No my friend, the greatness of this is 2 humans who understand comedy and improv, if you can absolutely master those 2 skills then nothing can stop you, if you can be funny and be ready for any dialogue promoted towards yourself and also reply very wittily or crack a joke at the question, I assume you can make it far in any career.
I don’t get how James cordon is a thing when Craig exists… The chemistry the man creates with literally any guest he has on is amazing. No forced laughter or annoying stuff just, genuine discussion
David Tennant will always have the best portrayal of the Doctor. He played him in such a chaotic but fun way and just all around gave the Doctor a great personality. No wonder Doctor Who’s popularity peaked during his era as the Doctor.
And in keeping with the seriousness with which they take it, they would insist on calling it "broad Scots". I had a Scottish friend (RIP, Tom) who told me the right way to ask if someone speaks the separate Scottish language (lummy this is getting complicated) is "Do they have the Gallic?"
My goodness, you're right. And for the benefit of late (late) night Stateside audiences who can't get their ears around the Guid Scots Tongue they SHOUT at each other. But they're both fine actors.
As someone with a Scottish accent, worst than most, I actually have to slow down when speaking and force myself to speak more proper so that people outside Scotland can understand me 😂
it's too bad craig wasn't host anymore after peter capaldi became the doctor, i think that would've been a killer interview since they were actually in a band together
David is usually such a dominating voice when he interviews, super magnetic and hilarious- but he seemed so meek next to Craig's absolute onslaught of humor and overall presence. Looked like he wanted to watch Craig more than put on a good show himself!
Exactly! I was watching the whole video, waiting to hear the "contagious laugh" ... and nada. Anything more than about a 3 "syllable" chuckle kept getting drowned out by Craig and the audience's laughter. :(
Capaldi did a very decent job in merging traits of the fourth and tenth Doctor in his persona and then merged some of his own traits to that already superb mix. I admit that I too suffer from tennantditis and wish him back in the role - if only in cameos.
I miss Craig. James Corden is ok but I used to stay up late and sneak downstairs to watch Craig b/c he swore and told dirty jokes. during middle school those were the things that made me laugh so hard that I had to watch with a pillow over my mouth so I wouldn't get in trouble with my parents for being up so late. Such fond memories
Loved that Craigs shows always seemed chaotic and unscripted. Now exactly how much that was true we’ll probably never know but personally I liked the vibe it gave off 😄
True. I went to a taping when Carrie Fisher was on. There might be a second take after a line to make it clearer after the improvised first take, and there were specific beats or info on the prompter for Craig, but otherwise it's all magical and spontaneous. It's a pretty quick taping, but really fun.
Craig Ferguuson's Late Late Show always kinda has the vibe like a 4 year old in an adult man's body broke onto the set and they just let him have a show, and that made it the best talk show available
I absolutely love David Tennant & this is why. I was having a really lonely day, scanning through all my satellite channels looking for something to watch. There was Dr Who. I had never heard of it, but something appealed to my geekie sci-fi self. So every Saturday I would find the show & watch it. David Tennant was incredible. I would watch his idea of the Doctor. His eyes told the story he was trying to tell. Then I became addicted to Dr Who. I have the series on DVD's from the Christopher Eccelson opening until they went to sleep for hr VIRUS. Now all I have to do is see his name in something happening, & will tune in, buy the videos or pvr it. So a couple of years ago I saw he had a new series coming out. It's called GOOD OMENS. As soon as I heard about it, I phoned BBC & ordered it. Binged watched this series. Loved it . It is just appearing on our BC sci-fi channel. If you like Sci-Fi & like David & Dr Who - this series is fantantistic
It's hilarious they covered the word "piss" using a Scottish flag and the word "bollocks" 😂 I bet Craig told them it just meant "oh deary me" or somesuch 😂🤣😂
I laughed so hard I cried two times during this whole show. The first time was losing David in the "lot of Scottish people in Canada" beat and the other was sudden Jimmy Fallon. This is amazing
TBH Craig's look in here would actually fit the Classic Era Masters. Imagine him and Twelve clashing haha (of course, Michelle's Missy is quite a grand on her own)
David Tennant the best doctor ever and Craig Ferguson , damn I miss his show one of the funniest talk show hosts ever, him and Connan loved them the best.
The best late night talk show host ever. Thank you JLF for introducing me to him as a talk show host. I saw him perform many years ago in scotland. DT best DW ever.
it wasn't revealing at all though! I thought this was an interview but it felt like 2 old friends at a coffee table. Like, they don't care to keep talking about their life events at all, nothing that the audience expected. I love it
I find a small action he does just before they start talking, he rips up his que cards. It gives the idea to the guest, yeah its a talk show but we are just talking and I dont care about serious questions. It makes eat celeb more open to just talk and be them selves. Every single interview he does. What a great person to talk to.
BC was named “British” Columbia to remind the Americans to keep their hands off it. At the time, the borders were under discussion and negotiation, so it was not a trivial concern. BC is a big province, with agriculture in the Interior, a lengthy Pacific Coast with lots of fish and crustaceans to harvest, and a strategic location. It’s easy to imagine the US government looking at BC the way earlier US governments had looked at Texas and New Mexico, or the land that became those states.
Love how they get increasingly Scottish as they talk to each other, it's like a Scottish accent resonator
A vortex of Scottish charm you might say
I have this downloaded to watch when I’m sad
you get it here in ireland as well. alcohol especially brings out the local dialect which is often quite funny lol
Whenever more than one Scot get together that happens.
@@Bagster321That was the Scottishest of the Scottish interviews I still go back to it
I love the sounds that two Scotsmen make when they agree with each other
Yes, me too xD
Now all they need is to add Karen Gillan and/or Peter Capaldi and then you'd have enough for a Scottish folk group
Well, Peter and Craig were in a punk band together way back when!
I love the sound(s) of two Scotsmen.
@@sarahkinsey5434 Your comment isn't getting enough love - it's delightful because it's true!
This is what talk shows to be. No silly gimicks. No games. No instrumental improv over laughter. Just two guys talking. You know.. A TALK SHOW!
two guys with personality and improv and comedic skills.
Some talk shows these days are just trying to make viral UA-cam videos.
@@nav579 some? Find one that doesn't do that
i mean craig did have his skeletal gimick, but i do agree i wouldve kept him over james corden

