@Theetravisb. - Nope. That's not going to happen, Mr. Scammer!!!! Why don't you get a real life, and not rip people off of their hard earned money? Do you know what "hard earned money" is, P.O.S.? I didn't think so. I know you aren't the real Travis b.
I don't understand how you haven't blown up as much as you should have! this stuff is awesome! I think your stuff is as interesting as No Nonsense Know How or even Junkyard Digs!
That’s a great compliment thank you. Even though I create car content I don’t watch most creators but I myself watch Chris at no nonsense he’s great. Thanks for watching
Loving your latest sojourn into antique auto "restoration". Anything G.M. is fine with me. Keep up the great work. I look forward to many more of these type of videos.
Plans for the car are spot on. It will be rolling history. Appreciate your commentaries. And your dad being a man of few words a great counter balance. New to your channel and glad I found you guys.
I'm happy you saved this one Travis. I (briefly) thought about doing something with it... then told your dad instead lol. Nice start to a great project!
Awesome work I wish my grandfather was still alive when I was a kid he was a ford mechanic who loved to rebuild engines and cars from the ground up it's brings back alot of memories watching you guys take on another project keep it up
Love that you work on stuff with your dad. I miss working with mine. Also - if you haven’t thrown the garbage out from the Mopar you cleaned out , I’ll take the model kit you found in the back seat !!!
I'm not sure what it is with the driver rear fan. But my dad's old 60 Bel Air had the same crinkle in the fin. We simply used a come along a tree a chain two bolts. We weld it and I hook on a flat piece of iron and bolts that in a couple places to the fain. Then 10 or 15 minutes worth of hammer and dolly work. Put some old Dupont greenish-blue failure on it. Decades later the car has been setting for decades in the woods after going through about 250,000 MI. No primer or anyting on that DuPont hard filler. It looks just as well as it did for my dad stopped wet sanding.
Oh man I love the mechanics jumpsuit, even more cool is that it's an authentic piece from the period. I've been looking for something like that. Also, knowing of the future videos on this project already I got a kick out of "we're not going to paint it" lol, excited to see at which point yall had a change of heart
Gotta love the venerable Chevy 327! I grew up with it, the 283, and of course the 350. I am still amazed at the amount of power, torque, and durability these small block Chevy engines provided for the time period. Combined with their simplistic design, and interchangeable parts they remain true automotive icons. Thanks guys for saving this one of a kind classic El Camino, along with my favorite sbc engine. Keep up the great work!
The El Camino is a really neat project. I think people love to see the old truck's worked on and brought back to life. You and your dad are a great team and I like your ideas on how to fix them. I love the old rusty look it reminds me of how people's lives are and how tough these truck's were made to last!!!! Can't wait to see more work on the International Pickup
Please keep doing what you do. This channel is one unique piece of motoring content and i've dug up the internet, trust me. Stay authentic, and you're gonna blow up.
For the wheels? Old style Chevy chrome reverse 15"x8" rims with "Baby Moon" hub caps. For the tires, my choice would be Douglas P235/75R-15 All Terrain, you can get them at Wal-Mart. a 235/75R is wide enough to look reasonably beefy without actually being fat. And their height provides you with both a comfortable ride, good handling in adverse weather conditions, and better thsn fair fuel mileage. They're reasonably priced & have a nice, long wear life. I've been using them pretty much exclusively for over 32 years on my 1972 Q-code Ranchero GT, which is NOT a show vehicle by ANY stretch, but Snidely has been my daily driver for as long as we've been in each other's lives.
Glad I found this channel... yall do interesting work... only suggestion would be to make Playlist for your multiple episode builds... helps keep them in order for those of us that like to binge watch ))
Love the projects you guys select for rehab! This may be my new favorite when complete (as in, I want it), but it’s gonna be very tough to beat the ‘46 Intl. Kinda wanna marry that ol’ girl.
Excellent find fellas, 59 and 60 are my favorite years, it looks like it was a 6 Cylinder car from the factory, I believe you have to change out the chassis frame motor mounts to V8 Chassis frame mounts, I had to do this on my 60 Bel-Air, I'll be waiting for the next segment , keep up the good work.
Another cool find with the floor-delete option. This will be a terrific build and thanks for taking the youtube world along for the journey. I think your 1946 IHC K series pickup body spans about six years. That drivers side door is definitely out there------somewhere. Maybe other youtube channels such as Mortske's Garage and Cold War Motors in Canada can help you out. That would make for terrific content. Good Luck always!
I really like these trucks. When they were new, they were the bee’s knees! This one would’ve evaporated here in Hawai’i. I hated the way rust destroyed two of my Dad’s cars; he labored and saved to buy them only to see them fall apart. You two are ahead of the rust game, I’d say. Rust is kinda neat to see in good, ol’ Arizona, though. Arizona rust doesn’t look like a fatal cancer. It makes a car or truck look like an experienced and grizzled veteran gunslinger of the American Southwest. The only part that gives me pause is the front glass. One thing I could never handle on my own cars was a busted windshield. Other than that…this truck is cherry and looks like it’s ready for more fun! Hau’oli Makahiki Hou and best wishes to you both for a very exciting and productive 2023! EDIT: Oh! BTW, I’ve started watching your series on that 1969 Chrysler! Dad liked his Mopars a lot! I saw Meadowlark Lemmon when he was a prison preacher over at Perryville, AZ. What a guy, and it was nice to see one of his old Lincolns at that field of cars you visited. I also liked that 1970 Polara there, too. Take care!
El Camino is easily the coolest thing GM ever made. This car is begging for 70s style aluminum slot mags. Especially with that 327. Side pipes would be pretty cool as well.
Awesome Video Travis!, My sister had a 1960 Chevy Belair she bought from an older lady that bought it new back in the mid 70s, That Car was still like new!, It had a 6cl with a 3 on the tree!, She ended up selling it to a friend of my Brothers and he didn't have it but a few weeks and someone ran a red light and destroyed it😢😢
Your videos keep getting better and better. Audio much improved. Your hard work shows. Curious as to why you didn't follow up your compression test with a leak down test, especially with that 70# cylinder. In case you're unfamiliar with how this works, go to Elderly Iron channel and watch the video where he did this to a Pontiac 389 a few years ago.
While you have the engine out, I would change the upper control arm bushings. Sitting out there in the Arizona desert, I'm quite sure there're dry rotted. But regardless of what you do, it's gonna be a cool old ride.
Nice find! If this thing has been off the road for 40 years, those old brake shoes probably contain asbestos... I would replace them all, as new ones are not that expensive, and pay attention to not breathe in the dust from the brakes!!
Just found your channel, the El Camino will be a very cool ride. Just hate to see rust holes left in it, patina is cool just not thru and thru holes. Good content though. 👌
Sweet! I been looking for someone doing a El Camino. I'm about to bring on my 59 ElCo onto my channel soon. It's in very similar shape as your 60. BTW I just Subscribed! 👍
Good on you guys great team you work so well together nothing like having plenty of room in the engine bay to work America made some awesome cars especially all the Ford Shelby mustangs with the mighty Boss engine cheers from Downunder
I subbed after watching you and your dad drop the drivetrain in. You guys work like me and try to save money. I live in southern NM so I know how hot it can get down here.😡
Subscribe if you like American made cars.
I like this guy's channel. He has good content, and his dad is really cool.
Really enjoy watching you and your father bringing back these sweet old rides!!👍👍
Thank you more to come !
Mr. B. ! So cool ! Make it your new shop truck ! My wife got me a 1976 GMC Sprint , 400 cid , we love it. Your plan will nail it ! Best of luck.
Great find. Looking forward to seeing more of this old girl on her way back. patiina over turquoise looks great. Press on regardless.
I am going to love this series! I can't wait until the next videos!!!! Thanks for bringing us along!!!
@Theetravisb. - Nope. That's not going to happen, Mr. Scammer!!!! Why don't you get a real life, and not rip people off of their hard earned money? Do you know what "hard earned money" is, P.O.S.? I didn't think so. I know you aren't the real Travis b.
What a cool example of Americana, thank you Travis and Rick.
Love that year El-camino I was born in 60. own a 67 el now but would love to get 1 in that year good luck guys hope to see it finished
I don't understand how you haven't blown up as much as you should have! this stuff is awesome! I think your stuff is as interesting as No Nonsense Know How or even Junkyard Digs!

