@CShayTunes I would think 4 would be pissed if he didn't get credited for his part if he did the screams on the studio version. When I saw Sleep Token last, I heard Vessel scream without 4, and it sounded like the album. I have a feeling he has 4 do it live with him so he doesn't overdo it. Either way, you could be right, but unfortunately, anyone who helps them produce refuses to talk about their studio time.

I mean, them sounding similar could just be 4's influence and tips coming in to play in vessel's screams. His Sundowning screams were not very healthy, but when they went on tour with all the bands with great screamers (especially Nothing More) he probably got a lot of advice as well

this is my favorite song by them. the lyric "my my those eyes like fire im a winged insect you're a funeral pyre" is so ingrained in me after i heard it the first time. he said like a moth to a flame BUT BETTER.

This is the song that made me fall in love with them! The line “My, My, those eyes like fire. I’m a winged insect you’re a funeral pyre.” Is just incredible
This chorus specifically has a couple of clichés I found a bit hard to digest: The "higher, fire, desire" rhyme every pop song uses, and the "moth into a flame" every metal band uses.
However, Vessel does add "wires, tired" and changing "flame" to "pyre" helps a lot to make it fresh.
The song is a masterpiece of course, just wanted to share what I felt when I first heard this particular chorus.

Hear me out, I have a suggestion for your Sleep Token experience.
The last three albums have come to us since September of 2019. There is a lot of intricate callbacks between each of the albums, and the meat of this is truly in understanding that each of these songs is in worship to a god they call Sleep, and each song is a Token. We've been on this ride for the last few years and the trilogy concluded with this album. So here is what I propose:
Listen through Sundowning, their first album. Do reactions, listen to it for a week. Maybe a month, but don't listen to any of their other albums. Just that one. Then for the next week/month, listen to This Place Will Become Your Tomb. Finally for the last month, make your way through Take Me Back to Eden (the album). There is amazing payoff for this, especially in "Euclid," their final track on their album.
Regardless, it's been an absolute joy watching you discover this and have a nearly transcendental experience.

It's so rare to see someone reacting the same way as you. I've been listening to this song on repeat since it released - I made the same faces. I jumped out of my chair. I freaked out in the exact same way you did. It's hilarious - and great content to see something personable and real. You got good taste, bro.
Regardless, I've never heard something more hauntingly beautiful in my life. I'm not sure anything will surpass this song for me, I definitely don't say that lightly. The way sleep token manages to merge five genres of music into a single song and make it feel seamless - gorgeous - and heavy enough to work out too is fucking impeccable. This song creates emotion that no other track ever has - to my ears - and I never want it to end. They deserve the worship they've been asking for, they deserve the hype, and they certainly deserve representation all over the world. Already got tickets to see them in Michigan, ready to get krunked, run around in a mosh pit, slowly nod my head, and cry all during the exact same fucking show.

Take Me Back to Eden was the first song of theirs that i heard, because the youtube algorithm suggested it to me, and after that i was laying on the couch with my eyes closed listening to the rest of their music.
I think it's amazing how this band almost paints an audible picture, thank you for your appreciation, I will never forget this collective of talent. Treasure this point in time for music lovers of ALL genres.
I believe genuinely that this will be a turning point in music. I'm hearing more and more genre bending metal and blues/jazz influenced composition. I don't think many artists will be aware of who did it but I feel honored to be here for it and to spread the word.

For me every song is great, I am personally a fan of a lot of the nuances in the album like that roar. There is also some repeated elements in this song from Chokehold the intro track to the album.
The best thing you can do for sleep token is buy the album, or some merch. A lot of us genuinely do not care who Vessel or Vessel2 are. Supporting them financially and spreading the love is sufficient :). Going to see them 2 times this summer on their North America tour.

@@lunarsolstice7081 Vessel and the Drummer II (or Vessel 2). They are the only members that have ever actually been credited as writers/composers of the music. The others are primarily just live performers. So in all reality, this is almost ENTIRELY the project/vision of one man… being Vessel. But he’s not a drummer so II is appropriately credited for his writing.
@@lunarsolstice7081 my understanding is that the guitarist, bassist and choir people are all touring musicians. In the credited works vessel1 is credited for writing everything besides engineering and drums for every album and works as a producer alongside engineers. That is not uncommon for bands.
The drumming style since the beginning has been very much so 2's style. I don't think though that this is a polyphia situation within the band.
We can give credit where it's due....first off vessel is amazing he does it all. 2 is such an underated drummer but if you know his past he is an absolute monster. Bass player ain't going nowhere that dude is hype as shit live and loves his job....they don't want him gone he brings so much out live.

It’s to avoid copyright strikes. While most bands love reaction videos and seeing people give feedback on their work and art, record labels do not. They think they take away from their views and money. Which makes zero sense because you wouldn’t only come here to listen to it, and if this is the only time you’d listen, you weren’t going to listen on other platforms anyway. But record label logic.

I haven't even watched this yet and I have to subscribe. First 5 seconds and you are jamming out to who has been my favorite group the past 13 years, Escape the Fate. And you are reacting to my other favorite group, Sleep Token. I love it.
So you've kind of done some of the songs in the reverse order. That's not really a bad thing but it'll be interesting to see if you can catch the references that they have in this track for example, when you hear the original material. Euclid in particular has references to songs from an older album so I imagine that one won't hit quite as hard as it does for longer time fans but again, it's not really a big deal because all their shit's insanely good and you'll be able to recognise that stuff on repeat listens later anyway.
