- Let the A-shaped wedge plate LEGO madness begin!
I have truly fallen in love with this plate--it is so insanely versatile. Many more builds to come in this vein.

while y'all were busy being surprised by how perfect it was I was busy getting surprised by how many wedges this man has

OH SCREW LIFE!
@@munchyos That was my thoughts exactly while watching this!! Like, how did he get hundreds of just that one piece?
That A wedge plate is the most cursed element I've seen Lego make in a long time.
I have never seen that piece, and seeing so many of them makes it even weirder.
Yeah, it makes me feel unclean.
@@dermathze700 that piece especially that color is from the Lego dimensions starter pack
It says A
It's sus
This may just be the closest to a perfect circle you've ever accomplished. Those outer edges are unimaginably smooth!
Offsetting those plates is such a magical little trick : )
Little did they know, the perfect circle was the lego you made along the way.
In fact, the Lego hide a perfect circle right at the top.
And its legal too🤣
I mean except for the time they actually made a couple of perfect circles

I love the pattern it makes. I wonder if, with how it's flexing, you could make a shallow bowl if you kept adding pieces towards the centre of the wheel
My first attempt at adding an additional inner ring flattened the build out, but there are endless possibilities. I'm sure a bowl/dome is out there.
@@BrickBending if there's one thing I know, it's that you'll find a way
You mean with how the BRICKs are BENDING *wink*
A plate?
That's a really interesting build, definitely some potential for further expansions. Especially with the way it curves on its own, expanding that further inwards would lead to an interesting dome shape with further rows.
Totally agree. Sometimes I really hate burying that bit of flex under more layers, but I knew I wanted to see what a massive wheel would look like. I was not disappointed. : )

@@BrickBending i was not disappointed either
He could make a ball with it
Could be a great technique to make a dome on a stadium
That caveman mini figure has seen some things. Beautiful, terrifying things. Things that defy explanation. Things that taunt its limited understanding of the universe, teasing it towards an answer to a question it never asked. The caveman can only stare with a sickening feeling of wonder and shock, trying to grasp at thoughts that seem so clear, only to watch them fade into mist at his touch. He’s left with but meaningless memories of their existence, like shadows flickering on a cold cave wall as the fire of knowledge burns on through the night.
like all your videos, it starts with my brain going "what the hell is he doing"
3 minutes later... "Holy crap that amazing!!!"
love your channel.
Cheers my friend.
Sweet! I'm psyched to see what you do with different shapes. I like how when you roll it it goes "AAAAAAAAAAAAAA..."
i was looking for a comment like this
Too true!
@@llemolky3957 , So was I.
Did you know: You can also hear an "AAAAAAAAAA" if you roll a baby too.
@@BobRossCat Really? I'm gonna test that!
At about 1.44 I was thinking to myself "what a nice structure and with no tension at all". Then you showed a glimpse of tension, just to restrain it again into a solid wheel. One piece opens a new world of possibilities for you, I guess. I can't wait to see more of what comes of it! Keep up your good work!
Thanks my friend. It was so close to a perfect circular connection. But I'll be exploring that proto-dome at some point. Magic either way. : )
I love how he starts off with like, two or three pieces, than makes a slightly bigger thing and pulls out 5 more of them. Then, just when you think he's done, he'll add on more and combine 4 huge pieces to make one big, mind boggling structure.
Something tells me that this thing uses over a hundred of these pieces, if not even more. And since this piece is kinda rare, not that many people will be able to do this trick.
its for the people who value funny little blocks over paying rent

