Building A Snoopy Day Date For A Dog Lover

- The Rolex Day-Date is a flagship model in the Rolex lineup, celebrated for its elegant design and functionality. It has graced the wrists of presidents, actors, musicians, athletes, and more. Given its popularity, you might assume that there are plenty of parts available to customize or build a watch in its style, but that isn’t the case. Although the NH36 movement offers capabilities similar to the Rolex Caliber 3255, its layout does not naturally align with the Rolex’s iconic display style. However, I discovered a set of day and date wheels that, when paired with a custom dial, could mimic the Rolex configuration. This sparked an idea for a unique build, and I knew just the person for it-my good friend, Gisel.
Gisel and I spent some time planning this project, and slowly, everything started to come together. I had always wanted to use this NH36 Day-Date conversion dial but had never found the right opportunity; the Snoopy logo on it was often a deterrent for both myself and potential clients. Fortunately, Gisel loves Snoopy and was excited about the idea of featuring him on the dial. Next, we needed to choose the dial color. The color options for this type of dial are quite limited, but luckily, Gisel's favorite color is green-a detail I discuss further in the video. The biggest surprise came when she chose a diamond bezel over more understated options, but in hindsight, they say diamonds are a girl’s best friend.
This build introduced several other firsts to the channel: the NH36 movement, a 36mm Day-Date style case, and a three-link presidential style bracelet. All these components came together to create a truly impressive watch. It was a refreshing challenge to step outside the box and build something entirely new, and I’m genuinely pleased with the final result.

The video you made where you tried swapping the balance out of the NH38 into the other movement and took the lume from the hands, nobody is doing stuff like this.
