let it slide cuz it's not building itself on realism. If CoD had just embraced how somewhat silly it got, none of the complaints would exist. I'd play CoD for the fun gun toting action. If I wanted hyper realism, we have Arma and the like.
ultimateninjaboi
pretty sure lag doesnt exist in real life lol
(talking about arma)
I came back to this video when resident evil 7 and 8 are out now and all I can think about when you say regenerating fingers is Ethan growing back his entire hand and fingers
I remember watching this the night before I visited Williamsburg. 3 days before this video came out I had moved back to the U.S with my late father and had a fantastic time with him.
I still don't get it why people want video games to become more and more realistic. It's a game for fuck sake, not war simulator..
Like counter strike in fps. It's simple but extremely hard to master.
Or Dota on moba, or some japanese mmo with complexity that blow your mind.
I get it if you want the game to be immersive. But enchancing graphic rather than gameplay is a bit unsettling. I do play cod and battlefield and get bored in few months. But what about mario? Even after all this years is still can't save that fucking princess...
Exactly why i like nintendo more than the others
It's another method of obtaining immersion.
Those people should try out the first Ghost Recon, one shot in one limb and you started going weak and couldn't properly move, in the chest you would be dead in some minutes, and in the head it just killed you.
It was really annoying :c
Thats why i dont play FPS games too much....
Mizunokage1 yeah the graphical immersion only last for the first 10-15 minutes when you're surpised with detail and lightning, the rest are gameplay, music, and sfx.
My most in immersive game to date is Shadow Of Collosus make me scream once every 10 minutes. My heart crushed when the boss beat me, and i'm crying happy tears when i beat the boss, and i cried at the ending.
It was PS games. No ips panel, no 7.1 audio, not realistic controler.
Tbh, I'm not a gamer. Sometimes, I don't get the references. But, I really love this Chanel. Video game I've never heard of? Sure, let me know why it's main character is a druggy. Game I've never played? Sure, let me know how it's effects caused heart failure or something. Stuff I never thought of? Sure, make me think about it know. Whenever I'm bored, what's good sun- sat? An episode telling me sound is deadly. Or that rapture is real. I love how your case always wins even if I'm not in a learning mood, or I'm just chilling. I will always love your channel, matpat.
gtfo
Why?
Edie Gray
get off this chanell if you are like that, no one wants you here -_-
What? Why? I'm saying that I love this channel! Why should I leave..?
Kk max.
I literally don't have to go to school anymore for science and math I just need to watch this for 7 hours a day
Thanks Matt Pat this video just got me through Health class🤣😜
I prefer the healing mist-lazer-gun-thing from TF2
Medi gun.
Silver Marksman At first I thought you were talking about the Pomson, when I read "lazer-gun-thing." But yeah. It's shown in the Meet the Medic outtakes that the mixture that actually heals the person is made out of jarate, random pills, a sandwich, and lots of blood.
...Yup. Totally realistic.
+Ze Medic DOCTOR!HEEEEEELP NOW!
+Silver Marksman yup at least it isn't meant to be a realistic game (u can tell by the graphics) i LOVE TF2
yeah
in halo, regen health actually makes sense because its a high tech shield that fixes itself after a few seconds
But in games set in 1945, it's not
Raven Knight Vincent and all COD games
Ashley Johansson Health packs make no more sense.
Jonathan Barkley more realistic then getting shot a million times and the wounds disappearing in few seconds
Ashley Johansson lol Halo is set past the year 2500.... just letting you know. Read the books and see that regenerating health is STILL not there, all they have for wounds on instant is stuff like the X-Stat, or bio-foam as they call it
How did scientist find out that the worm had its old memories?!
Pretty simple to test actually, have the worm memorize a maze and then do it again after the worms head has been regenerated
Love that Doug episode reference I use that same one all the time ha ha ha
The amount of hate is surprisingly small
It's a Pokemon that doesn't speak it's name only!
Billy unless you are mewtwo
FUCK U I'LL H8 ALL I WANT M8!
IMA HIT U IN D WANGER!
COD BEST GEIM OF ALL TIEMS 360NOSCPOE FITE ME IN REEL LIFE IRL
He made really good points. So, it shouldn't be THAT surprising.
Hey Matt, okay check out this anime called Sword Art Online.
In the anime their is this device called a NerveGear. Can u check if we are close to actually making a successfully working NerveGear.
YES PLZ
Even though I would live that. It's animae, not video games.
Its would be impossible and completely stupid to make a device that stops all brain signals from going to your body, it could result in instant death, or you never being able to move again, so in short, no we wont make a ''nerve gear'' and probaly never will make it.
There is the nerve sphere, which boots you from the game if you have a heartbeat of 180 or more
Kyrax I didn't think it stopped all brain signals. They would just stop living
Cod 2 was the first one to have regenerating health in the call of duty franchise
10:25 again, mat...i could HUG YOU for mentionning Unreal! ;w;
A better way to save soldiers' lives would be to stop attacking other countries.
Anyhow, this whole "medkit vs regeneration" thing started not due to one making more sense than the other, but due to one ruining the gameplay (guess which one it is). Basically regenerating health removes long-term punishment for your mistakes, completely forgiving your Jenkins maneuver in a matter of seconds. This leads to interesting results when you make your neighbouring CoD fan play Quake Live with you. Hilarity ensues. Gaming is all about fighting yourself and getting more and more skilled at any given game. Regenerating health hinders that goal, giving empty-headed entertainment instead.
try playing killzone 2 on elite, there's no way to beat that game on that difficulty level without regen health
I agree with you completely
Great point but its down to opinion. I love both regenerating and non-regenerating health. I play a lot of COD (Regen) and a lot of CSGO (Non Regen)
They say that peace is a unnatural state between humans and in contrast, war is the natural state.
