I've seen a few reactors who said they didn't like the ending, but I LOVE the ending. Vessel said he was going to bite back in anger, and he freaking DID.
I feel like that small twang right before the last chorus (13:35) kind of gave away the heavy ending. I had a feeling after listening to Sleep Token for so long I was literally thinking “I HEARD THAT! DO IT! DO IT!”
Their entire discography is great, but this latest album has something for every mood. Jazz? Aqua Regia Rock? Rain Classic Rock Ballad? Are you really ok More hybrid? Ascentionism I will say, if you like emotional masterpieces, look up their song Bloodsport (the room below version). You’ll see Vessel play the keyboard and sing his heart out. Great reaction, looking forward to seeing more.
That last section is what he meant by "bite back in anger" lol. TMBTE was also my first ST song, then listened to Ascensionism - and that's all it took for ST to become one of my absolute favorite bands.
fun fact: Sleep Token, in the studio, is basically two people. The bassist and the guitarist (III and IV respectively) are only touring members. The instrumentals (keys, guitar and bass), the writing, composition, lyrics, some production and the overall artistic direction of the band are all done by the singer, Vessel. What is left are basically the drums, which you guessed it are done by the drummer II.
This isn’t true anymore since the end of the trilogy III and IV are now productive members of the band for their next steps. This came about when they got their own social medias
Their entire discography is an auditory movie (great description btw). Listen to "The night does not belong to god" (first song on the first full length album), and then "Euclid" (last song on the latest album). Its crazy how they write music. Vessel is the vocalist and write all the music along with the drummer who goes by the name "II". Other members are just traveling musicians for the live shows. The rabbit hole is beyond worth the time. Worship!

Ascensionism is my favourite song ever (at least at the moment), but it only hit as hard as it did because I heard songs like Granite and Chokehold before it. Definitely with you here
@@TheNamesFathom exactly. Also, too many people back to back TMBTE and Ascensionism and because they are (very deliberately) similar in structure the impact of the songs evolution is diminished. There is a reason the 4 slowest, and more low key tracks separate these on the album.
Oh wow I finally stumbled upon a ST reaction that JUST happened. Can't wait to see more. Their latest album is genre bending at its finest and their lyricism is on another level.
This is probably one of the most epic if not the most epic ST songs. The feels in it grab you cause ST convey emotion and feeling through genres and lyrics. When Vessel is sad/happy the mood is soft. When Vessel is pissed or feels upset, the music changes genres and lyrics become more straight forward. When Vessel is angry the music goes hard and the vocals go guttural. Vessel wants you to feel what he feels and holy shit does it freakin work! I am a 42 year old man that loves Metalcore music and ST has captivated me. I can’t remember the last time music has brought me to tears. I love this band! Worship!!!!!

Dude sleep token is a huge journey. Not a bad song in the bunch, all with a connecting theme. This album in particular, they call back to songs as far back as their first LP. Highly recommend reacting to the albums by tracklist order. So in this instance, the first song for Take Me Back to Eden would be “Chokehold.” Would not be mad at all, though, if you just started with their first LP and worked your way forward.
