Hi Nikol. I just want to say that I love your videos and that you are such a wonderful encourager to women who are going gray. My hair started to turn gray when I was 19! For many years people just thought I was getting my hair “frosted”. 😂That’s what we used to call it but now I guess it would be called highlights. I am now 72 and my hair is basically just white and I want to tell the ladies that I get more compliments now than I ever have before! People just randomly tell me how beautiful my hair is and how beautiful I am! It never ceases to surprise me when someone says that to me but I just want to encourage all of your viewers to at least try letting their hair be natural because it might just turn out to be wonderful! This was a terrible, yet typical, week during our lockdown. My sister died with COVID19 and I've been so wrapped up in sadness I have forgotten about "me". Tomorrow is another day, on goes some color to my face as the color in my hair gets more gray by the day. Thank you for these videos, I'm aware of the time, preparation and desire to pull it off.
Nikole, love this channel. I find it so very helpful. Due to the COVID lockdown I was more or less pushed into “going Gray.” Now at 69 I’m going gray for the first time and I’m really excited about it. I find that my silver hair is actually more dramatic, healthier, stronger and more beautiful than my auburn hair. What I would like help picking out a different hairspray. I used to use super hold. 😬 But now that my hair is longer and bouncier (I have a natural curl/wave) I think I’d like a softer hold. Do you have a recommendation?

Ann here. I am 64 and have a beautiful head of grey hair. I love it, my hubby and friends all love it. My issue is that I am still having hot flashes 14 years after menopause. UGH. It's awful. My eye shadow, face and lipstick seem to melt off of me. Not sure what I can do as it appears that my hot flashes aren't going away anytime soon. Any tips??? One thing that I have been doing (before the pandemic) was to get low lights. That way the gray wasn't as jarring. Doing less and less lowlights until - tada - you are embracing your gray. In my opinion your natural color is just so much more attractive. It just does not look natural for a 50 year old person to have brown hair and 50 year old skin. When I realized that - I knew it was going to be ok.
The sad thing about masks is lipstick has always made my face come alive. When I’m forced to wear a mask, I feel erased. I don’t even know why I bother with foundation, let alone lipstick when I know I’ll be wearing a mask. So the days I won’t be wearing 1, I make the most of makeup and put on jewelry and just do the whole thing so I feel good even if it’s just for that day.