Think about it, in the last 200 years, there hasn't been a single second of peace on this planet.
Jason Liu "They say". Don't you have your own mind? Are you obliged to believe anything they say? Peace is natural, but it's unprofitable, hence greedy people always break peace.
You're missing the point of why people prefer medkits over regenerating health. It's not about what's more "realistic;" it's about challenge. Regenerating health makes it easier to not die by just sitting behind a wall, slowing down the flow of the game. It encourages lazy gameplay. Meanwhile, games like Doom and Quake have designated spots where you can heal, making every firefight more dangerous and exciting, and it's a huge breath of fresh air when you finally hit a spot where you can heal up, leaving the player with a feeling of satisfaction for overcoming their obstacles. It's not about medkits being "realistic;" it's about them adding challenge and making games more fun.
Then again, that last comment about "using [the medkit argument] in your debates about why your games are so much better than COD" shows that you're just butthurt about getting called a casual in the first place, so whatever.
Except that this channel doesn't deal with that kind of stuff. It deals with science (or a more apropriate broader term that is not restricted to strictly science).
John Hurley I'm sure lashing out at people that think one method of gameplay is better than the other through obvious patronizing counts as "science."
The man just told you about how we might be able to regrow limbs and you're wrapped up in the art of healing in a game? Are you fucking serious?
chatchat102 He never states that that is his belief, it was meant to be taken as a joke.
Funny you use Doom as a "challenging" game seeing as health kits are so abundant that it's kind of pointless, and the health still encourage the same design by making players use cover to avoid damage by your logic.
Nice fun science video
It's kinda cool that they actually added the real X-Stat to Call of Duty in the form of the Stim tac equipment in the Modern Warfare reboot trilogy
So x-stat is somewhat like the self-sealing, space-filling coagulant and antibacterial, tissue-regenerative biofoam in Halo?
They are tiny sponges that fill the gaping holes in your body
No, I don't think it said anything about noticeably speeding up tissue regrowth.
I like how the word 'somewhat' was completely passed over.
Yes, it seems like it is a lot like the halo stuff
Again today I saw a little kid buying Call of Duty Modern Warfare (or whatever the newest one is called) who even had to call his father on the phone before the GameStop employee was allowed to sell it to him.
When I witness kids that age drolling all over CoD, I cry inside, and severely want to make a list of underrated games that you can get in GameStop RIGHT NOW, that they really oughta give a try.
I'm not saying they shouldn't play CoD at all... I'm just saying that the world of video games is so massive, diverse, and FILLED to the BREAKING point with all sorts of different adventures and experiences, that you'd be an utter fool sticking to only one franchise. THAT would be the ultimate definition of a missed opportunity.
in which country do you live ? because i live in germany and here it is illegal to sell games/movies to children who aren't at the allowed age (well, it's even illegal to let them play/watch these but nobody cares). the father has to buy it himself, otherwise it is almost impossible to get one
DerGyrosPitaFan I have that too (live in the UK). No one really cares to be honest. I think most of europe has it.
D4
DerGyrosPitaFan I live in Denmark. I am not really aware of the specifics of the rule, as every employee seems to have their own version of it, and this guy was new so perhaps it was still illegal even if the boy called his father on the phone to get vocal permission.
But what I DO know, is that if you bring your parents, they don't care how young you are if you want a game that is 18+.
DerGyrosPitaFan In the US it's not illegal but almost every store has a policy preventing M rated games from being sold to anyone under 17. Anyway I don't think kids should be playing COD.
And also every game I remember that use first aid kits to heal you usually take place in the future where everyone use the alien invaders from another dimension alien technology or they pretty much managed to reverse engineer the alien technology to use it against the alien.
Hey MatPat!Would the part about the worms having their heads cut off and still retaining their memories when they grow back void your how to kill deadpool/wolverine theory? Just wanted to hear your opinion on the two. Thanks!
Haha! Bullets doesn't effect me!...*Knife in the back* instant death...Call of duty logic
The new CoD doesn't make you use a knife, does it? I thought you used a super punch or something
Throwing knife to the foot instant death, realistic m8.
And Team Fortress 2 logic, even when over healed a knife to the back is instant death.
But that's real life...I mean I assume they were some form of billet proof clothing which after several shots could work unless they keep hitting the same spot however they arnt stab proof so a knife in the back would kill especially if you hit the spine you are dead or near enough.
*wear
I watched a documentary about operation overlord, and a veteran there told about how he had his mouth completely cut to pieces by shrapnels, but he had so much morphine in his system that he didn't even know until he spat out half a row of teeth :/ assuming there is morphine in the healthpacks, they're not entirely unrealistic. Yes, they don't heal you permanently, but in the context, they don't need to, they just need to keep you alive until the job's done.
Cry of Fear also takes that concept over the top.
yeah but the morphine did not address the problem, it just helped the soldier ignore it
Kind of like bandages except way more advanced
morfine wont help a dislocated bone, nor if your muscle fibers are destroyed...also, regenerating fast can be a huge problem here, i mean, if you broke your bone and it twists on the wrong direction, it'll heal on the wrong direction, see the problem here? also, your body will heal fast, but it wont trow out any bullets you got inside it, a bullet if it gets stuck on the muscle ligaments(sorry dunno if its the right word in english) will make it very dificult to let the muscle work properly.
