So not a major fail. You had a gun that did develop a problem, they made good on it, and even threw in $200 worth of mags to make up for the trouble. I'd say a positive experience all the way around, beyond the original problem happening.. Which could have happened to any manufacturer.. Glad it all worked out!

Thanks for sharing. I had a problem with the safety grip on my C2 after 500 rounds. Called Staccato and they sent me a shipping label to send in. Gunsmith called me after a couple of days and he told me my frame was cracked. He made me a new C2 with a better frame coating. Good to go after a year.

When I got my C2 back the hammer was fixed not moving around but my trigger was 6lbs. Called them up, sent the gun back, they fixed it and finally my C2 has been flawless. Can't say I was thrilled to give up my edc but man their customer service was top notch. Going over the 10,000 round mark now and not one issue so far. Shit happens!

Good information. I don't have one though I've been considering getting a C2 for awhile. Staccato seems like a stand-up, customer focused operation. Your experience seems to support that. You put a lot of rounds through your guns which is helpful for both you and all of us watching. I'm interested to see how your new gun performs as you put more and more rounds through it. Thanks for the deep dive.

Ironically, had an identical situation but with a C, was never right, but worsened with time, it was my first Staccato, so wrote it off to break in, I own 4 STIs which being competition guns, are more finicky and require break in, finally called Staccato, they were just changing from STI to Staccato at the time I purchased it, sent it in, they contacted me, said the same thing, warped frame, replaced the gun, but with the DPO slide and included correct plate for my chosen optic and a few new mags, just like you, great customer service. I own 4 STIs and now have 3 Staccatos, only time I’ve had any kind of an issue and couldn’t be happier with the guns, the brand and the customer service, they stand by their products!!!

Great video! A perfect example of why training and practice are so important. The only way you can find a problem with your firearm is through repetition and regular usage. Especially, on the guns that you depend on for self defense. I take different guns to the range every time I go.......However, I always take my carry guns and my bedside gun. Those guns get regular action. I'm glad Staccato did you well. Apparently, a great company. There are a few big name manufacturers out there that have terrible customer service. Glad it worked out and here's hoping that nothing goes wrong with the new C2. I bet it will be perfect.

Stucatto/ STI is a great company. I bought a second-hand Grandmaster 9mm/38 super a few years ago. It was a big purchase for me at the time. I'm sure the pistol had 50,000 rounds on it by the time I got it, and I put another 1,500 on it before the slide cracked by the ejection port.
STI took care of me. I think I dropped a couple hundred bucks and they fit a new slide, gave me the new style optic mount, new springs, new 38 super barrel with new style comp, fit a compless 9mm practice barrel etc, etc. I didn't have the money to buy a new competition pistol (or even have the work done by a good smith) at that time. They weren't under any obligation to hook me up...2nd owner and another smith had done a bunch of work to it.
I'll buy a stucatto c2 at some point, just based on how they do business. I've got a wilson edc x9, or I'd already be on that train.

Thanks for sharing your experience with your C2. The key take away is that Staccato did take care of your problem in a timely manner. My C2 round count is not nearly as hight as yours since I shoot a large number of different guns, however it has run fine so far. Time will tell if it is an inherent problem or an unique issue. I will say that my only experience with Staccato's customer service was a bit disappointing. Upon cleaning my C2 a while back I discovered that it had a broken firing pin spring. Since I could not find a replacement part on their website, I called customer service who merely referred me to Dawson Precision. Upon asking if Dawson had the same replacement spring I was told he did not know and that I would have to ask Dawson. Comparing the springs, the replacement spring from Dawson appears heavier, but has worked fine. The manner in which this was handled and that I was unable to get a replacement part from the manufacturer I find disappointing. I have had much better experiences from other manufacturers who's guns cost much less.

This was on the first box of ammo.
Sent it in and Colt polished the broken half circle where the chunk broke off.
Also had purchased a full size 1991, the disconnector would not reset on that one.
It got traded (by the store) for a Stainless MK IV ser 80, that turned out to be flawless.
    Staccato did you a solid
    Colt did me dirty.
    1 outta 3 ain't good.
Hope you never have another spot of trouble with the new C2.
Still saving up for one (and to let the market etc.. settle out).

Give it 5k rounds on new staccato. See if it warps again. Hopefully not, good customer service. I think they should of gave you the threaded barrel for free. You paid a lot of money for a compact 9mm. That would of been 5 star customer service. I hope your new C2 does well. I have roughly 2k rounds through my SW Shield Plus carry gun. So far, no issues

As a C2 owner, this doesn't concern me at all. Like you said, it's a sample of 1. I've heard testimonies of others with over 5 digits through theirs with no issues. Glad to hear Staccato replaced the whole pistol.

Staccato has a lifetime warranty. Idk why you played around this long. I'm just lost how you call the c2 duo a major fail and then fall back and call it a sample of one. Seems like desperate clickbait imo.

The gun did fail and they did fix it, so how is this clickbait? Are you new to guns? I know they have a lifetime warranty (I own a few). I wanted to make sure it wasn’t a maintenance item (spring) or something basic before I reached out to the manufacturer. I did reach out as it became consistent so it could be duplicated in testing for them. This is definitely not my 1st rodeo with firearms, apparently you are new to my channel but do your homework on me 1st, before spewing your BS!

Great info and commentary. Been carrying my C2 for 3 months. Love it. Staccato is a great company.
You’re right regarding “all products may fail”

Glad they took care of you but it really shouldn’t happen to a 2500 gun. For most of us this would be a once in a lifetime gun purchase.

Like you I've also had two issues in the past with different manufacturers. I have a old STI Eagle built by Virgil Tripp ( his name is on the build sheet) and I had to have it rebuilt. I did use it in two gun comp for several years and it was abused by me. The guys in Georgetown rebuilt it and I still shoot it on occasion, it runs like a sewing machine ( its .40 and it sits more now than ever). The second pistol I had issues with was an EDCX9, the guys at WC could learn a lot from the guys in Georgetown. After 6 months of WC having the pistol I got it back and it was still having extraction issues. I sold it.
Currently my EDC is a C2 and I've had no issues, but if I do I know the guys at STI will correct it.
Somethings must run, always .....an EDC is one of those things. I trust my C2.

Kimber gets alot of hate but they came out with the LW aluminum frame models again and I had a issue with 1 of 2 they fixed it no questions asked and in a timely manner. Sti was great and it sounds like they are carrying on the tradition with Stacatto.

I believe in sharing my negative experiences with those responsible, and if Staccato had provided poor CS I would agree with your video. But from what I took after watching the entire video, you got a bad gun. You admit stuff goes wrong. They went above and beyond to make it right. So why post "Major Fail" and whine about them for 20 minutes before admitting they did the right things? You could have reported the issue with more emphasis on what they did right and made it balanced, instead of making it all about their "failure." You sound like a snowflake.
I've watched several of your videos. Not anymore.

Did you watch your grip Sometimes a small thumb ride on the slide will cause this. Remember the Staccato has lighter spring rates!
