I keep two watering cans by my back door. Every time the dog goes out, I watch and water the spot. It's the only way I've been able to mitigate burn spots 100%. Pain in the butt, however effective.
Thanks! I never realized that this only started occurring after my boy golden doodle passed away and we got a girl golden doodle! I've ordered the product! I'm so excited to have had you figure this out.
Hey Doc, off topic but awhile back you were looking for a verticutter and I just ran across one. Swardman sells a verticutter attachment for their reel mowers. Maybe you could rig up a way to hook it onto your McClain.
This is one of my favorite lawn channels on you tube, but I have empire zoysia grass in my front yard and st Augustine citra blue in my back yard I’m in Miami,Florida zone 10
I've been telling people for years that gypsum helps. I apply gypsum and water it in good 2 to 3 times a year and I don't have pee spots. I have 2 mini aussies that live full time in the backyard. I also use ammonium sulfate along with the gypsum.
Our worst issue with pee spots is when it’s hot and dry. We also have a combination of many grasses, including red fescue, blue grass, perennial ryegrass, and some weed grasses, like tall fescue, crab grass, and a patches of viney grass that started where the previous owner had a kiddie pool. That last grad mentioned doesn’t grow tall, it branches.. it’s hard to describe, but spreads. I’m a picker, I sit in my yard and pick creeping Charlie, wild violet, etc, but in the last 2 years it’s getting beyond what I can control in a half acre. I’m 70, retired, etc. I bought Quinclorac to kill weed grasses, but once the weed grasses die, only weeds will grow in the bare spots… Do you have a video showing how to prevent weeds in those bare spots, even per spots, and how to resend these little but many multiple patches???? Please!
Got a male dog…just recently…some months ago, his urine has begun burning my lawn 🤬. I can’t watch everywhere he goes but he pees on the same spot EVERY TIME. Then when I water after he goes somewhere else🤦♂️🤦♂️

Could you add water to a separate bottle and add a little bit of the mixture to lighten the color before applying?

The dogs pee every day. Do you then spray every day?
But they pee every day multiple times - how can you keep up with all their spots ?
I’ve given up. My 1 yr old female lab has the entire backyard as her restroom. The front yard on the other hand is pee pee free!
and this is confirmed to be dog safe?
How do you handle leaf jumpers? They’ve invaded my lawn and my grass tips are brown. Never had an issue before. Any recommendations please?
Talstar will work on them and you may need repeated treatments'
@@HowTowithDoc thanks Doc- I’ll give it a try! It’s crazy how much damage they can do. It almost emulated army worms so I was putting down Duocide.
Thats cool!
Have you ever heard of using Lyme ?
Now if it were only this easy to cover the male pattern baldness patch…
I mean, you won’t know til you try…
Never had any pee spots with my two female dogs. We’ve had our new male dog for 6 months now and we have pee spots everywhere he pees.
Green spray paint! J/k thank you!