7:40 I was actually doing a project over the Axolotl when I heard this lol
I’m a US Navy corpsman and the Xstat 12 is awesome but it does have some limitations. Unfortunately it can’t be used on chest, neck or abdomen wounds. That being said it is incredible at treating wounds to limbs, especially penetrating and puncture wounds
Congrats on 3 million!
Thanks
F1nlandGaming -__-
Lol not u
F1nlandGaming yeah cause 26 is 3,000,000
lel didint ya see the joke :D
you really don't get it mathew. health kits creates more intense gameplay as you have to manage your wounds mid firefight. and putting yourself at risk or exploring the level to find them enriches the experience in a way the worlds most bulletproof shopping trolley ever could. with regenerating health it's basically like a man with contacts whoose face twitches when he get's stressed and then he gets on the ground for a while to pick them up. repeat process until you loose the will to live or the required 4 hours of expensive torture are finished
The show is made to overanalyze games, because it's fun. He knows that having health packs and regenerating health is better than dying almost instantly like an actual human would. He just questioned if that was possible in real life and how close we are to that point.
The point of the video was supposed to address the realism, not the gameplay quality.
He's not talking about these things as gameplay mechanics. As a gameplay mechanic, you are 100% correct, and MatPat will not argue with you; he's comparing it to how such things would work IN REAL LIFE. Which is to say, they WOULDN'T work in real life, not really. We play video games BECAUSE they generally don't work the way real life does, and MatPat is fully aware of that - it's just that this show, Game Theory, is about applying game mechanics TO real life and seeing how well they might be able to compare at best.
Wandergirl108 true but sometimes he ends up missing the answer when it's ten meters tall dancing covered in neon signs. why do people think duke nukem is a jerk: because he's a narcassitic woman hater. why do hindus get offended by the depiction of kali in smite: because she's shaped like a dead or alive female character.
I don't know about the x-stat stuff, but I was trained to use the quick clot that was in my first aid kit. I think that stuff dates back to the Vietnam era.
I always just shrugged it off as the character being hit in the body armour or just got grazed and was happy with that
The real reason CoD is hated so much is because people have this new mindset of thinking hating the popular things is cool......
OR...
People hate it because it's a bad game that is hardly any different from any other games in the franchise and the developers seem to care very little about their customers. Not to mention that they shit a new one out every damn year.
Yet people like Nintendo that does the same thing only more so
Pug Life There you are going about that. keep that shit off my comment.
Trey Davis yep...... tho i don't mind at all when Nintendo does it..... cuz ya know XD
***** It felt like I was replaying Black Ops 2. They'd already done the hole "FUUUTUUUURE" thing before. The plot twist was obvious considering how Kevin Spacey's character was portrayed in commercials. There were few missions I actually enjoyed and the final mission was exactly like Modern Warfare 3; Come in wearing some giant suit, fuck shit up, suit takes damage so you leave suit, chase after bad guy, kill bad guy, blah blah blah.
6:11 well that disproves your deadpool theory.. right?
+omer shaik That's what I thought!
so tru
Worms have different nervous systems than humans
+Mr. Unknown mind=blown
If Deadpool is a worm then yep other then that no, far different creatures far different biological functions
Aaaaaand there goes your deadpool healing theory over on film theory
I'm a big fan of your work
The health regen is a revolutionary mechanic for fps games!
For one, it doesn't kill the pacing of the action like the old health pack system.
And two, you need to look at it in another way, it's not that the soldiers are getting shot & regenerating themselves,
Think of it more like: the soldiers are getting pummeled from the assault & have to take cover to calm down before they get hit by a lethal shot.
If anyone realizes this, you can instantly defeat an enemy using melee attack in MW, but why not 1 speeding bullet, right?
Play Insurgency, then come back to me.
No health packs, no regenerating health. You get hit, you're wounded. If you get hit center mass with one or two 7.62x39mm or 5.56×45mm NATO round to center mass without heavy body armor, you're dead. You know, like real life? In this way, it actually increases the action by also increasing the tension. Insurgency was the first EVER modern military shooter ( i refuse to call them FPS games anymore) to actually instill fear in me. You don't want to go running balls deep around that corner, cause you know that it's likely there's a fireteam of smarter players around the corner waiting to blast you. It always pissed me off how in battlefield/CoD games you could empty several rounds from a light machine gun into somebody's body and they can just run around a corner and REGEN HEALTH, or how your character wasn't even moderately effected by suppressing fire to the extent in real life. (the sound of supersonic projectiles cracking by your ears is extremely disorienting, another mechanic that is also in Insurgency.)
Thus, i've come to the conclusion that CoD takes place in an alternate universe, where the world became babies and passed universal laws that limited modern weaponry to "mostly-kinda-lethal" weaponry.
PhantomPh1re Like I said, I see it more as a calming from the tension of assault (regain HIT points) rather than an actual HEALTH regen.
So why do I think it's revolutionary for the shooter game?
Have you ever realized that playing in story mode, where you reach the next cutscene with very critical health & NO ONE seems to care at all (even the character's BFF)?
That's when I thought you can get hurt within the game, but it won't be part of the story.
But when the story involves getting wounded, you're wounded in the game as well.
***** I think if one likes the tension from getting low health, it should change the cutscene according to your current health. (Because it should also matter to the story)
If getting hurt isn't going to be part of the story, then the Health Regen is perfect for it.
But if you like them both, then Mass Effect has segmented health bar system.
