- Please watch in the highest quality possible!
David Hayward is a model car maker, who over the past year has built a 1937 Austin 7 from rolling chassis through to fully functioning road legal car. Made entirely from wood and canvas, this pre-war classic is surprisingly fast! The details and craftsmanship involved are incredible to see.
Hope you enjoy the film! Was a lot of fun to shoot, and I just want to extend my Thank You's to David and Vicky for braving the cold with me for the two days worth of filming!

Thank you all for the positive comments! This project was a really fun one to make, and it taught me a lot about the process of making a video like this. Made a few mistakes, learned from them, and hopefully I can make better videos because of it! :D
Mumbo Vlogs I love how good your short films look, so professional, keep up the good work👍👍
The video is perfect!
And I love that car!
That video is awesome! I want to see more of these!! I also watched in 4K btw. Keep it up.

Meh SoEvil lol awesome

Amazing, very very professional 😍
I've been recently watching all of the videos from your Vlog channel and it amazes me how dramatically your film-making skills have improved, and this one in particular was outstanding. Keep up the great work, really looking forward to the next one.
Strictoaster? I did not expect to see you here
I'm everywhere!
Your filming content is unbelievable, you are a really arty awesome youtuber who devotes time and effort into making awesome content :D
It is so emotional and inrteresting. That is really good job man, you made great job on this one
Loved the mini documentary. Combining your love for filmmaking and cars was definitely a good choice. Would love to see more stuff like this
Really nice job mumbo! I wish to be a skilled filmaker like you one day!
Wow. Thanks to David for sharing!
Firstly, the photography is just... Gorgeous. Everything looks good to me. The colour, the atmosphere, the things you chose to focus on...
Then, the emotion. It's doubly transpiring. Even though Mr Hayward is really calm and well spoken, you can sense his passion for everything he's explaining, and the happy nostalgia for all his past projects. But we can also sense your passion for the subject as well. I don't really know why, I couldn't point to something specific... It's just obvious, with the work and que quality imputed here that you loved doing every second of it, be it the form or the substance.
I've discovered your filming channel just a few episodes in your Minecraft videos as you often mention it, and I really don't regret it. You make wonderful short film. The quality is always astonishing to me, even more considering you're a somewhat advanced amateur or semi-pro with only his own equipment. You seems to get better everytime, and that's saying something considering the quality of everything so far.
Please keep on doing your wonderful work ! It's a big pleasure everytime
Thank you so much for your kind words. It really means a lot, comments like these really help to motivate me. Again, thank you :)
honestly, the dashboard looks like a fighter plane from world war 2. I love it.
Crippling Depression It really does
Consider quitting minecraft and move to hollywood, we need a spoon-shaped oscar
Ikr but I don't agree with whole quitting Minecraft thing
@@ravendangernavy3575 your
right!
:(
I am only here for the visuals, cinematography, colour grading, direction, and editing!! Loving it! 😍
Hahaha! Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed :)
Mumbo Vlogs you could have done a better job in the pacing of the video, it kinda got boring after the 69%, just some constructive criticism! 🤗
Loved this.
I've always been fascinated by model cars and old classics and this made me even more interested! Thanks again.
Wow, what a fascinating man, and what a high quality mini-documentary! I can't wait to see what else you make Mumbo. I remember in a past episode you talked about future documentaries you're planning...something in the Philippines? Keep up the great work (both you and the car maker)!
Amazing Amazing Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!
Mumbo Vlogs Thanks Mumbo! You Are Awesome
Incredible stuff you're doing on this channel Mumbo! I'm honestly astounded at the amount you've grown with these cinematic videos of yours and I genuinly would love to see more little documentaries like this one on your channel!
I'm blown away! It would be amazing if you decided to make a long film one day. I'd like to see it in the cinemas! You have a bright future! :D
This was just so beautiful, for a moment i forgot mumbo made this and i thought that it was a documentary channel, this was just so amazing it made me feel happy, keep it up mumbo.
Wow, this is amazing!
That car looks stunning! I've always had a soft spot for older cars, and to see one that someone built themself is just incredible.
Thank you both so much! :D
you again >.>
Can never miss an upload from u and your two channels mumbo, this one is so good with its shots and quality that can stand up to some major TV shows, and the other one which is slightly more simple yet effective, it has a certain charm and always makes you happy when u hear the genuine joy after a big project is finished! However both have one thing in common, they relax the viewer and I'm sure that everyone can agree with this. I would just like to thank you for all the effort you put into your videos for your fans enjoyment! And I am certainly looking forward to watching this amazing work of art. :D
Thank you, that means a lot :)
Wow, Brilliant! So glad I found this inspirational movie - such talent and skill/attention to detail. I am beginning my pre-war Model A Banger hot rod and this is a great vid to kick things off! Keep Building!!
Awesome!
As a car guy this is amazing, such a humble and just amazing person, thank you mumbo for this film.
I love that car, it makes me think of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! I also love the Haynes Motor Museum, my grandparents live down there!
Honesty had me in tears
One of the most high quality videos I've seen on youtube in a long time. Keep up the great work Mumbo
I have an addiction to the old sports cars from the 1920/30s so this was pretty cool
Now this is what I call professional
Cheers :)
O my gosh you replied hi Mumbo
Mumbo, this should be on a TV network. I’ve been waiting for this because I knew it would be amazing and it is. It is very well edited and the video is just amazing.
absoluelty beautiful video! Astonishing quality and filming!!! And what a guy and car fantastic!
I had the video full screened, so I completely forgot I was still on UA-cam. Thought this was an actual documentary like something off of Netflix! This is amazing Mumbo.
Can tell that he loves what he does and to find someone like that and compose a beautiful video, is just something else. Keep up the hard work, it is paying off.
This was amazing filmed and interesting. Well done Oli on this it turned out amazing. And what David made was incredible.
Great video.
Great Work. Enjoying the newer focus on storytelling. Beautiful as always cinematography.
I probably watch one or two docs a week and have been meaning to check this one out, glad I did. I love the way you filmed it, made it personal.
Oli, you are truly amazing! This video is brilliant and I don't know why more people don't watch it. I love showing you're videos off to my friends, and, like everyone else has said, your filming content and ability to create such a wonderful video is stunning. Keep up the good work!
I'm sure it's been said, but what a pearler of a film, thanks mate, you so need to make that a extended film, his story needs to be explored far more. Your really becoming more expressive with your films mate, great work! There is a bright future for people like you that put that kind of effort into their films, can't wait to see the next one
Thank you, comments like these mean a lot to me :)
What anexo amazing cinematic mumbo!
Simple but at the same time filled with detail and care!

