It's not just that they play horn-based music, the selection of bands they cover -Chicago, Ides of March, EW&F, Tower of Power, Steeleye Dan, BS&T, even Carpenters - are not exactly known for making simple music. Even if some of the songs may be classified as "easy-listening" doesn't necessarily mean it's simple; it just means it's soothing, easy to listen to. The music is often infused with jazz-influences with all the intricacies and refinement it entails. It invites you to listen to these songs over-and-over again and with each listening discover other little hidden gems within it. Each of the songs on the L&F playlist does credit to its writers and L&F have the skills to play it to perfection.
Leonid and Friends are nothing short of freaking AMAZING!! I was fortunate enough to see them and meet and talk with most of the band members after the concert. Best concert I have EVER been to, and I'm old!!! (63) I could listen to them all day. You have GOT to check out their rendition of "Vehicle, and Spinning wheel"... Wow... Everything they touch is pure gold. Please check those songs out. I just can't say enough good about the band and the quality of each musician performing. They are all so nice to talk with also!!! I was on cloud 9 for weeks after meeting them, and will continue to go see them again whenever they come back!!! It doesn't get better than this. Enjoy! 🎶
The bassist and head honcho decided to treat himself to a special birthday present and hired some studio musicians and a studio to cover a song from his favorite band...that's how it all kicked off.
Yes sir! These guys are fabulous. Their cover of “Introduction” is fantastic! You showed a short clip of it but I would love to see your reaction to the full version. I also liked their take on “Street Player” and “Beginnings”.
Boy is that a great cover, and it’s my favourite track from Chicago! Better still I know of Leo, he’s done a few collaborations with some of the guys on JustinGuitar community (which I’ve been on for years), he’s a really nice guy and this explains why we’ve not seen and heard of him for a while! Everything they did as a collab was always something special!
"Lay-o-need", in Russian. This is a Tribute band, not a cover band...that is, they try to sound as much like the original studio recording, as possible.
"Glommed onto"? Dude, Leonid tells a story of getting a copy of Chicago Transit Authority a few years after it was released when American music was not allowed in the USSR. He loves the music, is a huge fan of Chicago and loves American music of this type.

"Superstar" Karen Carpenter L.F. cover. Just a masterpiece!!

Listen “Introduction”. Is other level!
Where it all started - favourites for many of us. The line up changed but all the new guys fit in so well.
It actually started with "Brand New Love Affair".
Chicago made me want to take up the trumpet, back in the day. So glad to hear such professionals picking up the torch.

Their version of Street Player tops the original by a good bit. (Well, tops Chicago's cover of the original. I mean.)
That’s for sure 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Like the Warning... everything from L&F is unbelievable!
Cut me off a piece of that! So freakin' good! One of my new favorite bands!
THEY PLAY EARTH WIND AND FIRE ( IN THE STONE ) BRILLIANT AND JAW BREAKING MUSICAL BAND.

Este grupo es muy bueno ,toca covers de bandas como chicago excelentemente bien ,solo le falta componer sus propios temas para trasender