Conclusion: I believe Health mechanics each have its place depending on the game.
Insurgency is a multiplayer ONLY game, with no cutscenes. The fun in it is using realistic military strategies against your enemies. (breaching before entering a hostile controlled building, corner checking, squad communication, ALLAH HU ACKBAR *Boom!*, etc.)
Also since when the actual fuck has the story ever been the focusing point of CoD games? every CoD game i've ever played, i beat the campaign in under an hour. AN HOUR. That's a fucking ridiculously short time for them to tie the health system in with the story, and a travesty on a money-per time basis. No, it's because if they didn't make it take 5-6 bullets to the chest to kill somebody in multiplayer all the kiddies would complain it's too hard and leave. Ditto with the regenerating health as well (albeit i do remember there being a hardcore mode, with a lack of HUD or said regenerating health.)
PhantomPh1re Well, as long as you enjoy the game & its mechanics, that's all that matters.
Maybe Call of Duty is one alternate world story, where humans can regenerate faster than here in this world!
But, then what about the enemies in singleplayer
★ Cuddlepuff ★ O_O an alternate world huh, that might explain how people can die so easily from a single knife stab
Dave Survivor We can die from a single knife stab irl too, if you stab in the right place like the back, the neck, the heart, aand more
★ Cuddlepuff ★ in COD, getting jabbed in the foot = instant death
slango20 It could cut the cerebral connection with the foot if you cut it there, then you'll have easier time to stab the bad guy on the heart or the neck. It's just that COD are too lazy to animate things like this.
you guys should do a video on how the Perk-a-colas and the Gobble Gums work from the CoD Treyarch Zombies series
I think I might have that healing-in-a-few-weeks thing already, because I've broken many bones, and they all were complately healed in about a week. I got a huge gash on my leg, had 2 get 12 stitches and it healed in and a half weeks
This is a video I have to comment on before I actually watch it, because it's a subject that's come up before in my circles and it's really a lot simpler than people make it. People usually approach health stats as literally representing health, and damage as wounds. At full HP you have no wounds, and at 0 you would presumably have suffered damage to literally 100% of your body tissue, even though you should have died long, long before that point.
The thing is that in all games of all genres, all stats, including health, are abstractions, and all your defensive stats, like health, armor, dodge chance, etcetera, represent the ability to avoid injury. Dying at 0 health is pretty much just a time saver; you would otherwise be incapacitated until you died of some other cause, assuming you weren't reduced to 0 by being blown apart or hit with a precision kill like a headshot. Regenerating health, therefore, is just catching your breath and letting your brain catch up, coping with the superficial wounds you've sustained thus far, and preparing yourself to go back into the fight. People just never seem to be able to understand the purpose of abstractions in gaming, even though gaming itself pretty much consists entirely of abstractions.
After watching the video, I feel that I should mention an additional component of those medkits: Adrenaline. Whether health is an abstract representation of your ability to not get hit where it counts or an actual display of how wounded you are, those injuries are naturally slowing you down. The only power that could really get you back into the fight at all would be a shot of adrenaline to give you the strength to even move your deteriorating muscles.
Finally, someone who explains this shit! Thanks for saving me the trouble to point that out :P
Steampunk Papercut Lets face it, a bullet to the head is still a bullet to the head, i don't care if it comes from a pistol or what, no matter how much adrenaline you have, you are down. Not dead, not immediately, but certainly not coming back up.
AlphaKnight708 Which supports my original point: Health and hits that you apparently take don't represent actual wounds suffered. Getting shot in the head with a pistol actually means the bullet grazed your skull or hit your shoulder due to some combination of barrel imperfections and evasive action. It's just that they can't program all the minute details of what's actually happening when you get hit - that would be a lot of extra data and the animations would change the flow of the game entirely.
Steampunk Papercut Thats a nice idea, but clearly the guys behind call of duty don't give a crap about that. It's a game mechanic. Not something to be taken realistically. Thats like trying to rationalize respawning, or why these little skirmishes are taking place over the same area multiple times.
funny how at 1:10 they use the tf2 heavy for the pic but fail to realize tf2 is one of the few fps games that still have med packs.
+David LuoZhang *Sandvich
Yeah, med packs aren't any more realistic than regenerating health. Putting a bandage on your shattered spine isn't exactly realistic
and medics
+David LuoZhang Sandviches and chocolate*
Well in Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising and Red River, you had to manually heal yourself. When you got shot you had to pull out your field dressing to heal your wounds if it's not a fatal or a wound that immobilizes you.
Well seem the best is IGI 5 where u have permanent damage for which u need health packs and bleeding damage which turns into permanent damage unless u take some time to bandage urself
Regenerating health isn't hated because it's unrealistic, it's hated because it's not good game design.
***** Frustating? Nah... it's fair. Back in the old days there was only medkits, whether it's HL or even CoD: United Offensive.
MrJobocan I agree, because if you replaced regen with medkits, it would make players vulnerable while they heal, like in the last of us or bloodborne
+skulll800 Could not have said it better. In the original Doom, one room could be extremely difficult if you entered it without Armor and Health in the single digit zone, or Piss-easy if you're maxed out on both. This allowed the developers to create much better Levels and challenges for the player, because they can determine EXACTLY how much health the player would have. I personally like what one Game did (i think it was a Borderlands game? I dunno.), where you do have regenerating health, but it regenerates too slow to help you in combat and have to rely on Medic Bags when in combat (Medic Bags? jeez i've played too much Payday recently), yet fast enough to prepare you for a room full of Enemies.
