Rain and Apparition are by far the most hard rock radio friendly songs on the album. Fit that nice radio hit formula but they absolutely slap.

Could you please explain to me what does this line means? My English sucks so I just can't understand some metaphores and allegories in their lyrics😅
"When i open my eyes to the future, i can hear you say my name" has the be one of the most hard hitting lyrics ever. Or maybe i just miss her that much.
The last 2 lines of the 1st section and this line here destroy me.
To me Rain is beautifully written with the chorus chanting of "Rain down on me" and the choir clap which is thematic and reminiscent of actual worship music. While he could be talking about the Sleep deity, to me he's actually crying out for solace from a lover; asking for the cleansing through pleasure, wash away all the salt and dust like the rain. But he acknowledges that this love is not healthy; loss of recognition of his self with the dissolving shadow, being manipulated like an entranced serpent. As well, he is not innocent as he describes himself as having eyes of a lamb with the mouth of a wolf ready to devour with lust. Still he doesn't care because this is the type of love that he thinks he deserves. Submits to her "love" because the relief is worth it. The temporary relief of rain.

The way they drop into that chorus riff with II making the drum fill run and III drops in on the bass uhhhhhhhh so clean, cant get enough of that!! Worship!!!

On the album it's all Vessel except the drums. III and IV are live musicians only.
That scream on the last drop stopped me in my tracks one day. I was listening with amazing earbuds and i almost lost my breath.... 😵
When he's singing this way, Vessel's voice is like melted butter and soooo.... I could listen to him sing like this for ever. And definitely, yes. Sleep Token are a genre of their own!

Album of the year for sure. Vessel is bafflingly good. The fact that he somehow teamed up with such an inventive and unique drummer as II is also incredible. II's insane talent and influences mixed together with Vessel's genius is a great example of fate.
My favourite part of this song is the screaming at the end, like the way it's DEEP in the mix is SO GOOD. like it's brilliant, that decision to have a scream in this song AND have it so deep in the mix that u might miss it on the first listen? Like unfortunately when the album dropped my good earbuds were out of commission so I didn't actually hear the scream until I was blasting this song in my car. 😭 Like I love love love Ascensionism and Take Me Back To Eden, but holy shit the layers in this song are NEXT LEVEL.

I think Sleep Token is a great example of adding metal to any piece of music will typically enhance it. I don't typically listen to rap/hip-hop or pop.. but when you add distorted guitars/mad drum fills and some sceams it builds it up to the next level. I'd love to see more rappers rap under metal, and more hip-hop to get guitarists to complment what they're doing. While it may not be for everyone, crossing these genre lines is what I'm all about now.
I have listened to this song like over 50 times and I still get goosebumps.

This is quite possibly the best band on the planet. IMO Sleep Token IS.
The mix is what really captures the emotion in their songs. Well written music and well mixed audio is something special when they come together...

Ill never forget the first time i heard about Sleep token: i was listening Sal3m's "Love Is a wonderfull lie" and someone compared Matteo's voice with vessel, as a compliment. I never heard of sleep token till that moment. The offering was my first song. Then Alkaline came out, later, the love you want, hypnosis... And here we are now. One of my favourite bands so far today. We are whitnesing something huge, guys. 🖤
