have you seen any reverse scooters that look like a polaris slingshot. I thought I found one a few months ago that could do 50MPH and didnt need plates to operate. I cant find it now and really liked the idea. Any help would be appreciated. I do like some of the cool ones in this vid.

I'm glad that Arcimoto upped their game to 75MPH, however a 100 mile range is horrendous.
Arcimoto almost has it right, they just need to make it more weather proof,road trip worthy that could be used as a daily driver...If all it can really do is run around town, you might as well buy a cheaper scooter or golf cart....Check out the VW NILS electric vehicle (needs to be a tandem 2 seater) If Arcimoto made their vehicle similar to it, I think more people would consider buying one.
@@michaelbrinks8089 Besides being ugly, the VW NILS electric vehicle has one seat and a lot of cargo. I really like the Carver 1 gas trike.
@@carlscottamos6501 The VW XL-1 hybrid is proof they can build a 200mpg daily driver hybrid but it's slow. Something like the Carver, Elio or 2 seated NILS hybrid could easily get over 100mpg,small narrow for parking, have a decent amount of power, able to use yr round & for long distance travel. It could also be built to handle a bit of snow,rough roads. It's like they refuse to use common sense when making them. If it was cheaper than a regular car but capable of road trips & daily use (rain,cold) getting groceries and got over 100 mpgs the fuel savings alone would make it practically pay for itself causing more to want to buy.

I guess the concept one that Can-Am (Electric Spyder) has a video of never went further. The roadster looks pretty cool, but that range isn't great.. the whole exploration angle would suck with that range (and finding places to recharge).

I have a white Arcimoto in my driveway as my only transportation. Fantastic! Actually in production in the US so you don't have to stab your neighbor in the back by buying a foreign brand vehicle.

Arcimoto going into mass production next year. Should become quite a bit less expensive($12000, I think is their target) and alot more widely available.
Also they are working on a platform 2, which is going to a step change smaller and cheaper.
They displayed the first driverless fuv last week, should find out more on the earnings call mid August.
Going to be very exciting to see what the future holds, as a investor and future purchaser.
I don´t see it making it to the public. Too large and cumbersome. They´re competing against things like Spyder with tons of development behind. I would buy an Aptera instead of one of these things that could disappear in a couple of years.

The I tank is promising if you double the specs on speed and range plus reverse is good😊
Once the battery technology gets better, more miles per charge and less charging times then i will consider buying one.
Just remember that many accidents over 25 mph speeds up the chances to ended in Fatality.

The last two cost as much as a small car, need to watch the top end price.
That´s why I say, they won´t make it.
Not only has Arcimoto made it, but they are THRIVING! LOOK UP FUV stock symbol. Oh, and invest cuz it's only a couple bucks a share and is going up about 7% a week on average
The iTank looks nice and the price to but the FUV is more practical but cost to much IMO.
Price will drop as soon as they start production up in the new plant in about 18 months.

Great video. I am passionate about this configuration and, in particular, electric propulsion.
I'm sorry I didn't see at the first position an electric reverse trike of over 200km/h, acceleration equal to a Ferrari, which deserves much more attention than you see given on UA-cam to other similar vehicles. Moreover, the startup would greatly need visibility to find additional funds necessary for the development of the project.
I know it is built in northern Europe. It is a tilting model, which also makes it narrower than other models of similar performance.

In France, the downtown, in a lot of "big" cities (for our country), is going prohibited to thermic vehicules. The mayors, the government, want we run in electric vehicules (car or bicycle). But I am old (69); The bicycle is dangerous for me. The e-cars are expensive and limited. The trikes are a good solution. My future on the streets of the city... 🤩😋

