Hello Evo team. - Is it possible to use use two Focusrite Octopre Dynamic´s as slave and an Evo 16 16 as the master clock? Looking to expand my studio in the future from 16ch to 24 ch. - Is the world clock BNC needed for this or does it work with just ADAT? - Does the DAW through outputs with this? Thanks :-)
Hello, yes this should definitely be possible! In thsi setup, I'd recommend using a BNC word clock connection to the two Focusrite units as thsi will give you the most stable setup, but would also work by syncing the Focusrite units to the ADAT stream as well. Yes, you can send audio from the DAW out to the Optical ports using the DAW THRU functionality
It‘s so sad Audient/Evo does not mention the support of Logic‘s Audio Device Controls, though they are obviously supported, as you can see in these videos. Please make a video on this, and if still not fixed.. fix the problem with the evo 16 not working correctly with logic.
Mimi😂🎉❤😊
Hi I've got an Evo16 on the way - I want to ideally input all of my hardware in and then send that signal out (and DAW signal, midi synths etc) out through my pedals and then back in - could you let me know how to configure this? thanks!
You would want to plug your effect pedals into the line outputs of EVO 16 and bring it back in via the Line inputs of EVO 16. Then in the system panel of the EVO mixer software, set the outputs you are using for your Pedals to DAW THRU. Now you can easily send audio to your effects by sending audio to that output channel. You can then bring in the processed signal on Line inputs 1-8. Please send a message to support@evo.audio of you need more help.
Can I use the SP8 to extend inputs on another brand interface?
Provided it has an ADAT connect you absolutely can.
We've bought the EVO by Audient EVO 16 & 2 x EVO SP8, 24-input Recording Bundle. We use this at our band rehearsals with a full band. How do we connect in ear monitors to this? Can we use the outputs? Is there a way to mix my own monitor?
You can connect in-ears to the headphone outputs of the EVO 16, or you can connect a headphone amp to the line outputs of either EVO 16 or SP8. You can create monitor mixes using the CUE mix functionality in the EVO software mixer.
Just purchased the 16 and an 8. But I have cabled all input and outputs. Reference 2:15. Is this OK?
Yes, that is perfectly fine!
my evo 4 is not functioning properly. help
I'm sorry to hear that, so we can help you, can you please send a message to support@evo.audio
Omg finally a video that is clear and direct!!! Thank you!
if i connect my mixer to the inputs only i can record what comes out of the mixer normally, but no way i can hear live what i'm doing. what could be causing this? i have no monitors connected to the evo and i just want to hear what i'm doing through my pc speakers but this seems to be not possible
Its not possible to do this through the EVO software alone, but this should be possible with a little bit of routing on your computers settings. Can you please send a message to support@evo.audio and our team can help you set this up
Hi will the new iPhone 16 Pro be able to power this directly with a USB C to C cable? Even with phantom powered mics?
Is it possible to have a line input directly routed to the main mix? I have a second computer that I don't record on, I'd just like it's audio to get routed to the speakers/headphones without having a DAW open.
Yes, you can just pull up the fader for a Line input to send it to the Main Mix.
Why my serial number invalid?😓
If you are having difficulty registering, please send a message to support@evo.audio and we can help!
I am recording my screen in obs with loopback source , why loopback sending audio in mono ?
It really depends on how your Loop-back mixer is setup. Can you please send a message to support with screenshots of your Loop-back mixer?
I realized that I don't use evo 16 as 5.1 surround in windows 🤦
Bro, i buy evo 4 already. Im also buy speaker monitor. I use tsr input cable but I don't why my monitor doesn't work n no sound. My speaker is working well use with my pc. headphone still okay n no problem at all. Please help me🙏
Hello, can you please send a message to support@evo.audio so our team can help you? Please include the model and make of the speakers you are using.
good job 👍
Hi! I’m considering purchasing the EVO 16, and I have a question about connectivity. Is it possible to connect my existing audio interface, a Focusrite Saffire Pro 40, to the EVO 16 via SPDIF, and then record audio from the inputs on the Saffire through the EVO 16? Additionally, how should I configure the EVO 16 to ensure proper synchronization between the two interfaces? Should the EVO 16 act as the master clock, or is there another recommended setup? Thank you so much for your help
Yes, the Saffire Pro 40 can be connected to the EVO 16 using the optical connections and this would give you up to an additional 8 inputs to the EVO 16. In this setup, you'd want to use the EVO 16 as the master clock, and setup the Saffire to sync to it via the Optical connection
Adam, I want to echo the request for an iPad mixer app as I’m looking at buying the Evo 16 and the lack of an app is holding me back. While I have access to a M1 MacBook, my M4 iPad Pro is my primary music production device.
can you access remotely a smart gain features on on the evo mixer app? that would be a cool feature :)
This is a feature we are looking into and hope to add in a future update!
@@weareevoaudio, also like digital mixer features where you can control it on an iPad or phone. That would be a huge benefit! I'm looking forward to it, Morepower!!! 🔥🔥🔥 keep it up! Love from Philippines!
can you do the smart gain function on the mixer application? that would be helpful if the interface is far.
