I just got mine yesterday and started playing Marvel vs Capcom 3 Ultimate and OMG the display is so High Quality the colors and scene pop off like 3D it's so good I did not expect this quality from Lenovo ❤
So for me this device isn't a Steam Deck killer but instead it's a LAPTOP killer for me. Gonna bring this instead of a laptop. Now i just need a decent portable keyboard.
Yeah I really hope I find some kind of keyboard + trackpad cover for it, that's been the goal before even pre-ordering but so far it's been a challenge to find. Might have to be custom.
@@emiliosanchez4610I actually bought one of those Xbox controller keyboards for use with my Steam Deck! My only gripe is I can't find one that's bluetooth so I need to use a usb dongle with it, they are so ridiculous hahah
Just picked up a LLG 2 days ago. So far it's been great just constant charging. The battery life is the only con for me. I still have my Deck, I may just sell it or keep for emulation only. Nice video!
Solid video, Rich! Though, the only thing I'll ding you for is right at 7:19 with the Tomtoc bag. I saw those grip contours of the handheld and the clearly firm inlet for the bag and figured "okay, that looks pretty straightforward" and then you threw me a curveball - you put the Legion GO in the bag in the wrong orientation! I would like to get an improved travel bag for my Deck to hold stuff like the charging cable, the dock, and an external battery so I'll probably scoop this over Black Friday weekend.
Watching this really makes me appreciate the simplicity of the Deck ngl. Also that skin you have on the Go looks really cool and I love that look, almost wish they had that as a mobile wallpaper lol.
my main gripe with that visioktek drive is that is gets WARM!!! enough to throttle, Im using the Kingspec XG7000 2TB 2242 with the thermal sticker that was around the stock 512gb drive and while it also gets warm, its not warm enough to cause any issues, I ran a hour long stress test on with crystalmark and it only got to 83c when the Visiontek 2tb got to 105c (and thermal throttled) in games the kingspec rarely gets above 65c on the SSD, As for the backplate, you made it look a lot harder that it really is, starting from the bottom notch at the kickstand, on the left side, just push a pick down a little and that whole side will pop right up, repeat on the right side then itll be up enough to just lif tup on the whole plate and itll pop right off.
Love the Legion Go! I was skeptical after looking at several negative reviews but I am glad I brought it. It is definitely a gaming PC killer - I have not booted it since I got my Legion Go.
what this device really miss is the sylus support! omg if only it is support that then I don't need an ipad no more, and plus I can even work some crazy stuf portably like 3D sculpting!
Bit annoying that these handhelds require manufactures to deliver the AMD drivers and not just get the latest like you would on a normal Windows PC. I did just get a new Lenovo laptop during black week and I am impressed how easy I can update the BIOS (like it sounds like you can on their handheld as well). Goodbye to the old days of adding it to a USB stick, lol.
Hey it appears your dbrands skin goes over the touchpad. Does this affect its response? Also, I ordered a kit from from but their customizer doesnt show the touchpad part included.
Returned it and got the SD oled, this thing is not finished and in that state it's not worth the money. But it has the best IPS Screen and with 144hz there is no need for Freesync. It´s also less noisy than the Ally (don't care much about db the frequency on the Ally is awful)
im getting rog ally for the same price as steam deck oled as a black friday sale ,which one would you recommend i play some fps here and there but idont think ill play fps on a handheld cause i got dedicated pc for that, love triple As i want something portable with a decent battery life . On paper ally seems awesome but the battery life in SD is so good.... I dont mind tinkering if it gets me the best experience cause im used to a windows machine.
You can put it in both ways. The important thing is to make sure the sticks are "free". The funny thing is, that on the product page on Amazon, their own product photos show both the Rog Ally and the Steam Deck placed exactly like he does in this video.
To sell it and pick a rog ally. lack of VRR is so so bad and noticeable, fan noise is unbearable while the rog ally is so quiet, and it gets pretty hot. Also, games look much much sharper and smooth on a smaller screen, because this hardware is no better, if not throttle worse then the rog ally making a lot of games perform worse then the ROG.
@@robgbaby you can't run most games on 1600 pixels neither or they look like a slideshow, it's the same hardware as the rog ally and it struggles running demanding games past 800p at 35 / 40 fps, the legion go is even more restrained in wattage even when plugged in, u can't go past 30 watts while the rog ally goes upto 45, meanwhile, throttling test shows the legion go does struggle to keep fps consistency at 25 watts with a single fan, playing 720P / 800P on a 1600 pixel screen adds bluryness, foggyness, and overall looks bad because the screen is way too big.
@@CaptainFirefly People like him make me not want to get a deck at all. You would think Valve is cutting the guy a check. People should play what they enjoy.

Yeah i sold my Ally and got the go. The screen on the deck and Ally is too small for me. I haven’t touched my ps5 since i got my go.
Would recommend checking out Nuphy keyboards, especially the 60-65% layouts
hahaha I turned on the power so many times trying to pry it open too! A bit scary.
Nice use of the vertical tablet mode.
Thanks for the shout-out !
Great channel you've got. No problem at all! And yeah that was very scary
Just ordered mine got the 1TB variant. Looking forward to getting it. It’ll be here Friday.

So are those just pinned out USB ports for the controllers on the sides? Can we interface with them you think?

Thank you for mentioning the 2T model at Micro Center.

Ive been running MW3 heavy and the sticks already have white dust and wear and tear on it smh. I hope they come out with replacement controllers

@laro4177 for the price it should not be this quick thats the whole point. Who wants to get replacements for a controller that's not a month old .....
