Mate, you were playing some high level tennis in your match and you were both hitting a high quality, aggressive ball and your serve was bigger as well!
I just feel with your game it's,just confidence and belief. Be aggressive, play to big targets and look to dominate as many points as you can and the results will come.
Fascinating call with Sean as well. And as a decent club player, I can resonate with everything you said.
I'm an aggressive player but sometimes I doubt myself and play too passively and it costs me.
I just try to dominate on my serve now i.e. serve + 1 and in the rallies, I'm looking for depth, taking the ball early and playing to big targets so to minimize errors.
Tennis is a process so just have to choose how,you want to play and commit to it even though you might lose a few matches to begin with.
Great collab with Sean as well. Loved it👍👊

Great vid, great talking points. I think y'all got it figured out at the end there. Every match and every opponent is going to be different. You can either stick to your play style and beat some opponents while losing to others or you can try to have more variety and make changes during the match and try to beat more players, however you won't be as solid in a singluar play style. Pros and cons to both.

I love your content and the outlook that you show on tennis that is not seen much at all.
Maybe try doing rituals between points? I don't know if you do it or not, since we don't see that part of your matches.
Positive body language and thinking might take you to the next level in my opinion aswell.
Keep it up and good luck!

Could be a good idea if you both play double matches on the tour.

It's hard when you are not winning, but if you come at it differently I feel you will see big performance improvement's. The answer is to start winning more often, and this is something you can start to do right now. It really starts with you setting out winning goals that are so easy and simple you can achieve them. This could be anything like walking faster than a stranger on the street to a point you pick, or getting to the training courts before someone, or it could be returning a serve. The point is our brain does not care one dam what form the win comes in as long as it has been flagged as a competition. of course you don't go around telling people your winning goals this is your thing. In psychology we have understood for a long time now that the brain loves winning and the more you win the more likely you will win in the future. But nowhere does it say all these wins have to be big wins. Small wins build to the big win but more importantly this technique which we call 'wins for success' builds high levels of resilience to failure and that is the big factor tennis players need in their locker of skills. The problem with losing is we know from research is that the more you lose the more likely you are to lose in an upcoming match. Furthermore, a players will have lower levels of deep confidence in their ability to win the match especially if they are ahead. They start to think why too much and they will start making mistakes on simple shots. They then switch to trying to hard to win and things fall apart. It looks like you are trying to use a lot of things and you might even be talking with a performance psychologist, but they here is to get you back winning that's all that matters because if you are not winning in some form or another it's becomes very hard to win many matches in a sport like tennis.

Tough match, good playing against a good player. Loved your conversion with Sean, keep it up!
As you guys discussed, just curious, when you trying to play aggressive do you feel like you are hitting it harder and ripping it harder, or stepping in more and holding the baseline to take time away, but with the same kind of shot pace?
Was just curious because holding the baseline and having a more aggressive court position might help you gain confidence with the more aggressive mindset, but wouldn’t feel like you are swinging out of your shoes and increasing your overall shot pace :)
Just a thought of mine, love watching your journey! Keep it up!!

I think it's more beneficially to attack with court positioning - I think by doing this you will naturally hit the ball a bit bigger. If you just try and hit bigger in general you will most likely make errors which is probably what happened for me here a bit. Thanks for the comment! :)

Neither you or that Sean guy are ever going to make it as ATP level singles tennis pro players in terms of career. You're both good amateur players at the upper county level but both of you are billion miles away from self sufficient ATP singles level.