I use 30ohm presonus hd9 and beyer 990 250ohms....30ohm start distorting on max while 250 are really good..
Hi Adam from Eva lol
I have a 4 and a 16, both good products. On the EVO16 I have 1 request and a question. Request - when you go to save a preset, please display all existing presets and/or default to displaying the current preset you are editing. Otherwise you are blindly overwriting or creating new. Question - How do you record an input directly to a given output not using a DAW? Eg: record from input 3 and have it go directly out analogue 7 like a patchbay. Daw Through does not accomplish this.. Thanks
Hello, to route audio from an input to an output, I'd recommend using one of the CUE mixes. Simply assign a CUE mix to the output in the system panel. Then click on that CUE mix and pull up the fader for the input you wish to send to that output.
It’s called an audio interface
Thank you so much for this!!! 🙏 just got my evo4 today and tried randomly getting to something and was just SO lost
The quality of your shorts are top notch. They're extremely informative too!!! Subscribed!
What's the point of the 07:45 timestamp?

can i pluging in 2 guitars?
The EVO 4 has 1 Instrument input, but you could plug an external DI box into line input 2 in order to record a second guitar at the same time.
Hey, I have been using the EVO4 for mixing for about two years now. Recently, I discovered that the headphone output quality is affected by the volume setting. It's not because of loudness bias; it's the result of a level-matching test, of course. When the volume is set to 100, with the monitor mix parameter low, the audio quality is obviously better than when the volume is set low with the mix at 100. I'm not sure if this is a Windows platform problem or something else, but the EVO4's volume knob is linked with the Windows volume setting. I can only keep the volume at 100 and adjust the mix to get the right loudness for monitoring. It's pretty inconvenient, actually. Any solutions to this problem?
The main reason this would occur is that the volume control on EVO 4 is digital and works by effectively lowering the bit depth of the signal. The downside of this is that at lower output levels you do get a small drop in audio quality but using digital controls means that you get consistent levels in the left and right channels across the entire volume range which isn't easily possible using an analog volume control.
Where is the pin?
The pin is found on the underside of the unit, next to the serial number on the product sticker.
Myth.
Hello. I have connected my stereo cables from piano to evo 8. Everything works great, can record in garageband. But when I press the piano i cant hear the piano in my earphones. The sound comes out from the speakers of my piano. I need help. Im on mac m1 2020. I have connected my earphones in the front of the evo8. So i can playback what I recorded in garageband in earphones. But no sound in my earphones when I press the piano. Thank you
Hello, if you need help can you please send a message to support@evo.audio and our team can assist you.
Can I record straight away without using auto-gain feature?
Yes, you can also set your gains manually if you prefer!
Can I use Evo 16 with asp800? How to connect them right?
Yes, you can use ASP800 with EVO 16. You'd simply connect the ADAT outputs of the ASP800 to the ADAT inputs of the EVO 16. You can then set the clock source of the EVO 16 to Optical in order to keep everything in sync.
I buy already but can't work with my phone honor magic 5
Hi hat all the way to the left really bothers me, feels like my headphones aren’t on properly or something. It’s definitely worth spreading drums out but to have a hi hat that far to one side can’t sound great unless it’s very quiet
I fix this by adding a slight reverb that only shows up on the other channel (that's what actually happens while listening to a real cymbal in a room)
@@LorenzoPiano that’s probably better but it would still kinda give the effect of a less harshly panned hi hat anyway. I’ll give that one a go
Eh buddy does this effect amp sims? In stand alone my sim sounds great but when used through reaper the volume cuts and the tone is horrible?should I use the reaper monitor? Or the interface? And would this make the amp sil sound like it does in stand alone?
hi evo, can I ask for loop cloud, do I need to pay after the 14 day trial or can I use it forever for free?
To continue to access your Loopcloud account after the trial expires you would need to pay
You cant bypass preamp and no MIDI. Shame.
I am not able to work a 5.1 monitoring setup with EVO 16. I am using a mac 10.9.5 and running Protools 10.3.7. Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated
The EVO 16 doesn't have a 5.1 monitor control so you are unable to control the volume of 6 outputs simultaneously. You can use the DAW THRU function and an external monitor controller, however.
routing tutoroal pls
hi, why my ableton's metronome click sound cannot be heard at all from any of the output in EVO 16?
Hello there, can you please ensure you haven't the latest firmware update and drivers installed on your unit as this will resovle this issue. If you need more assistance, please message support@evo.audio

Hi , i just bought the new ipad pro. Can i use the Apple usb c-usb cable i got with it to connect the evo 4 to my ipad? I was just wondering whether that would lead to any latency or loss in quality since i won’t be using the original USB A-C cable provided with your product.
Hello there, It is absolutely fine to use a USB-C to USB-C cable and this will not affect the EVO's audio quality or performance.
haven't figured out how to tart recording audio...
my evo4 doesn't want to update ...and doesn't work at all just buy but will send back, not smooth at all 1 hour try ti fix ...
If you haven't already, can you please send a message to support@evi.audio and our team can help you
As a whole, with examples from those ages? No, LCR mixing should be left in the past. But on double-tracked elements like vocals and guitars, LCR makes a lot of sense.