EDIT: SAINTS ROW 4! THAT was the game i meant!
+MrJobocan i hate it because it allows them to bend rules i.e in MW3 oh its ok to run past a firing squad under heavy fire but soap falls 20 feet and dies shortly after because the plot demanded it
+soschar2050 fallout does this as well, but even harder. in fallout you need medical assistance if you are hurt, the only time this isn't as necessary is if you get a perk called solar powered, wich let's you heal 1 point of hp every second so long as you are outside from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. this means in the heat of battle, if you're low on health you will most likely die if you don't heal, but if you escape danger and just happen to be outside at the right time, you can spend some idle time waiting for your burnt skin to reform from those protonic axe strikes.
You know that last episode when you explained Five Nights at Freddys? Well in the second game, there has been a rumor going on that it's actually a PREQUEL, the phone guy during the calls in the second game say stuff about the original restraunt and he should really be dead, because of the call on night 4 in the first game. And on the check it says that it was dated on 1987. Plus before the night starts it looks like you are in a Freddy suit on the stage, and changing every night. Can you explain this? Download the game, I don't know the link. But there is one thing, BEWARE THE MARRIONET!!! Also the Jumpscares are FUCKING TERRIFIYING! No lie!!!
it is a prequel, its been confirmed.
The check also says it is in December 13/10/1987 but phone guy says its a summer job. What now? OUTDATED CHECKS!
jakealex4121 NO, the creator said its a sequel.
We need FnaF part 2
Melchiate yeah. And for the last time:"IT'S A SEQUEL GODDAMMIT, NOT A PREQUEL, IT'S BEEN CONFIRMED BY SCOTT HIMSELF"
Other than being the Deadpool of animals the axolotl Is also the inspiration for mudkips and has some story behind it so that is pretty much why I love them.
0:12 hidelyde or however you spell it I saw a hidelyde video before this and the person explained that it was the first game with regenerating health
So regeneration happens at a slow rate.
Real question is does regening hp make for a fun game mechanic when combat becomes a game of peekaboo that punishes no one for getting shot?
I agree with this. The game would make players much more cautious if they weren't allowed to just shake off the gunshots by hiding. Make them run for a health pack like Unreal (though, in all honesty, if you didn't have the skill and map knowledge that your opponent had, you were gonna die anyway.)
drwill439 or straight up go counter strike. You got shot. It matters.
coldeed
Why not use a system that regulates how slow your hp regens the higher your killstreak gets? At 0 kills the regen is normal, but gets slower the higher your killstreak reaches. It would be a small way to even out the matches involving noobs and vets.
Hatifrey god bless you
This channel isn't called game CRITIC for a reason
Hey Theorist Crew, in light of the new Five Nights at Freddy's game and the facts it has, I don't think your nightmare theory would work anymore. I thought that it could be altered to fit a theory where Mike Schmidt could have been the bite victim now left in his own personal hell and the suit be a representation of what he used to lure the kids in. But after looking further into I don't think that works either.
From what I gathered the new game takes place during "the bite of 87" that's referenced in the first game as evidenced by the check you get stating that it is 11-12-1987. The pay on the check also fits minimum wage for that time period as well (3.35ph). But the piece that broke your theory is the name on the check being Jeremy Fitzgerald (has anyone else noticed that both names belong to two prominent baseball players?-haven't looked into them yet). This person is completely different but, the man who completed a week before you went to day shift prior to the start of the game. I thought he could be the Mike from the first one, but I don't think it makes sense now because of a discrepancy in the dates that perplexes me. One of the newspaper clippings from the first game states that the first incident with two children being lured had been solved by the cameras on the night of June 26th and the culprit had been caught the next morning with the children missing. That is roughly five months before the 1987 incident takes place. This could be from the "Fredbear's Family Diner" place referenced by Phone Guy on night six of the second game explaining the bad reputation he talks about in the first night. However, the clipping from the first game specifically states that the incident happened in a "pizzeria" which is what this restaurant just reopened as. This could just be something the author forgot about or maybe this whole thing was just made up to mess with his fans or a whole list of things. But I can't seem to let go of the day shift man's involvement with this. In night six Phone guy also references someone taking a spare "yellow"suit and "they" who are not acting right. This could be the Golden Freddy reference we've been looking for. The timing would have been right and would explain why he complained about the animatronics following him at night. The 2.0 versions have been outfitted with face recognition tech that's been connected to a criminal database. This would explain their protective behavior towards children leading them to attack anyone who threatens them i.e. they bit the person who was kidnapping the children (they were only doing their job). I think this is also alluded to and foreshadowed by Phone Guy who mentions on night four that the place is under investigation and the animatronics act strange around adult humans, but not children. Then there's also night three where Phone Guy mentions "horrible rumors". So I think the kidnapping was going on throughout the week until day five (this is ignoring the June date of course) when the place us put on lock down and Phone Guy (yet again) mentions that a day shift position just opened (and this could be that either he was arrested or he was bitten and killed). Then the link that leads to some of the story in the first game is that on night six Phone guy tells you to take day shift and to keep an eye on the animatronics to make sure they don't "hurt" anyone. He also mentions that he'll be taking night shift which explains why he was there to get caught in the first game.
