      To do that with the Loopback Mixer, you would simply need to pull up the fader for the Main Outputs so that any audio you are playing out of the EVO 4 is then also being sent to your DAW to record.

      It's normal for the macOS sound settings to say this since the loopback channels don't have volume control like the main outputs do. Once you have selected the Loopback channels, audio will then appear in the loop-back mixer and will no longer play out of the interface.

      The Loopback outputs will not play out of the EVO 4, they will only be sent to the Loop-back mixer to be used in a loop-back mix. If you need to play this audio back, you'd want to use the Main Output, or have some way of monitoring your loop-back mix, such as input monitoring in your DAW.

      If you are on Windows, you can listen back to the Loop-back channel by going to the Sound settings in the control panel and double-clicking on the Loop-back input channels. Go to the 'Listen' tab and tick the "listen to this device" box. You can then then play back ht audio on the loopback channel via the EVO whilst keeping it sperate from your system sounds

      On macOS, you would need to change the output channels using the "Configure Speakers" button in the Audio MIDI setup app.
      This should then send audio to the loopback channels in the loopback mixer.
      Unfortunately, some apps will not give you the option to change the input channel so you will not be able to use the loopback input channels with these on macOS.

      Yes, this would be possible with EVO 4's Loop-back channels.

    I just got an EVO 8 and using a Mac. I have 2 issues:
    1 - Loopback mixer doesn't show at all, already in latest driver as I just got it.
    2- I am trying to play and sing live using mainstage through Zoom. In Zoom I can only pick microphone: Evo 8. I want my Zoom audio to come processed from mainstage, so I have tried setting my loopback source to "master mix" "artist mix" "loopback" and changed my outs accordingly in mainstage.

    I'm on Win 10 and using Ableton Live 11 Lite, Audient Evo 4, and a piano VST and I can't get the loopback to work so that I can record what I play into OBS to record a video. I've tried to set samples rates the same, tried to set the inputs/outputs, and I tried to set ableton's master output to 3/4 and I get a signal in the loopback mixer, but then I can't hear what I'm playing in real-time. • @weareevoaudio

      This would normally be a setting or change you would need to make in your recording software. If you can let us know what recording software you use, we can walk you through changing this behaviour.
      If you play out audio to the Loop-back 1+2 channel, this will not play through the speaker/headphone outputs it will only be sent to the loop-back mixer in order to create a loop-back mix.

    • @Neurotoxus

      @@weareevoaudio Thanks, but I actually figured out why. Is there any reason we can't change our microphones to mono to have audio come out of both sides WITHOUT the use of a DAW? It'd be nice and easier to setup for people unaware of how to do this.

      We just feed the Mic channels to the software you are using so it is down to the software to interpret if this is 2 mono channels or a stereo signal. This doesn't have to be a DAW, it can just be normal audio software.
      Its not possible to play audio out of the Loop-back channels, if you do want audio playback then you'd just need to use the Main Outputs 1+2 instead.

      The EVO 16 doesn't have a seperate Loopback mixer view like the EVO 4 does so apologies for any confusion.
      You can adjust what is used as your Loopback source in the 'Setup' Menu of the EVO 16 Mixer software. You can either select one of the Output channels (Outputs 1+2, 3+4...etc) or you can select from one of the four CUE mixes if you'd prefer to mix various channels together.
      If you're using a CUE mix, you'd just need to select one of the 4 CUEs from the mixer screen, then any changes you make to the mixer will adjust the CUE mix rather than your Main Monitor Mix.

    Hello! I have a question about the evo loopback.
    I want to send my DAW audio into zoom using loopback so I set my DAW output to the main output 1/2, so I turned up the main out 1/2 in the loopback mix and it worked, the issue is zoom's audio is also in the main output 1/2 (bec. I want to hear both zoom and DAW through my headphones), that means whenever I turn on my mic and someone talks during the meeting, their audio would be sent back to them creating an "echo" of their own voices because of loopback.

    Where is the world has the Evo 4 Loop-Back Mixer software gone? I've updated drivers, and tried to find it everywhere on your website, but there is nothing indicating that it's even possible to download it. There are no options in the Evo software menus. The Loop back Audio device still shows in Windows Sound devices, and the Control panel, which honestly is redundant with the physical device, is the only thing present. If this has been removed, or if it's no longer supported, then it effectively kills any reason to suggest the Evo products anymore. Would love some clarification on this.

    Good Afternoon. Quick question, will the loopback work with iOS? I noticed in a different video that cubasis saw 4 inputs on the eve 4. I would assume that 3/4 would be the loopback so I am optimistic that loopback would work. Just wondering if you have tested it. Would it need to be enabled first using desktop software or is it on by default. Also what is loopback's default input setting? Thank you.

    • @weareevoaudio
      @weareevoaudio  3 роки тому +1

      Loop back isn't supported on iOS because theres no loop back controls allowing you to feed audio from the outputs back to the inputs.

      @@weareevoaudio Thanks. I did not know since I can do loopback with my iConnectAudio4+ but all the routing is done internally on the ICA4+ and software is only needed to make the connections. Once the connections are made via the software you don't need it anymore, unless you want to change the way it routes audio.

      Karma TV would Audient consider a software solution for this? Or would they only harp on saying evo4 users should keep compromising in this area alone where NO OTHER AI thrusts this narrative upon the user (to physically keep unplugging) during a mixing process. Can they please give at least a software toggle switch. Nevertheless, surely Evo is the winner product.

    • @weareevoaudio
      @weareevoaudio  4 роки тому

      The switching is done in hardware, not in software so it isn't possible for us to change this behaviour in software.

      @@weareevoaudio 'Old fashioned' Hardware contact breaking .... Audient calls 'smart-muting'? With due respect, may I please ask you to verify if your statement (about switching being purely hardware) is technically accurate. For example, monitor volume is currently at say 90%. When I plug in headphones, what would the volume be? 90% (that is..., is it the 'same monitor signal that is hardware routed to the headphones?). Since Headphones volume and monitor volume are controlled by the central control independently, 'Smart muting' is likely done only by software. In summary, what am I griping about? I appreciate the provision of soft muting. Absolutely agreed. But..... give me back the monitor volume WITHOUT ME having to disconnect my headphones physically. Instead when headphones are on inserted position, give me a software monitor/headphones toggle switch on evo control.

    • @weareevoaudio
      @weareevoaudio  4 роки тому +1

      I can assure you this is done entirely in hardware, not in software. The same volume control will affect the headphones and speakers at the same time and the volume won't be automatically changed when you connect the headphones.
      As mentioned above, there are other interfaces in our range that give the control you are looking for if using headphones and monitors at the same time is part of your workflow.

      @weareevoaudio  2 роки тому

      As the guy in the video with the big beard, I'm sorry to hear that. It's certainly nor normal behaviour for the inputs not to work. If you're on macOS, the usual suspect would be your Microphone Privacy settings not allowing your DAW applications access to the Mic signals. You can adjust this by going to System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Privacy > Microphone and ensuring there is a tick next to each app you wish to use the EVO with.
      If you are on Windows, it may be that the input and output sample rates are mismatched which you can resolved by going to the Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound and then double clicking on the EVO channels and going to the advanced tab to adjust the sample rate. We'd also recommend turning off the "Exclusive Mode" options while you are there.