Electric vehicles are cool & stuff, but my heart desires a truly SHTF proof vehicle, and those will always pedal powered with electric assist and solar or some other renewable sources for the electric. Especially extra points if they are all terrain and amphibious and small enough to get around the gridlock of abandoned vehicles & able to at least tow some sort of micro tiny camper to keep you mobile if you need to be in a pinch.
You make a good point. Wtile not a true SHTF situation, many people need a vehicle that can handle climate extremes, including unploughed roads. Therefore AWD, extra ground clearance, and kick-ass HVAC are needed. People who make house calls or work gigs don't choose where, when, & how far they drive so solar cells and a small range extender are needed so the batteies can charge while the car is parked.
@@ak5659 No. The answer to climate change is not heavier more power hungry vehicles. Drop your fantasy. I don'd know what a SHTF is, and I don't care because it is something for a pipe dream in a theoretical afterlife for you. All terrain vehicles are severely damaging to the environment and should only be used by park workers or fire teams.

17,900$ for a vehicle like that is too much. No matter whatever anyone could say: remember you´re competing with cutting edge companies like Aptera: an enclosed trike like no other, and I would rather to spend my money on a solar rechargeable vehicle. Or maybe I´ve been broke for so much time that it seems like a lot. But getting an used car from the 90s and adapting a NGV bottle to burn natural gas seems to be a much better option money wise.
What an engineer´s opinion? cool.
1. Build a kit under 4999$ to allow transforming something ALREADY EXISTING like a busted Suzuki Burman, a Pacific Coast 800 or a Silverwing in an ENCLOSED, roofed 3 or 4 electric wheeler indestructible waterproof thing like a Peraves Ecomobile, that doesn´t need pampering. Forget about the stupidities like "niche" markets or "specialty" vehicles and make your profits by selling in NUMBERS!! Make everyone to sell their cars (that maybe don´t even need as much) and buy one of those kits.
2. Use local 3d large-format printing technology companies and LOCAL welding shops.
3. Allow the small guy to put food on their tables, and forget about building in China, for God´s sake, making the Chinese Communist Party members more rich every single minute: they´ve proven to be a parasitic Gang, manipulating serious initiatives like Bitcoin and other cryptos.
Otherwise, face the destiny of many other manufacturers who didn´t survive.

In the bike world "reverse" trikes are referred to tadpole version while a trike with one wheel steering in the front is called a delta model.
What do we call two steering wheels in the rear?- Dangerous!

Not true. Tadpoles are a very specific configuration with the front tires canted inwards. They are a sub category of reverse trikes.
Except for the largest models that went 75mph, the others major detracting feature was a low top speed like 15 or 30mph which make them unusable on roads where people are likely to go 10 to 20mph over the posted speed limit and there you are with the tiny mass vehicle about to get runned over.

Why roadster so expensive?
Because Arcimoto hasn't started to mass produce yet. They just started to build a plant. Prices should start dropping a lot in about 20 months. This is just the beginning. They will work out all the bugs and make improvements. I really think they have a future and will be well on the way in 3 yrs.

Some times I find the script to be very clunky with some poorly fitting words, or full of too much marketing 'wank'.
10:00 - A petrol motor is also 'power assistance' so NOT invented by Yamaha in 1989, if you care to look up the meaning of 'moped', you'll find 'motorised pedal cycle' as the root. If a petrol engine is not 'assitance' I don't know what is.
Almost all are overpriced! Am I the only one aware that a lot of people are still struggling financially... I suppose these companies especially Acrimoto want greener participation except the poor.

That is for using busses and trains, maybe a bicycle, and not going if it can't be traveled responsibly. Write letters, talk on the phone, do video facetime. Our generation stole the future from your daughter, now let's make it at least look like we are sorry and willing to help with what is left. I'm your age but I live sustainably in a tiny home, have bought no gas for 7 years now. I don't eat beef or fly and my family line dies with me. That is also my gift to your daughter by not perpetuating what has been in excess. I bought my FUV 9 months ago. My average trip is 5 miles. I have not left my town in 7 years. Think about the big picture.

And i liked the fub that you could drive it to town I'd get me a trailer and put my groceties in it and come home but then they showed the roadster it was nice but i live on a fixed income that doesn't pay much just enough to live on and do you need a driver's license if you put it on the Highway?