Loving your latest sojourn into antique auto "restoration". Anything G.M. is fine with me. Keep up the great work. I look forward to many more of these type of videos.
Dat be go-giss! 1960 was an epic model year...
Looking forward to this build series.
Plans for the car are spot on. It will be rolling history.
Appreciate your commentaries. And your dad being a man of few words a great counter balance.
New to your channel and glad I found you guys.
Yes that’s a good way to put it rolling history. Thanks for the feedback and for watchin
I'm happy you saved this one Travis. I (briefly) thought about doing something with it... then told your dad instead lol. Nice start to a great project!
It is the same age as I am 63 years old. I love the car, truck or what you call a El Camino lol..
Awesome work I wish my grandfather was still alive when I was a kid he was a ford mechanic who loved to rebuild engines and cars from the ground up it's brings back alot of memories watching you guys take on another project keep it up
Thanks for sharing. And God willing we will

I cant wait to see this old girl driving down the road!
Just discovered this. Love this Camino style, shame it's not a '59 but hey. I'll be watching this now.
I just found this channel, and I'll be honest, the fact that you didn't paint the firewall black convinced me to subscribe LOL
😂 respect
Can't wait to see the finished product
You put out the kind of content that us Old Car Guys love.
Thank you for that compliment !

They are pretty impressive engines really cutting edge then. And thanks for the feedback and for watching!
A higher power must have loved 350 ci chevy engines because their numbers would reach too the moon and back.

That 46 just has a way a About it doesn’t she
Great, I won't miss an episode.

El Camino is easily the coolest thing GM ever made. This car is begging for 70s style aluminum slot mags. Especially with that 327. Side pipes would be pretty cool as well.
I think baby moons for wheels. Nice and what you can find. 2 99 on ebay I was born in 1961, that things beautiful to me.

Love the new project I hope you guy found a door for the international truck
Amen! Get it roadworthy under it's natural patina and let the old girl once again have the wind in her face.
Nice find! If this thing has been off the road for 40 years, those old brake shoes probably contain asbestos... I would replace them all, as new ones are not that expensive, and pay attention to not breathe in the dust from the brakes!!
The rebirth in capable hands, top video!
Really like ya'lls channel.
He said the mouse brought tools lol good stuff
Great work!
Leave it =Love it
Just found your channel, the El Camino will be a very cool ride. Just hate to see rust holes left in it, patina is cool just not thru and thru holes. Good content though. 👌

Yeah the 50s were a great time for car makers. Thanks for watching
I agree that it’s not really worth doing the bodywork. It’s a beater and it’s rare.
Nice! I like it!
Hi guys nice save an i like your old gas pumps . Cheers guys 🇦🇺
Haha thanks. We like the gas and oil memorabilia as much as the cars.
Save the 2 door Plymouth Valient setting back of it next.

We’re always doing everything we can to save a buck
Factory spot lights? I do not think that was an option. Dealer added maybe, car must have been owned by a farmer.
Just found your channel great work, ps your dads kool
