@@Phoenix-qu4wg after d1 came out a playtester leaked details of destiny 1 before it was revamped mid development. originally you'd encounter the crow early on and hed lead you to rasputin, in exo form as originally you'd see this exo and it would be revealed that under rasputins core (look up hidden room under rasputin for visual reference) was a machine that would allow rasputin to take a physical form, and the missions would lead you through the story and it would be revealed that not only the speaker was evil but so was the traveller

And we now know, with Shadowkeep, that the "Ghost Flower" was indeed manipulation. And that the reason the wound never healed, well, it's the Black Garden.

@@fallen5983 It's more of a relation than it out right saying anything. At the end of Shadow keep, #warning# spoils may be ahead,
the darkness tries to persuade you to its side through planting doubt in your mind (in da black garden). I simply see that as a similarity to the ghost flower persuading the other guardian whilst they were in the black garden. Just an assumption. If you want to know what happens in the end, though, I'd recommend playing or watching the final mission. Kinda bonkers.

Fun fact: The Warmind (basically a super AI made for war) Rasputin was one of the first beings to discover about the coming darkness so it made plans to cripple the Traveler in case it would leave and so would force it to protect humanity if it didn't want to get killed.

Alexander Profit he ran a bunch of simulations and he found out about the travelers departure, after all he gave all exos consciousness and he's basically a quantum computer. also, he gave Siva an order because he thought of the iron lords as enemies who were after SIVA (since they are the travelers chosen and have light. or he could've known Felwinter was a previous warlord and thought he was an enemy.). but as we know he lost control and went into a sleep mode until we woke him up again.

Destiny 2 and we've killed multiple gods, learned the exos are actually of Vex origin, wield the so called Darkness as ice powers, and have now stepped into another war with the Cabal. Did I mention the Darkness wiped out a portion of the solar system again? Time for more theories MatPat

Plus, according to Crota’s End it shows that the darkness seeks to destroy literally everything. And the fallen fighting Vex, Cabal, Taken, and Scorn shows that they just want to earn as much are as they can. The traveler was showed to have developed a sense of protectiveness to humans during D2’s campaign stopping Ghaul from destroying the Guardians.
The light is much like a side of a war. Not the overall enemy, so it may have its faults but it developed a protectiveness for all life on its side, including The Spider and his army

Then again it could be for more selfish motives. There was a lore entry in D1 from Rasputin’s POV. He detected the Traveler was going to leave the system as the Darkness arrived so he fired every weapon he could to disable it and force it to protect humanity, which it ended up doing because if it didn’t, it would’ve been wiped out too. I feel it partly wanted to protect us to further its motives. Ghaul had absorbed most of the Travelers Light, by destroying him it got it back which it the gave to us, it’s warriors. It is nice to see that the Traveler hasn’t moved since it awoke but could it be staying because it wants to, or because it has to? Only time will tell

Watching this video a week after beyond light came out and Guardians can literally wield darkness, went on a murder rampage after their friend was killed and have started talking to the darkness itself is so weird how Matpat was genuinely onto something 5 YEARS AGO... We need more theories from Matpat on destiny
I can agree he was on something, but it has it's flaws such as the Pujari qoute actually being about Deep stone crypt and how exos were made as war machines.

Sounds interesting. It would be cool if the story takes this route, maybe have your character be part of a rebellion and have them fighting against other guardians.

The thing about the Traveler making us a proxy army is the most likely. The Fallen have an event called the Whirlwind which was pretty much the Collapse for them, and they also had the Traveler, which they called the Great Machine. Oryx came to the Fallen's home planet and tried to kill them and the Traveler, and when they seemed to be about to lose, the Great Machine fled. That's what led the Fallen and Hive to attack us, as the Traveler came to humanity next, hoping to create an army strong enough to defeat the Darkness.
Boom.
Taken Darkness is different than Darkness that lead to the Collapse. Plus, with Siva added into the mix, the Great Machine could have been many things; after all, they worshiped Sepiks Prime, the big dumb servitor. What if they just had a bigger, little less dumb servitor.

