Mark 3: The Forgotten Supra
Вставка

- In my opinion, the Mark 3 supra is the coolest of the Supra family. The boxy styling, pop up headlines and old school analogue drivers feel makes it an icon to me. And I feel it is definitely overlooked by it's more popular, and more curvaceous sibling the MK4.
This is a film about my friends MK3, shot at 4:30am on a Friday morning. I tried to capture the rawness of the driving experience by keeping everything fast paced. Big thank you to Josh for braving the early start!

From minecraft redstone, to this masterpiece, amazing.
He still does minecraft
WHAT? YOU TOO?
Bloody hell I love your filmography! Even the audio in this one is just perfect, and the fact that you get to feature such amzing cars certainly doesn't hinder the experience.
First reply lol
Lucas Gawor no they’re different things
Lucas Gawor oh I said that because of the furry profile pic
Lean Mean Green Bean Machine you do realise you could get banned because of the language on mumbo a kid friendly channel.idk which one it is
I've always preferred the mark 3. It has the boxy shape I love about these older cars, and isn't just a blob. Yes, the mk4 is good. It isn't as good though.
What do you mean just a blob the mk4 is the most perfect car i can think off
kinda reminds me of the FC
Dominic Zuk Personally, I have to give the MkIV credit, its rear end got me into this era of JDM. Even so, that MkIII has to be one of the most badass pieces of machinery to come outta Japan
agree
Yes but the mk4 is part of a legendary JDM era
After watching this BEAUTIFUL film, I will never forget it again! 🚗
Good edit. Nice video about supra mark 3. Keep it up, really enjoyed the video.
Mumbo’s a car enthusiast!? Yes!
Never forgotten tbh it always pulls eyes on the road
**Wipes face** IS THAT A SUPRA?!
I see one every Day on the way to School
It’s SO COOL
One Day i’m gonna nok on his door
thordenthor88 once I saw an AE86 outside the high school my brother goes to
SPEED SPEED BOY
Was it red?
I see one at a dealer. For sale.
I see a mark IV on the way to school, it still looks brand new
You're right about the editing style. Theres something to be admired about capturing and distributing the feel of life through cinematography, lost in the masses of the world are these little gems. Gems so pure yet lost that the only way to see them is to admire. And the way you've done that brings warmth to the heart for those who truly care for the little gems.
absolutely fantastic. keep up the amazing work man
Amazing video. Thats just all i have to say.
Yep one of my favorites pop up headlight cars like AE86 trueno, mazda rx7, nissan 350z with pop up headlights (but its not popular :( )
Undertale Fan pop ups = instant cool
A 350z with pop ups? How would that even work?
Miatas and FDs are the coolest pop up cars imo. I also LOVE the brick style headlights on S13 Silvias and Sil80s etc
you mean a 300zx first gen?the 350z never had pop-ups
@@charliesmith874 sileighty is not a pop-up, the 200/240sx is. The sileighty has the front of an S13 and the back of a 240sx
Amazing as always!
Did not expect a Minecraft UA-cam to actually be a big car guy
Me neither
Have you seen Captain Sparkles? He's of the same ilk except he just buys a bunch of nice cars
Artisan of Adaptation that’s pretty badass I gotta check him out
@@Knightridr20066 oh wow
never thought mumbo liked the MK3!
It`s always amazing how to manage to match the yellow titles with the rest of the video. I never thought that would look good...
My Grandpa has a Toyota Silica Supra and I’m currently working on it, I’ve cleaned all the years of pollen off and cleaned the inside, currently me and my dad are working on the engine. We’ve hit a slight snag, something very important is broken so we will have to get it toed to a shop for that, but the rest of it is me and my dads project. Soon it will hopefully be fully operational and we’ll let grandpa go drive around and relive some old memories, and I f course me and my dad are gonna have a lot of fun with it as well ! Love the Supra, I mean I really like The 2010 Camero, but the Supra is an amazing car!
And if you were wondering it’s Black
Great, Simple, Peaceful, Wonderful, Lovely.
My favourite thing about this is how it's only 98 seconds long, because there are no "decent" shots or anything unnecessary, only the best of the best. I love it.
Man. every time you uploud a car video, it feels like a modern commercial...
that's good cause that means it's quality and like something big companies make
Ive owned a few MK3 supras, and i love the look and just how comfortable they are, highly underrated and under appreciated. Really a great car.
You should do a documentary about an sport or an old type of Marshall arts
*martial arts
That has not been forgotten inside my head. It is still my favorite car.
Great video
as always.
I love the sound the turbo makes when releasing the pressure
Nice and short
PETER ZARI hahaha epic joke
The birds, the light, the music, the photography, and of corse the car everything is stoning
You should totally collaborate with Chris Olson!
