Very good review. I have a question, I noticed when you tested both Edifier speakers the treble was always set to max. Is that because at zero, the treble was to weak?
No the treble is not weak, I just put it on high so to compensate for internet compression. I set mine on 2/3 only.
Connect to tv?
Another good video and I am left with a really dumb question. In your videos, you refer to the active speaker and the passive speaker. It seems the speaker with the power connection is the one you call the active speaker and the other one is the passive speaker. I guess I don't understand the meaning of these terms. Can you explain, please? Thanks.
A passive speaker contains only the drivers (speakers). The active speaker has the amplifier, the power supply, the circuitry, the knobs,... on top of the drivers, it also provides the audio signal to the passive speaker.
What is the difference between the sound field extension turned on and off?

I am using it, but speaker is not enough louder at maximum volume. Not good for using with TV
I would love to purchase these speakers, the only deal breaker is that i need the master speaker to be on the left, all my gear and tv connect box is on the left and moving everything is not an option. Id pay extra for a swith to reverse the sides like on some monitors. Sounds picky i know but its a necessity for me. Other than this they are great speakers at a fantastic price point. Fantasic in depth review, thank you 👍
Hello, you can get a longer connection cable
Just reverse the left and right channel on input. I got the speakers, they sound good. With T5 sub and tweaking of treble and bass, they sound even better.
Great review, especially with the combination of different sound settings. Would the bass be sufficient even without a sub?

Edifier R1280DB Speaker Volume resets after a power off-power on; the volume resets to a 10% or 15% volume everytime I turn the speakers off and on. Is that supposed to happen?

Is there any latency for shooter games ??? I bought a Panasonic speaker a while ago and it's almost unusable because of latency, i have a newer versions of Smart Qned LG TV!! Which of the cables am i going to need to connect it with my LG TV ?
If you connect it physically, then there's no latency

mine sound like they are out of phase. bass is excellent, but mid highs and focus are lacking.

No, it has its own amplifier

you could also attach a chrome cast audio to the audio jack of the speaker to stream music via wifi from your phone or pc. Wifi streaming is much higher quality than blutooth.
actually im not sure if it can be hooked up...maybe there is a way though
