Arnold loved golf and he loved people. He was a hero to millions, us included, a genuine and real human being. He was known as the 'King' and with good reason. RIP Mr. Palmer.

The legacy that this guy has left behind is enormous. A true giant of life. Not just of golf. Of life.

I was playing VR golf with a stranger last week and we got to talking and he said he was a chef and had a kiosk at the Memorial tourney. We got to talking more and he mentioned Arnold and a friend of his (designer) sat down to eat and he came out to serve them. He told Arnold he was a fan but mostly kept it about the meal. He said when they finished Arnold gave him a hand written letter on a piece of paper that was lined with blades of grass from St. Andrews. It's crazy how many stories there are out there about how kind he was to everyone.

If your of a certain age, you know how important Arnie was to golf in the 60's. He was a rock star.

Beloved, respected, accomplished in his chosen field and business. A game changer. For my money, the best example I can point to of a successful American man.
