@@vickyssilverjewelleryirela6498 I bought a silver ring 7 years ago and I couldn't wear it for 4 years cuz it turned black....you have no idea how happy I was when it worked 💚 I haven't taken it off for 2 days
Thank you 😊
You are very welcome!
Is aluminium foil is important
It amazing ❤
Thanks Maou
It works safely on silver and cubic zirconia. However never use it on semi precious stones.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Good to know.
which thing you use
Can we clean sterling silver with zircon stones in the same manner as well?
I haven't tried it on zircon, but as Zircon is insoluble, I would say that it should work fine. Please let me know how it works out for you.
@@vickyssilverjewelleryirela6498 ok sure will try today
Is this safe with stones like emeralds and turquoise?
I know that this method works very well for plain silver jewellery but I have heard of people using it with precious stones and not having any problems.
@@vickyssilverjewelleryirela6498 thank you 🙏
Will this work on a solid silver bangle with rose gold inserts
can you use this on silver jewelry which contains pearls?
Hi Danny, this method has worked for me with pearl silver jewellery, but if the piece of jewellery is precious to you I recommend using a silver polishing cloth instead.
I have a large amber stone pendant and around it is silver. The silver is tarnished. Is it safe to do this DIY on my pendant?
This method works very well for plain silver jewellery but I have heard of people using it with precious stones and Amber and not having any problems.
@@vickyssilverjewelleryirela6498 Thank you for responding. 😊
Will this hurt gold? I have a Silver coin wrap in a 14k Gold bezel.
No Matt, in my experience this method doesn't affect solid gold.

Why do we need aluminium foil. Bicarbonate is understandable. This warks like magic. I am surprised..i tried with lemon and bicarbonate but cold water mix did not work at all. Even vinegar didn't 😅work
I'm so glad it worked for you. Yes, it's like magic, and the foil and bicarb are required but why, best ask a scientist!😉
@@vickyssilverjewelleryirela6498 i am a scientist but dont know if aluminium can substitute the sodium 😳 thank u so much.😍
Just be careful because it strips the patina or grey accentuation away on jewelery. I used this on a ring and silver medal that had dark grey background to them. It stripped all that away totally and it's ruined the design of the ring. I don't know if those parts will blacken over time again?
I think you are referring to oxidised silver. Oxidized silver is where the outer surface has been purposely darkened via a chemical process. This essentially speeds up the natural tarnishing process, which consists of a layer of silver sulfide on the exterior of the metal. The method I show in the video removes this tarnish.
Haha i m also a jweller😁
stop being brish` mate
Bicarbonate soda? Aluminium foil? Ha. Proper English is something else.
I am sorry but I didn't work for me 🥲
So sorry to hear that anika
