    The recent agreement on swappable batteries with Honda, ktm and others hints to me that we should see the big makers have the dealer back up for the inevitable breakdown and servicing well need.

    The Black Tea Bonfire is a moped. Its in the 50cc class and reaches 45 KPH. The Bonfire X is in the 125cc class, and reaches 90 KPH. The small one comes with 1 battery, a second as option. Battery costs 1000 €, and you get double the range. But order a second at start, then you get a different connector. The X always has 2 Batteries, caused by the more power consumption.
    European cities are much smaller than in the US. I guess, driving arround in Manhattan without crossing the river would be perfect with that range. And if you drive in city speed, you get more distance. Distances are in top speed. Slower = more range

    Famel once was the german company Zündapp. They build mopeds since the early 70s. Then in the late 80s they sold their production equipment to asia and mass produce mopeds. I had a Zündapp C 50 Sport when i was a teen.

      Here's a thunk: Invest in a small sogen with a Lifepo4 battery (safer than Lithium-Ion and 2500+ cycles to 80% vs L-Ion's 200-750 cycles and -L-Ion's propensity of being an extreme fire-hazard when charging/discharging); a 100-300 watt foldable/portable solar panel; a small trailer and an ebike - so you can ride to your heart's desire and never have to worry about running out of power for your ride or your other devices you drag along for your ride(s). Greetings,
    Okay. I wanted to see what was available in e-bikes.
    Unfortunately, your apparent dependence on manufacturers videos results in quick edits and weird camera angles.
    The result is that you can’t get a decent look at the motorcycle.
    It’s almost as if the manufacturers are embarrassed by the design of their products.
    Let’s be careful out there.

    I really like the Honda 1985 V65 Sabre or the Honda 1986 VFR750 F Interceptor.

    be another reason to buy one. Great Videos thank you for them.

    Where are the inverted front forks on the Veitis EV Twin? My 2019 Honda Monkey rides better than that thing will, and it gets about 30 miles on a thimble full of gas, and goes 55 mph. Not bad for a $4,000 price tag. Come on, man, Regular forks on a "high tech", high priced" motor bike? Might as well put lipstick on a pig and call it beauty.

    no offece meant but these are shit,missing the point of a bike entirely,i heard the specs ,let me give an example of what is the least bike you want ,its a honda 90 ,range on one fill there claim 200 miles reality 150 ,top speed 60 mph yup downhill achievable, there were so many in the list which fall so short of a thing that harley riders would call training wheels, give me 80 plus mph id feel safe on a motorway 200 mile range and make it light and nimble like a 250 and equal cost to buy. then and only then will i consider an electric motorcyle.

    Your videos are so well-made and you give such great commentary i’ve been looking for an electric bike for awhile now and this is really helped me out as I need a way to get to college and I’m so sick of public transport honestly didn’t realise how much I liked motorcycles until I discovered retro ones i’m definitely gonna subscribe

    • @observingrogue7652
      @observingrogue7652 2 роки тому

      My disgust of public transportation, is part of what got me into motorcycles in the first place. I already liked riding bicycles, I just really hated the limits of my body, and wanted to go faster. And I hate how long it takes to get anywhere with buses & trains, I hate the random service rerouting or shutting down lines. And I hate the stupid cultists trying to pressure me into their garbage religion, in stations, stuck with them on trains, and now they're singing & preaching in buses.
      Motorcycles give me the freedom & independence governments & gods don't want me to have, because they want to own me.

    I saw the last bike, the veitius at the bike show a few years ago great looking bike. The company owner was doing some market research at the time and back then he was pitching the price around £20,000 range. The live wire had just come out so I think he was aiming for the same price bracket. That was a few years ago and the price may be lowere, but one thing about the bike it has lots of tech on it , looked great sounded fantastic ( he had it on a static track so you could see the thing running ).

    • @andrewmorgan6775
      @andrewmorgan6775 2 роки тому

      Their website has it as £40,000. That, for a 70 mph/100 mile roadster, is outrageous! Especially when you can get the Energica Flagship Experia, which does closer to 200 miles at motorway speeds, for £12,000 less. The nearest Emotorcycle to it, performance wise, is the Horwin and that is £7,000.

    Seems like more than half are concept/ not for sale yet and you are giving a guess as to what you think it should sell for. I think you should stick to models that are 1.Available 2. Have a current Retail Price. And 3. A verified spec sheet. I’ve seen the same thing with E foils and E surfboards. Half are scams or concepts that never go past a drawing. Most are not even close to the spec they print. And 2 or 3 are actually the real thing. But cost double or triple what was estimated in these pre release videos. short video I know but way more useful if you are shopping for something now.

    Haha, are you biased towards British bikes.
    From a design point of view I have problems with the Veitis, it simply tries to mimic a V engine with a gas tank???
    If you look at some of the e-bikes they manage to introduce new designs that are focused on the new opportunities a battery and a more compact engine give you.
    btw, are there any "motorbikes" with hub motors? .... get rid of this old school drive train concept :-)

    They should eventually develop some kind of battery fairing, which fakes the looks of a cumbustion engine. The Veitis makes a first small step in this direction.
    This in conjunction with faked combustion engine and exhaust sound is a must to get the attention of current combustion engine motorcycle riders. I can't understand, why the developers of E-motorcycles do not take account for this. It just seems like they are living in their own bubble.
    Uh, and vibrations! I completely gorgot about vibrations. They have to develop something to create artificial vibrations.

    Stop pimpin'the 125 and 250 that you would have to ride on the sidewalk or bike path. You are perpetuating the idea that electric motorcycles are mobility scooters and should stick to the bike routes.