10:23 was actually about exos, not the guardians. Clovis (creator of exos, the sentient playable robots) wasn't a huge fan of human rights.
I'm appalled that he got this close to breaking down the story of destiny. I wish he still did videos on this game.
The card about killing everyone you knew from one reset or another was specifically about Exos and how their memory is wiped periodically, not about guardians in general.
These are the games i'd like to see in Game Theory

+La Vodka There are some viruses and bacteria that exist IRL that you can play as in Palgue Inc. So it could happen, but it would be "hard" for the bacteria/virus to become something like that. Evolution takes a bit more than a few button presses to happen :)

The darkness is a byproduct of the veil that’s connected to the traveler and now the witness a being of darkness is using his power inside the traveler to rewrite reality. And we still don’t know why the traveler gave us a golden age

The thing is that the Traveler is a completely neutral "Machine"... It just wants to survive the Darkness, that is hunting it. The Traveler fled the Fallen, because the Hive were assaulting them. The Fallen had to leave their solar system and found out, that their Great Machine is now in Sol. The Cabal only want to capture the Traveler and destroy the human race, because for the sake of victory. (Also Gary/Ghaul wanted to use its "Light"). The Hive is a complete other Story: They were told by the Wyrm-Gods (Worm Gods), that they HAVE to snuff out all of the Light and the Traveler is the "biggest source". The Vex are a bit more complicated: They just want to understand the Light, for it is the only thing they can't simulate.....
(I love the Destiny Lore and everything involving this universe... and I hope this clears something up)

I would love for him to do a destiny lore at the current point of d2. Some of this has already been confirmed, like the fallen having the light at some point. Also there’s a lot of other lore points that would affect his theories.
Him doing a theory on Destiny now would give him so much of a headache with all the lore he would have to dig through. He would have to have someone who knows the lore like Byf to help him.
Actually, that would be a very entertaining video for them to do.

The Traveler is a liar, after the collapse it gave us Guardians to protect itself. I never trusted the Traveler because, it's just basically using Earth as a proxy army. Guardians are made to be killers to protect a being that has gone from planet to planet, making more of The Darkness. If the Traveler left Earth we'd probably be with The Darkness.
I agree more with future war cult. It's too far to go back now. We need the light. Without we will be wiped out before we know what hit us.
You really need to do something like this for COD zombies. So far there have only been theories pieced together from the little info they give us, but I would LOVE to see what you come up with!

Also, in addition to the traveler having a past of going to planets, destroying them and leaving, somewhere in the grimore it mentions the traveler attempting to leave and then we used a weapon from the golden age to wound it so it stayed with us.

If the Traveler is revived do you really think it's going to stay at our side? It left the Fallen without a second thought, how long are we useful until the Traveler is revived and realizes the Cabal could be an upgrade to its army. The Speaker is already hiding things from us. Not to mention The Traveler deliberately caused the collapse which killed innocent children, elderly, and disabled... for what? Just so it can revive the able-bodied to defend it and carry out its mindless duties of killing so that it becomes stronger than ever? No, something that could kill me just to revive me and make me its grunt for the sake of its defense isn't a good thing.

It is dealing with the Deep Stone Crypt. All exos were built as war machines, but the Traveler didn't build the exos, mankind did. A company called Clovis Bray actually built the exos. You can do your own research to find out why/how, but like I said, the quote is taken way out of context. Just saying. JO995 To the best of my knowledge, the human consciousness was transplanted into the body of an exo. When doing Cayde-6's treasure maps in Destiny 2, sometimes you'll get a journal fragment of Cayde telling his son Ace that the next time he sees him, he will be a robot, or something to that effect. So I'm pretty sure that the Exos are all pre-made at Clovis Bray and they are awaiting human consciousness. Also, on Mars, you can activate consoles that give much more information about the whole thing, I just don't remember them word for word and I really don't feel like logging in to find out.

The biggest clue is the resputin cards. Resputin was pretty much a backup for humanity if anything went wrong, and resputin found fault with the Traveller. He was linked to all if the weapons of the golden age able to bombard anything that he believes would hurt humanity. Seeing the darkness arriving far before humanity did resputin went looking for ways to save us. The only way he found was AIM EVERYTHING AT THE TRAVELLER stating "you move, you die". The Traveller was forced for it own life to create the ghosts to raise an army to protect humanity for its own good. Moral of the story, don't mess with the Russians.

