@@bikerboyT1050 The Enfields ARE pretty hard to resist. Rented one for a few days recently. Better for a smaller-framed person, but still VERY Likeable!! But good stuff coming from India, I MUST say!

Cost/range and recharging time/locations are the biggest challenges to e-vehicles in general. Hence the need for 'hybrids'... Ebikes with pedals are like a hybrid but weight vs pedal power becomes an issue quickly...

Hey, let me know how that goes. I was thinking of using a Sporty or Twin Cam Softail for a conversion for the sake of keeping the transmission and having a large space for battery packs. I have an M8 Softail, but it hits a spot in my heart that I don't want to lose.
The Sporty would be lighter than a TC big twin, but it would be much easier to use the TC. The Sporty trans case also acts as the primary case, and that could be a headache. the trans case on the TC is compact and independent of the primary.

Number 9, not the fastest lol! It goes over 100mph! I have an NIU GT Pro Max. 2021 model. I love it, it's more a moped. It does 30mph and max 40 miles on one charge. Thats all I really need though for my short commute to work and back. I laughed at number 9 as my lovely red NIU is way way slower! It's slow but nippy. I love electric vehicles! Can't wait to upgrade my car to an electric, I just pray prices come down.

Today everyone is jumping in the adventure bike bandwagon! BMW with his GS, Honda with his Africa twin, Yamaha with his Tenere, Harley with his Pan America...Just to name a few! Zero bring the electric DSR and honnestly it's a fracking good move they did since millitairy and police departement order them for stealth and low cost operation. All other may need to add one in their line up ASAP if they want a piece of that big cake. Damon look nice but they need to cut corners to come with a lower retail price similar to Zero. 100Mph is more then enough on a Dual sport bike.

I really enjoyed the video, but I am not really into motorcycles!
I don't know the answer, but I'll bet it's about $100-K or more.
My favorites are the Zaiser & the Fuell..... I wonder why the Zaiser's rear tire is so skinny ?
I love electrics. There should be standards for posting specs. Typically what is posted for range is City where there is regen . If range is posted at 300 miles , it will be half that if bike is used on the open road where there is no regen and hwy speeds. Also. Charging is a serious problem as most charging stations have broken or unusable stations creating a nightmare. So.. In aggregate, you are buying a urban grocery getting commuter. If Ebikes and E cars are good, then let the markets dictate which way to go. Let the people decide. People vote with their money.
I know if I bought one of these bikes,then a couple years later they're sure to come out with better solid state batteries. With more range, cycles & faster charging times. If I never buy an electric motorcycle then they'll never come out with solid state batteries.

The Zaiser looks terrible and I wonder what the build quality will be like on the cheaper bikes made in India. Other than that, very interesting to see that electric bikes seem to be improving quickly.
You might not think that if you look at the build quality of SOME Indian-made scooters (motorcycles) like the great Enfields, for example. Just wish they would start building for slightly LARGER-framed humans...same with China! I like to sit upright, and not all scrunched and bent Over! -Al

I too lean toward the Indian Ultraviolette and Mantis' affordability. However the Fuell Fllow from New York is quite impressive with 85 mph, 150mi range and 30 min charging time. The Ninebot Segway Hydrogen power reminds me of water as fuel. What happened to that concept?

It's coming....it's all about the infrastructure! Some cool stuff here, I MUST say.....unless you are 6 ft. tall and like to ride more sitting UP......not hunched over sportbike style.

@@bigbird3420 The Fuell has a futuristic design that might be more commonplace in 5 years. Best part is it's more aerodynamic. Being a lifetime biker, Wind drag = higher fuel costs...
@@abaddonbolero9605 Good point you have there. In my 20's, 150 miles in sportbike mode was all my back could take. Now, in my 70's, I cruise sitting up vertically, windshield breaking the wind, feet spread away from engine heat and catching maximum airflow up to 700 miles/day...

48 horsepower, 180kg and 0-60 in 2.7 seconds.
If I assume a rider weight of 80kg, that equals almost exactly 48 horsepower on average, not peak!

I now nobody there wait for this heavy too high price Bikes!! with a range from max.100-150km when you drive midle fast,when you drive fast like in germany on Autobahn is 100km max range!! No tour bikes are this e-bikes,only for city short trips!! And no nothing good sound,sound like a city e-train! I dont like big e-bikes, for pedelecs with a small battery and 25kg are fantstic bikes for the city!! But a real good gasoline bike you cant chance it with a e-motobike
Meh to all of these. Since I'm not having any kids I'm perfectly fine with burning 93 octane until I die or these beat that out somehow. Probably not within my lifetime. Enjoy your waterworld in the future kids, we enjoyed the petroleum product power in this era. Sucks about losing Florida though. The E Bike segment of the motorcycle market is filled with mostly under engineered one off designs that rely on novelty for the small trickle of demand. They don't compete with traditional bikes for sales because most of them would easily lose in all parameters other than speed for the few that utilize electric motors inherent advantage. Though, speed alone kills if not paired with handling, braking, CG, etc. It will be quite some time until we find e-bikes that are a wiser purchase than traditional bikes!

Isn't it funny how california is running out of electricity? Sure is unsustainable. Better not transition to all electrical vehicles too soon. Funny how the idea of emotional ratger tgan ratiknal design doesn't instill confidence in technical ability to deliver sustainable out comes especially given the carbon foot print of mining the metals used in batteries.

Hahaha! California running out of electricity!??? Ridiculous, solar panels and the Sun make that statement absurd!!! Add to that wind, water, and more advanced tech and many thousands of years are very secure. Also, near-future technologies will improve net output by tenfold or more!!! Your imagination and knowledge are stuck in the 50s-60s! Wake up!
The only downside will be losing the sound and feel of an actual 4 cycle REAL motorcycle!
Of course, a good amplifier (electric) and a large variety of mp3s can simulate the sounds we'll miss! The love for the bikes we've had will be preserved in our ability to innovate! Yeah, we CAN have our cake and eat it too! Future nuclear sources of electricity will make coast to coast rides the norm!!! C'mon man, we're Americans (so far), we can do ANYTHING!!!

Exactly, drivers have a hard enpugh time noticing a loud gas powered motorcycle on the road how is anyone not even taking that into consideration.
As a motorcycle and car enthusiasm, I would take the Tesla anytime (performance, gas saving, range, charging infrastructure), but for an electric motorcycle ... makes no sense to me. I don't need any faster motorcycle than already is, and current gas cost is almost negligible.