Then there's the "OG" animatronics that I think are clearly from the diner. They're old and broken down making it easy to believe that they're first gen. And Phone Guy even mentions that they were outfitted with some of the new tech, but were scrapped because they were "too ugly looking". This plays into the first game. The 2.0 versions were most likely scrapped because of the bit incident leaving only the older versions, which by looking at them in the first game were most likely revamped and completely upgraded. I think the fact that the light flicking trick to put them into "reset mode" (i think) not working in the first game fits, because the gen 1's and 2's both were susceptible to that. This furthers my upgraded gen 1 theory. And the mucus and blood coming from them could be from the missing children who were probable stuffed inside because they were the only suits not in use at the time. I also think this can be used to demonstrate that the company was going through a hard financial time given all the lawsuits they would have had to deal with.
There's also something about that marionette in the prize room. Phone Guy expresses his dislike of it say that "it's always thinking and can go anywhere". The fact that he says it can think peaks my interest alone. Not one of the other animatronics are described in that way. There is something special about it and it does act much like the original Foxy in that it can run strait to the player, but it's held back by music. Thing that got me most was the mini-games that happen after certain characters catch you (mainly the older versions and I don't know all the requirement or sequences in which they happen). There is one that has you as a Freddy character (could be golden or regular) where you start in a room with a computer. You venture out to find what looks like the marionette over a puddle of blood and proceed to follow him to a room with a giant present and what looks like a lifeless body next to it. You can also start out in different rooms, one of which has what looks like the other deactivated animatronics in it. The're one where you have to feed six children cake as Freddy again, but there's a child that's standing outside the building who appears to be crying. You can't really go to him so you keep feeding the kids as a car approaches the child outside and your character slows down. When an adult figure steps out your character stops completely and the child stops crying as his eyes turn into black squares and his body starts distorting. As the adult figure drives away the child turns into a grey figure that either resembles a naked endoskeleton (like the one that can be found in the prize room where the marionette is at 3am on the sixth night and has been said to fit the outline of the Freddy character and may be linked to the Golden Freddy) or the marionette which jumps out at you before the game ends. There's also one that has you play as the old Foxy who has to race to a room with five children in it. Upon reaching the children fireworks go off and a congrats message. It has you do that three times, but on the third time there is a tall purple figure in the lower left corner of the room where you start. In the next room the five children are replaced with eyeless gray figures much like the altered child you see towards the end of the cake game, but this time the old Foxy jumps at you. This might have been telling a part of the story where the animatronics were trying to save the children and would reinforce my theory about the protective nature the animatronics may have exhibited with children. The one that catches my attention the most is the one where the marionette-like figure from the giant present mini-game appears in a room with four lifeless bodies appear in each corner. The game tells you to "give presents" and you go to each of them and leave a present in front of them. But then it tells you to "give life" and you go to each of them and leave a head of one of the four main animatronics on each corpse and then a broken down Golden Freddy head jumps out at you. Maybe the Marionette has something to do with the possessions of the animatronics in the first game. I noticed that none of the main animatronics really make any vocal noises in the game (from what I've seen on UA-cam playthoughs so far). But in the first game you hear the raspy sounds coming form Chica and Bonnie. Then there's the child's laugh that Freddy has. So I that that marionette has a lot to do with the story and how the first game came to be. I can understand the reference to the gifts given his location in the game being in the prize room. And perhaps its gift to the children who's lives were ended prematurely was further existence on this earth in what might have been the only way he new how to "reanimate" them. Or it could be that the corpses inside the the suits could not escape them, being stuck in there for may years. Plus this would also play into the protective nature over children I mentioned earlier. And on a "side" note I've noticed that no one of the forums I've seen so far mentioned that the audio in the mini-games appear to be spelling something different in each mini-game. Some letters are hard to make out thought because the audio's kind of distorted (almost like that Robosapien toy my younger brothers used to be crazy about when it was the new hot toy on the block). I pegged the life one as H-E-O-E-T(or P)-H-E-O-H-E-O-E-T(or P)-H-E-O-H-E-O-E before the Golden Freddy pops up. I'm still not sure what these letters could mean or spell though. I also think these mini-games are illustrating pieces of the story not told in the normal game mode in fragmented and obscure segments.
There are plenty of theories out there as you know, but this is what I've gathered so far. I though you might be interested in doing a followup episode in light of the new game release and I'd be very interested to see what you can do with this. Oh, I also left another episode idea comment for an interpretation on dream village in Animal Crossing: New Leaf called Aika Village on the Five Nights at Freddy's video about a week ago if you want to check it out. It's a village set up in a linear way to tell a story about a girl and her "red dolly" that incorporates some religious and Japanese cultural (Gaijin Boombah cough cough) icons along with some very stylized and well placed imagery. There are many different interpretations of the story and it's outcome and I though it would be something you guys might have fun researching. Either way I really enjoy your work and can't wait for the next video. I wish you all well. Cheers.
Really? Where did you see that and which evidence would better support this this? I'm not being facetious or anything like that. I genuinely want to know. And also keep in mind the discrepancy with the bite event not matching up with the first child disappearance reports from the first game stating that it happened June 26th in a pizzeria (although not stating the exact year). The culprit was caught that morning after, but the bite most likely didn't happen until November of 1987. This can also be assumed given the events that happen in the second game after the previous night watchman moving to day shift and his position "coincidentally" opening up on the 5th day.