I don't have that auto rifle, so that would be why I don't know that tidbit.... although being a runt is not a disfigurement, it's just a sign of weakness in warrior societies... so I'd guess the respirator looking thing he has to wear on his face is probably in relation to the disfigurement... or maybe even disfigured is just a descriptor of the albinism itself... but disfigurements are permanent and being a runt is not (I was technically the runt of my family and doctors said I was never supposed to even reach 5'... I am now 5'9" and am among the tallest in my family)

+Tytus Wellington the darksiders 4 horseman are not exact to the true 4 horseman. teh darksiders horsemen are war, death, fury, and strife. Traditionally the 4 horsemen are war, death, famine and pestilence however since they are biblical reference its very interpretable, due to the only one actually being named and described is death so when I say exact the better term is traditional, with the first three being the main ways to die at the time of their inception (war, famine(starvation), or pestilence(plague/disease)) and the final one being death incarnate(and hence the strongest of the four).
That makes a lot of sense, and if they did purposefully add that someone at Bungie actually has a good idea for once 😝

Just more food for thought but if you dig deep enough you learn that rasputin after seeing that the traveler was going to leave the planet decided in a last ditch attempt to Shoot him down.. Yes you read that right! Rasputin forced the traveler to stay by shooting him down thats why theres huge damage at the bottom of the traveler but nowhere else! Also rasputin was shut down during this event in an attempt by the traveler to wipe out all past knowledge on how the collapse was brought about BUT rasputin already realised this was going to happen and set up safety measures. He knew this because when they were researching the vex he saw every possible outcome of the future and in this future he saw the traveler betray earth and its people. So what Rasputin did was implant himself subconsciously into exos that he specifically built in order to live forever and got them to come back and re-animate him after the collapse but which exo you ask? easy its Cayde because in one of the cards it says only 4 eyes have ever been able to gain access to rasputins lair and cayde was human at one time before he was turned into an exo by rasputin and had his memory wiped during the collaps. Basically the 4 eyes belong to him, 2 when he was human and 2 now that he is an exo. Subconsciously cayde re-activated rasputin and basically now rasputin and the traveler are at war.
Basically Rasputin outsmarted the traveler and started a huge death game and he knows the outcome of it all. The traveler realising it got fucked over was forced to create ghosts in a last ditch attempt to gain an army before the other races it fucked over tracked its whereabouts down and tried to seek revenge.
Also just an interesting thing to go take a look at is when you go to the tower quickly go look at the traveler, you will notice that its actually healing! some spots that looked battle damaged are actually gone now and its getting more vibrant and less dirty looking.

I have to be honest...the real evil involved in this game is the rng loot. This is exacerbated by the lack of trading. There are no specific ways or "above and beyond" achievements that get you gear. They just make you hurl yourself at the same crap over and over. Then it gets even worse once "light levels" get involved. You should be able to add light to gear so you can keep the gear you like and still level up. NOTHING in the game can be said to have been earned other than Rep with the factions and the items that they sell. It's no more earned than if you win on a slot machine. This is why I hate rng. There are tons of vids where people who literally did more than the rest if the team (proof was in the stats on the mission complete screen) got some crap items while the guy who afked for 3/4 of the run gets a legendary. I've had that happen multiple times. This pissed me off every time and so I've stopped playing. I've moved on to more well thought out and better executed games. I used to love bungie and I know not all of this is their fault (a lot of the issues reek of Activition ) but this failed to even come close to the standards that I hold for them. This game is a disaster. I hope that their reputation recovers from this but it will always have this scar. They need to get away from Activition. A company like that is not one you want your name attached to. Not unless you want to be associated with dishonesty, greed, contempt, poor business practice, and mediocrity.

+FallenPeigon Still no trade, there is still "light", and the new DLCs aren't really doing much. I played through the Destiny campaign (because I really don't like the multiplayer, but only because of preferences that have nothing to do with having a bad game) and I was appalled at the complete lack of story. They have tried to pull it back together in the new DLCs , but it's not working out that well. Plus, in my opinion, any rng is bad when it comes to the best gear in a game, unless sufficiently balanced. A trade system could really help with the randomness, also.
