Man! Was just asking if anyone had ever transcribed the Paul Desmond sax part of this jazz classic to be played on guitar.. and BOOM! here it is! Soooooo sweet!
Big Brother's always listening ;) Sometimes when I'm too lazy for searching I just speak aloud about the topic I'm interested in and bam my yt feed just loves me.
I could sense the thought you've put in behind every note you picked....you followed that baseline so effing well..not just randomly picking any notes...wow.. performance par excellence...
@@GustavoSampaioLP Yeah it was - They came every year so I had always said - I will go next year. and then I realised that they are all like me over 70, so in a singe Festival year I saw the DB5 and Oscar Peterson Trio live - and then shortly afterwards they all died or stopped touring!!
@@Glasairman I'd go very far to have the chance to see Oscar Peterson live! I have already gone to a couple of concerts after almost not going due to the fear of one day not having the chance to go and regretting the past :) I'm glad you got to go!
Thanks a lot for this! No musical background, but weirdly I wanna learn playing jazz for some reason. This video helped me with the basics of this song and I can play it with my own lame improv.
How I wish I could jam with you on this wonderful piece. I've been practicing it for two years now (drums) and slowly but surely I'm finally feeling really comfortable with it.
@@GustavoSampaioLP Maybe some day, at the time I'm on my way to learn the organ because I want to become a church-musician. And on the guitar I'm more into Rock and Metal right now, which means that I don't have the time to do Jazz right now, but maybe in a few years or something.
Thank you so much! As the years pass I realize how great of a guitar it is, holding up to many others that are much more expensive. I was really lucky to grab it when I was younger! Check my more recent videos if you've got the time, they're much better than this one :)

You sound great! l love the fact you play a hagstrom, they are excellent jazz instruments' but the purest give them a hard time because of the fretboard. i use a Hagstrom Jimmy HJ500 jazz box, sounds and plays wonderful. but i gotta say you have a great full sound.. keep on keeping on.

@@GustavoSampaioLP you really deserve much more than kind words. I will appreciate if you can recommend some good jazz, guitar or whatever, some good stuff that swings like take five...

To Mr Gustavo : lot of thanks. I know some very good albums of Grant Green.
