The LC is the only vehicle I'll trust my life with.
Then youre a idiot. Theres plenty of other good vehicles out there.
Awesome stuff. Good mix of car and road trip adventure. Looking forward to seeing the rest!
Thanks Kaz!
I can’t wait for your next episode!!!!
Great work guys, can't wait for the next ep. Also I think I saw Trent with his phone out possibly instagramming 😀
Really great video.
Cheers Mega
When was this shot?
Aww my dream to visit all Australia. Love from Nepal🇳🇵
Personally id love to get the base spec gx but the 7 seats and all the extras really tie up the gxl to make it the perfect blank canvas 300 series, rather than drop 150k on the top of the line gr sport id happily have aftermarket lockers fitted and maybe see if there's any aftermarket detachable sway bars and make it somewhat of a gr on a budget
Really great video. I thought the new LC300 series have Front, center and rear locking diffs.
maybe on the top spec model s only?
Only the GR-S has front and rear diff locks, in addition to the center differential lock, the latter is standard fitment across the entire range.
GR Sport has all three Chanda
In the middle east VX and GR trims offer 3 diffs
Well done guys. I’m heading off in May 24. Appreciate all ur comments and tips. Cheers.
Enjoy your trip, I'm jealous! - Sam
nice!
Hi guys, just brilliant coverage of Farina, last there in 2015, was totally unaware of restoration occurring.
We're headed back up oonadatta track in 2023, any chance of sharing with us the magic 8 week period of baking, Please, oh Please share.
By the way, 2015 we were stranded at William Creek with road closures.
Took a flight with Trevor's crew over the lake, my advise "Wear Good Sunnies". I didn't think of nor was advised of the glare, let's just say it all went belly up, literally, yuck.
The glare was so intensive, wear some sunnies to enjoy the experience.
Again, thanks for the footage and share the dates please.
Hi Ian,
Not sure what the dates are for next year but here are the ones from this Saturday 28th May 2022 until the end of school holidays Sunday 24th July 2022.
You can try their website or their facebook page as well farinarestoration.com
@@Drivecomau thanks
Really surprised that a rear diff lock is not even available as an option from Toyota 😮
@Drivecomau : What color is the GXL in this video...Dusty Bronze ?
Yes, the car started out as Dusty Bronze... by the end of the trip though it was mostly the infamous outback red dust.
what kaz said
Did the 2nd row seats shake a lot? Many owners are experiencing wobbly 2nd row seats.
Yes it vibrates, esp the headrest of the middle seat. U cannot unsee it. And the bonnet/hood also vibrates. But it’s a lovely and comfortable vehicle. I can drive for hours without getting tired.
Wow what a super long drive?
Question (as someone from overseas / Philippines):
Do Australians really love driving long distances?
I mean personally:
I would consider driving from Sydney CBD to Newcastle (or Wollongong) to be a tiring activity.
yes
Guess I'll never own a Land cruiser when waiting period is 4 years
Thanks of Klaus Schwab's You'll own nothing and you'll be happy ☹️
The front end looks very undersprung. Hope you're not hitting the belly on the road when coming out of the whoops.
Luckily it had been raining out there, otherwise you might have still been out there with a dusted engine. #ToyotaDyson
A new model doesn’t ride as good as the old model that’s a worry why would you buy it.
Hardly a challenging off road drive. Take it off track for a few thousand kms and see how the low front end, electric tech wiring, DPF in dry grass and passenger rated 18 inch tyres perform.
See you choose a Toyota.. fair enough if you want to get back home and don't die in the sun...
They had to be rescued, so a Mitsubishi was sent.
@@perpetualgrin5804 why not a Range Rover or Defender?
@@benjioel they couldn’t get one they were out rescuing other stranded Toyotas
@@stevegordon-hall2732 Bravo to the Rovers. Atleast they can rescue Corollas and Rav 4s in the city desert.