#cubingsquad
I love these, Mumbo. They get better and better every video. The mark 3 has a truly special place in my heart. When I met my husband, he rode up to me in a white mark 3. We had so many adventures and we were sad when we had to sell it. I'm able to relive a lot of my youth in these videos. Thank you for that!
Hi mumbo love your vid keep it up
I come back to watch this video every year or so, just really love it and love this generation of supra
Great car. But what are those rims..? Come on
Oskar Persson They look stock, just plastidipped.
Stock rims
They do ruin the car r/(Sheety)carmods
This shouldn’t be mumbo’s vlogs anymore. It should be mumbo’s documentaries. I love it. Love the car vids. Keep it up! (Please)
This is one of the first comment but I haven’t watched the video yet. So I do not know what to write. But have a good day I guess
You have a good day
Better than “FIRST.” ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
FINALLY a piece for the MK3 Supra! This car did not deserve to be forgotten
Can we just appreciate how Mumbo goes out of his way to film these things, and do the things he loves, instead of just playing Minecraft, and doing just Hermitcraft and Redstone videos. That's just a wonderful thing to think that people will go out of their way and contact someone to do something so small, yet so tedious, in some circumstances. It's just amazing.
I have a MK3 1989 actually lol, put a 1JZ in it from a front cut i got from japan, even the front cut was the same year, but the original 7M-GE i had was at 240,000 miles lol so it wasnt going to last a turbo mod, not with a cloth headgasket. The car has been in the family for about 20 years i think. When i couldnt give it the love it deserved and finish the wiring harness for the engine i gave it to my brother who i had bought it from a decade ago. Anyways, thought i would share, i love MK3 supras and like your Hermitcraft videos, thanks!
that car looks so f*****g gorgeous omg, the boxyness of it, so beautiful.
This would be the perfect spy car, for the next James Bond.
Simple and plain, yet it still captures the right feel. And plus, no-one would guess it was 007 driving, as it isn’t an Aston Martin.
This made me relise how COOL the mk3 supra is, I love it
You should totally record more of these style videos, showcasing beautiful cars with beautiful cinematic B-Roll footage. I feel like automotive design is always under appreciated
I’ve had 3 a-80 Supras and they are great cars and they still live up to the Supra badge
My dad owned one back in the days, it gives me good feelings everytime i see a mk3.
No no no. The Mark 2 is the forgotten Supra. Beautiful car btw. The mk2 and mk3 are my most favourite Japanese cars ever made. Glad to see an almost stock mk3. More videos on this car please!
love how this video is actually a 21:9 aspect ratio, and not just black bars plastered on a regular video. watching this on an ultrawide was great :)
Love this film Oli! The mark 3 reminds me a lot of the 1985 MR2; my dad has one in immaculate condition and I'm glad to see that this mark 3 looks flawless as well.
Incredible cinematography! The car reminds me of the Porsche 944 of the same era :)
Yea these cars looks soooo similar.
The rx-7 fc is also looking like the mk3 supra.
I haven't been here since January of last year (2017) and oh my goodness the ways in which your filming has changed. I was a die hard fan of yours in season three of hermitcraft through season five and then I just kind of fell out of it because in September of last year i got hooked onto fortnite and started streaming on my twitch and never really came back to minecraft. Well one day me and my friends decided to play some minecraft and I was always the redstone guy no matter what they said, so I wanted to build a 5x5 door and then I remembered you were the guy to go to. Thank you Mumbo for always being there when I was down and making videos constantly so people didn't think you were dead 😆
Mumbo. No words. You have so many talents and combined makes it awesome. The cinemography was very nice. The music fit the style very well. Your minimovies even beat some full films. Again, no words. 👍👍👍
The quality of this video is astounding
I've been for a fan since you started Hermitcraft season 2. But now that I'm 20 almost 21, I sort of grew out of minecraft. But as I've fallen back into it and watched these vlogs and videos you make on this channel. I sort of feel...older? I don't know. The way you've grown as a film maker, and as a UA-cam content creator shows me how long I've been stuck in the same place. I want to do more with my own art and do more overall in life. These calm, 2 minute videos are oddly inspiring. I love what you're doing, I love the pace of the videos, I love the calm aesthetic. Keep it up, seriously inspiring. Thanks for the years of amazing content Mumbo.
As a '90 Mark 3 owner I highly approve of this video. It's totally got me wanting to put some more work into it now.
I always love your films, but one thing that really stands out to me here is the sound design. Love the way the car sounds when it zooms by the camera. Great stuff as always👍🏻
Mumbo I never really knew you where like a car guy but this just shows it.. You're love for old JDM, Euro, and maybe American cars. You make a little documentary about these cars, aswell as you video and kinda like showcase... Amazing love this..