I’ve always tuned out your second Chanel plugs until I saw a clip of your cat which caught my eye. I assumed it was just comidic shorts of things you find in your daily life, wow was I wrong. You are an amazing filmmaker! This was so professional. It’s absolutely amazing.
That’s an awesome vehicle. And a great story. Loved it.
So you’re making mini documentaries now!?
Gorgeous masterpiece.
Great production work on this, its quite amazing. Looks incredibly professional. Hope you get more opportunities like this!
Who the hell disliked
Nathan Dion Lariviere someone misclicked. They intended to like the video
Obviously
I do enjoy your editing and filming explanation films, like on color grading and the like, but videos like these where you do mini films in a sort of interview fashion have become my favorite! They are like bite sized documentaries, and really well produced.
I'm glad you're enjoying them! Thank you so much :)
Really tastefully done! You even got his gear change clip and sound on the actual gear change in between the full view of him driving, clever :)
Lovely old model Baby Austin race car is very enjoyable to ride. And then your passion for building model cars. I'm found of you great passion.
First
Blakikin nope
Mumbo you inspire me to work hard. When ever you do something you do it perfectly. Your hermitcraft episodes inspire me to just stick to projects, and your films inspire me to do stuff right, and not just to get it over with. You are my favorite youtuber😁
I watched in 2160p and my god that was beautiful. Mumbo strikes again with the great content!
Mumbo this is amazing! Very much in the style of Petrolicious. I can't wait to see more! I wish more people had cinematic documentaries of cars and the people who hold them close to your heart.
Thank you :)
Well done mumbo. That touched me right in the feels. Great production, lovely music notes, and really well filmed, edited and colour graded. I’m very impressed with your progress of late. Keep it up!

OH MY GOSH!!!! YOU REACTED TO MY COMMENT!!!! I AM SOOOOO HAPPY!!!!
I don't know why, but i found the sound of this motor pretty reassuring.
Very well done as usual Oli. One year you should come to the Art Deco weekend in Napier, New Zealand.
Really, just a great video. One of the best cinematic videos I have seen. Keep up the great work!!😉
It's so simple yet so beautiful how David's passion is so explicitly seen in that smile when he talks about it :')
This is the first video by this side of you I watched. I randomly checked it out because it popped up on my home page. I don't watch that many car videos so for it to pop up is strange and if it was made by anyone else, I doubt that I would've watched it. And wow it blew me away. I think it might be better than some movies in filming and it was 5 minutes long.
Thank you so much :)
That was beautiful and interesting, was an unexpected find off one of your minecraft videos honestly, great job!
I feel like watching a movie right now , great editing , love it !
You could be the best film director ever and there is a high chance for you to direct a big film! Well done and keep the work up😛
Wow Oli. Just wow. Amazing cinematography and editing and a great story. You have got so great at what you do I hope you consider tv filming as a possible side job! Stunning work. Well done.
I love both the guy who made the car, the car itself, the guy who made the video and the video itself. Very good job!
I have one question to ask though. I have only recently started watching your vloging channel so I have yet to see the other videos but have you experimented with rolling credits? Like, have them scroll down the screen?
Thank you so much. No I haven't used rolling credits before as I have never felt the need too :)
These vlogs are so professional. I love them Oli keep up the good work
Great video mumbo!!!!
Love the color. Excellent film.
OMG THIS LOOKS SO PROFESSIONAL!! nice job oli!
The whole time i felt there should be some companies logo plastered in the corner. It felt so professional it crazy. Never stop filming mumbo.

I'm so glad I was still subscribed to the second channel, this is great!
Good shots, but what I really like about this is the colors. Nice vintage vibe, hard to describe
Recently got a new 4k TV, and made this video even nicer than it already is !

You're not only creative in minecraft. But in the whole WORLD!!!