And I just noticed something else in one of the mini-games. The one where you start at Freddy in a room with the rest of the deactivated animatronics (Chica, Bonnie, and Foxy) and follow the marionette there is something interesting in the room before you reach the final room with the giant present. A yellow bear-like, empty suit is sitting in a puddle of blood. Could that be foreshadowing for the suit used to lure and kill the children? I've also neglected to mention that the sequences between night when you appear inside a Freddy suit next to Bonnie and Chica (the originals in working condition) in what looks to be the restaurant from the first game. As each night progresses Bonnie and Chica go from standing like usual to facing you and on the third night Freddy will suddenly appear in front of you when you turn back to front. The noise as you move your head also sound mechanical like you may be an animatronic yourself or just stuck inside the suit. If it is a person, then who could it be? Could you be in the golden Freddy suit perhaps? Or could this just simply be a nightmare?
jacob groves Im actually quite curious too. When the theorist posted his theory I enjoyed it... until he said it was a nightmare that Mike Schmitt was undergoing. Im sorry I find a flaw with the animatronics being controlled by the ghost spirits that went "missing". For example the bite of 87' happened before the kids went "missing"...lets face it they're dead. How do i know this well because the phone man himself said it, "Upon discovering that damage or death has occurred, a missing person report will be filed within 90 days, or as soon property and premises have been thoroughly cleaned and bleached, and the carpets have been replaced". So if the animatronics walked before the bite obviously this theory shouldn't have been a theory since the game itself proves that the kids were not haunting the animatronics. Five nights at Freddy's 2 is a prequel to the first game. The fact that the animatronics could move in this entire game also proves proves that something else is going on with the suits. Its not a nightmare and its not a haunting. I liked his theory for how the developer came up with the game but not anything after that. its not the kids that were haunting them to begin with. So Jacob can you please show me some evidence that Scott took notes on the theorists video? Cause none of them were implicated in the second game at all...
Im not angry I'm just really curious as to where this idea came from. Not in a HAH WHERES UR EVIDENCE BRUH!? but more like "interesting can I see where you got that idea from?"
Everyone in this chain needs to go directly to the top of the comments. This is awesome theorizing, guys.
Thanks Logan. However, wftboy32, what do you make of the mini-game sequences? Mainly the one where the figure (most likely the marionette from the presents that may reference his location in the restaurant) has to give presents and "life" to four lifeless bodies by putting the heads of the animatronics on each of them before Golden Freddy's head jumps out at you. And the Foxy mini-game where you have to run into a room where five children reside and fireworks flare when you reach them. And the sentences that are being spelled in the audio during the mini-games. Here some "translations" that some people have come up with when I asked if anyone else noticed the letters being said:
"I noticed that too the first mini game spells
S-A-V-E T-H-E-M. The second sound more like S-A-V-E H-I-M to me. And the last one I got an H-E-O and I couldn't make out the rest." (by Juan Ramirez)
"I think it spells H-E-L-P T-H-E-M, but the L sounds like O" (ShirubaM60's reply to Juan Ramirez)
I say this because I think the night watchman that switched to day shift is the one who put on the "yellow suit" and lured the kids who most likely were killed and stuffed into the older suits leading me to believe that he may be the one who was bit (this is also ignoring the newspaper clipping that pins the incident as happening on June 26th-I attribute that to something Scott may have overlooked or forgot about when making this game, or something he did on purpose). This would make sense because of the tech used in the animatronics who acted fine towards kids but seemingly hostile or just cautious towards adults. This could mean that they were just protecting the children but were scraped because of how they protected them. Thus leaving the older models to be fixed and upgraded for the new restaurant. Plus I notice that the name of the previous night watchman's name was never specified, so he could have been Mike Schmidt for all we know leaving him in purgatory and haunted by the souls of the dead children and the suit being a symbol of what he sued to kill them (being empty because he is dead) for the events in the first game (only an interpretation and a major problem would be the missing fifth kid unless he/she was stuffed into the yellow suit (a little weak though).
Also, what night and which game did you get that quote from Phone Guy? I don't remember that specific line from any of the audio recordings.
at 8:55, did MatPat predict RE7's "I'll just douse my stump in rubbing alcohol and call it good" healing mechanic?
This is why I like mgs3 because you have to heal the direct injuries and use different medicine according to what type of injury it is.
Game Theory is like Bill Nye The Science Guy, but for gaming.

my Large tow was shredded off in a bike accident all the way down to where the nail ended and with the help of some liquid Band-Aids it completely grew back
Ok I know this was made 4 years ago, but I was just watching it and who knows maybe I am wrong, but galaga made 3 years prior gave you and extra life after you passed a level. Dosent that could of a form of regeneration?
It's not really about realism, it's about gameplay.
Regenerating health just isn't very exciting in an FPS.
and health packs are? i can understand that regenerating health can take the fun away from a good fire fight, but lets face it. the health pack was less realistic then the regenerating health.
Odin Allfather health packs make you be more careful of taking damage.
Odin Allfather "Ow, I just got shotgunned to the chest! Give me those magic pills!"
Odin Allfather It's just that health packs were more exciting.
With regen when you're hurt you hide behind a wall and suck your thumb.
With health packs it makes you take firefights seriously, because if you're heavily damaged in a firefight you have to navigate the level while under fire to find a health pack so you can continue fighting. If you didn't get good at exploring the level for health packs and ammo you got your balls rocked.
It makes firefights tense and fun, rather than a nuisance.
Odin Allfather he just said its not about realism, and no, health packs are more realistic and better from a gameplay point of view
So you're saying that characters in Call of Duty are mice?
basicly
We're talking about Call of Duty here logic doesn't matter.

seeing this immediately brought back the killing deadpool theory but thinking about it, if you kept cutting the worm's head off after it grew back I think it would lose those memories if you did it enough times. I could be wrong but it's just a thought...