I have had 2 MK3s. One non turbo auto and one with the 7M-GTE, 5 speed stick shift and targa top. Really wish I would have kept one of them! Great, fun cars!!
A few months ago I saw real JDM mark3 in my neighborhood. You know how I was happy, I even took a pic. And I still to this day think about it from time to time, How little a man needs in his life for a smile.
YEEEESSSS!!! *_THAT's_* what I was talking about on the Porsche video! You changed up the shots enough to keep it interesting all the way through. And I loved the anticipation in the music. Great job!
I'm not into cars, but I love these videos anyway. They show and literally SHOUT me these are professional productions.
Back in 1999 I was fortunate to have an red 89 turbo myself. 56k miles. Great car. Best I owned.
I can honestly say that is my favourite car you've featured so far on this channel. Its raised front lights, its power, its cruise, its sound.... really is an awesome car, thanks for letting us indulge its awesomeness with you MJ!!
Not forgotten for me, I have one identical to yours lurking in the shed, makes me happy just to pop the headlights and gaze upon it's beauty every other day, nice vid....peace.
I love the mk3 personally, the body shape and styling just looks perfect
In my opinion it isn't forgotten. 1JZ was made because of it.
Also I am in love with that blow off valve.
Incredible shots mumbo! Hard work is payin off!
Oh my goodness, I love those pop up head lights. I've been waiting for this video, since the first tweet. love it!
I would love to see a full documentary on this car narration done in your voice.
It's time to step it up a notch Oli. You have the skills and the gift of voice.
These films are just improving each time, i absolutely love watching these!
Was so surprised when I saw a link to this video from mumbojumbo. I love my mk3 so glad to see a UA-camr I watch do a video on the car I love
i had two of these. An 86.5 and an 89. Loved them both and still wish i had them.
Thank you mumbo. People tend to forget about the mk3, but it's an awesome car. Thank you for reminding us how beautiful the car is :)
Mumbo my guy , 1 minute and 38 seconds of goosebumps. This is insane.
Just those turbo sounds alone would be worth a like on this one. Mesmerising.
This hits different cuz I own a red mk3 too and I love it so much. Its a sleeper on a whole other level.
Your films are so gentle and beautiful. I love them!
Absolutely perfect. I love how well the music fits with the video. Excellent cinematography
As a genuine fan of the mark three I'm so happy to see that it has gained your attention to make a great film with it.
Never in my many years of watching your Mumbo Jumbo channel did I ever know you were into cars! Thats just amazing! :D
Love your films
The "Boxy" stylings of the 80's and early 90's were the best IMO. Chassis started to change in the 90s, with a sleeker more "aerodynamic" look, but there was something about that boxy look. Love this thing.
but it *was* more aerodynamic lmao
Mumbo... I love how you make videos about forgotten or very old cars, because i love them all... Keep the work up :D
That piano... I wanna hug this car and live with it for 5 years
I'm here from the very beginning, and it's amazing how much you have improve. Awesome like always
We need more Mumbos in the world bringing light to legendary but kind of forgotten cars
Even less people know about the mark 1 and 2, back when it was a Celica Supra.
Great video by the way! The only problem was that it ended!
Your movies get better the more I watch them. keep on going with this filming channel!
This is like one and half minutes of a movie. Like daaang.
Minecrafter, Car Enthusiast, and Filmmaker.
An excellent combination.
Such amazing shots mumbo, everything looks crisp and clear and I can tell you put a lot of effort into it as well.. The ambience is great as well :D It looks to me as if everything is a tiiny bit desaturated and I love it lol
We need more landscape footages or even films on this channel. But great job, still amazed how those shots while driving car are so smooth...
Your videos get better each time, and you were able to make 1:37 of awesomeness. The worst part of the video was when I saw that it wasn't 2 minutes long. But then I watched it and it was all ok. Keep it up!
Honestly dude, you seem like a genuinely nice person and it makes me really happy to see that you're able to pursue things you enjoy.
Yet another amazing video by Mumbo Jumbo. Love the angles in this one. Amazing work :)
the mark 3 supra reminds me of an AW11, but Toyota pulls the front out to match the engine, and the back was shrunk. NGL, if I had never seen this video, I would not know. Thank you Mumbo!
Thank you for shining a light on possibly the coolest car on earth thinking of getting one as my first car next year wish me luck!
Seeing this video really makes me excited to get more done on my Mark 3 Supra this summer. Thanks :D
Should make a full length movie at this point! amazing work :)
as someone with a mk3 i can say this, this is the forgotten sibling, i love the car, this is the commercial it should of got, if only more games had this car in it
This is amazing cinematography! Amazing shots! I want a Mk 3 now!
Looks similar a delorean
Mumbo, you are absolutely amazing at making these documentaries, and I absolutely love them!