Craig is 1000% better than any of the current Late Late Show hosts.
Really sad he’s not on the air anymore.
I got to see Craig Ferguson as a part of the studio audience one time. It was very exciting and I had a great time. Once in a lifetime now.
This makes me perhaps 2° away from David Tennant and Michael Sheen.
Not even a close call.
Well Graham Norton is the only other that really does such a great job

MOST RELATABLE DAVID TENNANT QUOTE EVER
I don’t get how James cordon is a thing when Craig exists…

Craig's long gone, and Cordon is leaving soon too
fakeness is expected and even celebrated in american culture, so corden fits right in.
Craig chose to leave. CBS offered him a ton. He was tried of this format and layout and that’s fine!
I think Corden was literally Craig's replacement, I have a memory of a show introducing Corden as that.
@@imisstoronto3121Long gone from the show maybe, but he still exists...
It's a testament to David Tennant's ability that I only now realized how strong his real accent is.
Proof of a great actor. David in interviews is such a nice and funny guy and still plays some of the creepiest people on tv
Dennis Nilsen in Des
Oooft, yeah that was a chilling performance. Brilliant but disturbing
Michael Sheen too
"I'd rather hide under a table and not talk to anyone" why he's my Doctor.
Same, David. Same. xD
If you just read the line, you SWEAR 12 said it. All I picture is eyebrows
"You're talking to someone who doesn't give a rat's ass anymore."
The best comedy comes from truth.
I love it when Craig banters with the censorship. And poor Dave don't know what to say after 'vagina'.

I like the fact he went to full Scottish mode. Shame they never went broad Scottish that would be a treat.
And in keeping with the seriousness with which they take it, they would insist on calling it "broad Scots". I had a Scottish friend (RIP, Tom) who told me the right way to ask if someone speaks the separate Scottish language (lummy this is getting complicated) is "Do they have the Gallic?"
They made sure the audience actually understood them!
I had a great uncle who was just full Scottish mode all the time. Never understood a word he said. Might not work well on a talk show.
It's silly, but I just love the accents. I do believe the burr gets thicker as they speak to each other.