When you were using the Halo Reach health kit that is based in hundrds of years when they made something called biofoam (halo 3 ODST)
Liver is actually delicious. I have no idea why people hate it so much. It just tastes like beef. Particularly tasty beef.
but its not beef... its liver.
:::OOOOOOO
Liver backwards is revil!!!!!! OMFG
eckabacken9 We eat cow flesh, chicken hearts, chicken feet, cow tongue... what's so special about liver that makes it gross?
(chicken feet is fucking disgusting tho)
Azure Kite Its not gross, its awesome. Just like Kazakhstan
eckabacken9 I don't fully understand you, but yeah. Liver ain't gross. I can understand if someone doesn't like the taste, but it seems people have a problem with the concept.
it's not the taste of liver that is gross. it's the texture.
Regenerating Health? I always thought in CoD (Because you where in First Person Mode) The enemies Bullet was Passing Near you and Your Character was getting more Stressed (The Reason why the Screen Gets Darker) and Ultimately Die from a Bullet to the Head if you weren't Careful enough!
And theres No Time for Regenerating Health on Veteran Difficulty. lol
Well no... cause blood...
That actually is the excuse the Uncharted devs give. They say it's Drake's luck and when it runs out he gets shot. Still doesn't explain that train fight in the snow in 2. :)

Lol Wtf! xD

Drake was Very Lucky in Uncharted 2! lol
Zane Seibert I never though of it like that. Thats neat.
mind explaining the medicine in farcry 3 that fully heals him from burns bullets and falls and he gets it from some random green plants he found on the side of the road
great vid i actually like Advanced warfare!
People are actually complaining about the lack of realism with regenerating health?
Are they just ignoring how the rest of the game is unrealistic as well?
Ikr u shoot straight at a far distance n still hits TF
Gun drop off doesn't really start THAT quickly. Most CoD maps could be shot across with most of the rifles IRL with reasonable accuracy, as as far as I can remember from years ago they're tiny. Oh, and bullets are fast. Hitscan at CoD ranges isn't too unrealistic. If you want bullets slow enough to dodge, play Planetside 2. The NC supposedly has Gauss technology yet the bullets move slower than the tanks.
Yeah but where's the challenge in regenrative health? there's no challenge in it AT ALL.
I mean why don't games do it just like GTA V's health system? when your health gets reduced to 20% just sit down and wait for it to partially heal itself to 50% and from there you'll have enough health to go look for a medpack.
Wolfenstein: The New Order did something similar; your health regenerates, but only up to 40. That gives you just enough health to go get a medkit, some food, or something of that nature, but if you try to play the whole game with 40 health, it won't turn out so well, unless you're some kind of FPS demigod.
General Snuggles Yeah that's why it got positive reviews.
***** Why can't they make a game for us hardcore stuff lovers? i mean when i play Call Of Duty i just get bored and can't go on much longer, but games like "Black" and "Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault" plays with my nerves and reminds not to run and gun, the same can be said for "Max Payne 2" they're all exciting, why? because it just keeps you awake for the game and that it didn't have to use QTEs to wake me up like COD does.
***** Yeah you're explaining has some sense that i can agree with.
Well for me Regenerating health, makes for a fair challenge. Health regen means that the game designer is allowed to make all enemies shoot bullet.
I know this old video but I just wanna say few things. 1. Medi Packs or health packs are more realistic then regeneration because of following reasons: Counting on the medical equipment inside can provide the right medical treatment to help stabilize the person. No it won't grow a new limb but it's surely better then regeneration BS. Also another thing helps stabilize and can indeed help the operator fight a bit more is drugs and not any drugs but morphine and possibly painkillers. Which can provide ease of pain helping ignore the damage (counts on the damage tooken). Another tool can help is certian drugs that I can't remember ATM. That can help pump your blood flow so you don't feel it exactly because your all hyped up just like morphine but isnt. These can be found in different medical packs.
you do know that the halo health packs have bio foam in them and that is like super x-stat
In defense of the halo health packs, By 2552 it is a good possibility that there could be items in the health kit that could heal someone very rapidly.
Edit: I watched the rest of the video and saw the sponge thing. The spartans in halo can take a lot of pain, so they could keep fighting if any bullets or projectiles got past the armor until they could stop for a medic. Most of the damage in the first game would be plasma burns though.
I read that in Church's asshole voice
Oh and the healing device your referring to that "must" be in the health packs is Bio Foam
WolfsCreed397 Yes. I forgot. If I was a living human, those assholes wouldn't even use one when I fucking shot myse- I mean when caboose shot me.
I made this comment earlier:
"...the MJOLNIR Mk. 6 Powered Assault Armor, the one introduced in Halo 2, is equipped with self-applying biofoam that both acts as wound treatment and artificial flesh. So, not really regenerating health, in fact it's the same stuff as what's in those medkits, it just applies itself so rapidly and effectively that it seems like your character regenerates."
Brandon Wise To add to that it's very likely that the 'health bar' could more be seen as a 'biofoam supply bar' instead
The halo series takes place in the 2550's so.... the health pack is more believable.
and master chief is super human xD
and he has a suit of armor that weighs a couple tons XD
KManAlpha and if a normal human uses it it moves so fast it sheds their arm apart xD
David Brodock thanks to the power of physical augmentation and AI
His armor weighs half a ton actually.
4:04 yes he is right my fingers were cut off when I was playing with a knife
This just appeared in my recommended and I swear I've NEVER seen this before. I thought it was just uploaded 😂
