Seiko is so deep in culture and history, I find myself purchasing watches from the 60s and 70s as I learn to respect the foundation of modern time! Love you videos and information you provide here.
Quite impressed that Seiko is offering this for not a lot of money. Favourite feature of it, of course that dial colour. Glad to see the channel has gone from strength to strength since I've been on.

That's a nice looking watch Gary. I experienced resizing this style of bracelet on an Orient Tristar and yes,, not easy to do. I ended up removing it and putting it on a nice blue leather strap. That would make this watch look a lot better. Love that dial.
To get a real Seiko, and one with a great-looking dial, date and chrono functions at this price is impressive. One could ditch the bracelet, throw it on black rubber (or brown leather as you did), and have a nice weekend beater that even an enthusiast could appreciate.
Got mine the other day, except for the fact that the diameter is a little small for my wrist, I love it. One of the handy things was not having to resize the bracelet by removing links, all I had to do is move the adjuster pin 4 holes smaller and it fit just fine. I would prefer an oyster bracelet, but hey, whataya want for cheap...lol 😊
I came across these type of straps on a citizen diver, only last week but once you do a couple of links you get use to it, you only need a small watch type screw driver.

Seiko as a brand are incredible, allowing people to populate wrist real estate for pretty much any budget. They’ve nailed most of the design cues in my opinion and even have the innovation box checked (spring drive). Are they underrated though…?
Hi there, I'm a massive Seiko fan with one JDM Seiko, one mod and the new Grey SSC911P1 Seiko chronograph. I've been lusting after a grand Seiko for a long time but out of my price range.
It would be a dream to have a grand seiko. I just have a 250€ Seiko, but have work for so long for having that luxury that it means the world for me. It´s good to know that using other ways (ebay) the dream is more attainable :) Thanks !
I paid 85.00 usd for mine on Amazon. I have the black dial and though the bracelet is cheap, it is light and comfortable. Very accurate and a great bargain for the money.
Interesting. I’ve got a very similar seiko I bought in the uk about 15 years ago. Same dial but black and without Lume. Same movement. Looking forward to the next GS draw! 🤞🏻🤞🏻
What a fantastic value for 90$ My first Seiko was a " Baby Jumbo" in 1973. Seiko is blowing it out of water with nice affordable watches like the 5 GMT, SPC series and Recraft. Thanks going to have to get this one too
Seiko offer value. I prefer to use the word “value” and not “cheap”. Value and cheap can mean very different things, depending on how much you have to spare in the bank. I bought my first watch when I was 17, I’m now 66 and have much more disposable income. I still wear that watch from time to time. I’m still buying Seiko watches, I believe they offer something for everyone, with no need to go elsewhere. It’s not snobbery for me, just the pleasure of continuing to support a brand that has been honest and fair with me all my life.
Wow, that looks very nice considering the price point. It reminds me a lot of my SZSJ006 Nano Universe collaboration chronograph. I absolutely LOVE that watch and this looks like another banger.

I bought it a couple of months ago and I am very pleased with it. The three sub-dials are matt black which blends in well with the sunburst blue dial, standing out without being obstrusive. The downside of the shiny polished bezel is that the text is difficult to read. If you need the tachymeter function then better buy something else. The lume is rather long lasting although it is very faint. I can still barely see it after 6 hours in the dark. Overall it is very good value, I think I paid close to 100 incl shipment.
I really love Seiko's.... but I really need to stop watching vids like this. I can't be spending more money on watches! And I really do want a Chronograph. Great review and thanks for the nice find. I'll add it to the list!
Good on you Garry. Pushing an obviously cheap strapped Seiko Chronograph watch to the budget conscious. One thing for sure, when the Ali-Express watches are already in the bin this Seiko will still be going. Super basic watch but a good starter for a teenager. Nice review.
Nice video to introduce this watch. It looks like a good base to modify on. Simply replace the bracelet and it instantly becomes a very decent watch. If I am more ambitious, I could even replace the watch hands but never done that so could need a little time to explore and research about it before I start anything.

A while ago I would have said this is a good deal. But I bought a Depth Charge diver from Watch Shop. For £107. NH35, sapphire crystal with AR coating, ceramic bezel, milled clasp, solid end links, solid links, 316L , great finish and surprisingly good lume. That changed my perspective about good value 😉
A month into my impulse purchase, my thoughts: it wears quite small even for the dimensions. The bracelet is better than described. My big gripe is with the dial. At this smaller size, there is just too much busy-ness to the dial, esp. the writing of the brand plus a second line ("chronograph") and third line ("10 bars"). Should have decluttered those lower two lines. And the hands--as you mentioned, just. too. small. I mean, it is quite hard to read those thin hands against the busy dial. I would not buy again for those reasons.
You should have a look at the Seiko Wired Tuna AGAJ405/6/7 The wired collection in general is where seiko puts their weird or marmite watches, but like marmite, some people like it. I like the AGAD417 the most.

If you have ever put a Seiko watch on your wrist, and stared at it lovingly like lovers first ever kiss, the feeling is incredibly powerful. I have never felt for any other watch like I feel when I wear a Seiko. There is no watch on the planet with the uniqueness of a Seiko, and it's sentimental value is priceless. I am a Seiko for life😂😅 (eye roll from Rolex owners reading this😅)
check out the seiko SND379, its similar to this one but with a different dial and hands and has a bead blast finish on the case, its one of my all time favorite budget seikos

That's true Rene, but would still go for a Seiko if the price is right. That's not dissing Ali Express brands, I now have two Pagani including the Mission to Uranus Moonwatch which is a fantastic watch, but there's just something about Seiko!
Keep in mind, this is a mid 90´s watch design. I have a Seiko quartz chrono from -97, and this is not far off . So this is basically a very affordable retro watch. ♥

I really liked the brown strap. I’ve done the same to another Seiko I own, leather is so much more comfortable for me. Good move.

I put one in my basket yesterday, pulling the trigger today. I like how it doesn't have MIN and SEC on the subdials.

The blue dial looks very nice, it's a shame that they didn't do much for the bracelet, but you can't expect much for that price obviously!

On USA Amazon I am finding the SND365PC Seiko chronograph for $91 USD. Looks similar but different. A 38mm navy blue reverse panda.

I have had two 7T92-based watches. Both have been extremely reliable and very, very accurate.
That Seiko would look killer with either a beads of rice or jubilee bracelet. I have an SSB383 with a cream dial that is very similar.
For that price you get a good looking watch head and a reliable movement. Might look good on a mesh bracelet for a small premium. Regards

Seiko do the best dials, the strap would push me to invest a touch more but a great value first watch on a budget.
