This was so much fun! I have a recording of my grandmother from 1980, the year she died at age 79. She was raised in the US state of Iowa. I grew up in New Mexico, and she was a daily presence in my life until she died. Recently I listened to that recording, after nearly 40 years, and the mid-western accent often called the "Rusty Saw" was so obvious! It was an eye opener from my youth when it was just grandma's voice.
@@aliceramdom.s I believe this was a reply back to the comment of 4 different accents on the interviewer couch and just threaded wrong. Regardless, who does it hurt? 🤷♀️ This video, or the comments, triggered a heartwarming memory for this person and they are sharing it, let it go at that.
When Michael Sheen said that dialects could be different between streets, it reminded me of a scene from the US series, _Homicide: Life on the Street._ The detectives are interviewing a suspect and, for some reason I can no longer remember, the conversation gets onto the topic of where in Baltimore one of the detectives was from. The suspect said that just from how someone says "Baltimore", he could tell within a 20 block radius where that person grew up within the city.
Terrible interviewers. They keep asking questions and then answering them for the guest. "Have you ever kept a wardrobe piece--in X, you had a nice wardrobe." "That's what inspired you, isn't it?"
Alex is the worst, how on she got a gig on TV is beyond me, suspect it was her teeth, she was a shoe-in for a former host, who was also extremely toothsome, and who pissed off the BBC by switching to the opposition. Just terrible.

ANOTHER BBC "Class Act" in "Good Omens", lost to a subscription service? THIS HAS TO STOP! This EXCELLENT comedic drama was a breath of fresh air and had me riveted to the TV when it was broadcast, WITHOUT ADVERTS, on the BBC! CHILDREN'S TV have all been separated from the main channels on TV and are now 24hr a day "babysitting channels" mainly lost to "streaming services" with the obligatory "paywalls"!