They're like a cent each on bricklink. Maybe not this exact shade but medium azure is and it looks nice too
Probably about 400-600 pieces judging by the tiny pieces make up around 15% the rest is wedges
I really like how he put a caveman as a comparison since they're commonly associated with inventing the wheel
This actually blew my mind, feels like it's unfinished though, like it's 1 small piece of a huge engine or something.
DANG that is one smooth curve!! This is one of the best ones I’ve seen from you yet and that’s such a cool use of that wedge piece!
Thank you! I love this one.
Man, that's a. Real amount of wedges you got there...
When he showed how the shape could rebound at 1:48, I thought he was going to expand upward to make a giant spring.
Reminds me a little of the roof of some stadiums at first - could be great in some architecture models for sure!
Not really, imagine if it rained XD
I cant imagine how long some of these builds take!! Must take AGES to cut down and edit!! As always, it was definitely worth the time spent on it!!!!!
Cheers! It's a lot of work, but it also really fun to share. This ridiculous wheel is just awesome 😂
I just got the space shuttle Discovery set as an early birthday present and saw this was one of the pieces I was wondering when you'd do a video using it
theres also that weird heart peice, but i dont think you could do anything with the cockpit part though.
@BrickBending:
I suspect that combining this wedge with the green hinge plate
(from the black & green Rhombic Triacontahedron)
will make possible some truly impressive spheres
ALSO:
Considering all the wedge plates you showed us in the previous video, how high could you continue to build the thickness of this wheel?
It looks so sturdy that (if it was tall enough) such a cylinder might be the support for a stool cushion, for a person to sit down on.
@@CaineDM1955 it is rock solid. I could probably stand on the circle with just 17 layers. And it could be as tall as you like. : )
Indeed. Maybe a polyhedron with domed faces... 😁
@@BrickBending:
I can picture it working either way...
...a series of slightly dome-shaped circles of various sizes, touching each other at tangent points...
...or...
...a set of triangular panels, with a pair of hinge plates on each edge, making a geodesic sphere.
Never have I ever seen that wedge piece in all my years of lego building.
Love your videos by the way!
This looks like it would be perfect for a lego recreation of a certain stadium with the same design.
I can't get over how simple this guy's designs are, yet how impossible they are for me to think of myself. It's just a different way of visualizing.
The fact that at 0:43, the studs on the inside A pieces line up perfectly must be a miracle.
edit: you can see that there's no tension, because it's only at 1:26 that the circle starts warping.
That should make this a "legal" technique for building an arch bridge.
If they lined up perfectly into a circular arc on the inside and outside there would be no tension at 1:26. The tension is already there the whole time my friend.
@@tynanstevens5544 True, there's *some* tension. (I saw that slight 0.5mm-ish lift off on the inside after I wrote my comment.) But that tension is minuscule. Build any bridge structure¹ and the sag will be larger than this lift (therefore I would assume that the tension in most "legal" bridges is larger than the tension in this *technically* illegal arch). And while turning this into a bridge would add those two types of tension, the contribution from the misalignment would be the smaller of the two.
¹with a length of 20 studs or more
By the way, here's how you can make it fully tension-free:
The structure that he built at 0:45 has 8 "A" pieces along the outside edge. However, pieces 2,3,6 & 7 are not needed to define the shape. The essentially same curvature is also enforced by the "A" pieces touching leg-to-leg on the bottom. Thus if you replaced those "A" pieces at the top with 1by4 plates (and possibly filled in the hole that that leaves with fake trusses) you'd eliminate that tension. And who knows, maybe the ever-so-slightly larger radius will allow the circle to close with less tension too...
Very impressive.
Incredibly peaceful watching these builds.
Why is the sight and sound of the wheel rolling so damn satisfying?
These builds never stop being so amazing
That’s cool to build a circle with these pieces
Breaking news: UA-camr goes bankrupt after spending $1200 on lego A-plates
edit: turns out it was 12K pieces not 9K
Can we just appreciate how this must have takes ages, and the fact that they probably went to a lego store and said, "Can I have 500 of your finest wedge pieces please."
The man with the latex gloves was surprisingly gentle.
This is an illegal lego build according to lego engineers
The springyness that is observed right after he finished the first sircle comes from unwanted stress in the lego pieces
But it looks amazing!
Who cares
I’m happy I finally found someone who knows this is illegal
This makes me want to set a D&D battle in the middle of one of those
The sound this makes at the tail end of the spins was oddly satisfying
The sound it makes when falling is the best
It’s really impressive that you can make a complex pattern like that, I feel like I would get mixed up or lose my place for sure.
I love the little "lace" pattern that it makes too!
He has every Lego piece that I’ve never had but needed
That circle would amazing for a picture frame of you or you n your family playing with Legos!
This would make a perfect star gate circle that could rotate. Nice
1:18 this is the equivalent of "hey so I did some mining off camera"
They keep adding to it!!! So much patience, and so many pieces!
Such a satisfying sound hearing it roll 🖤
Those blue pieces came from the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack.
This man is to smart to be kept alive
so far, this is one of my faves! love the wedge!
Makes a cool noise when it rolls, that’s for sure 👍
That design would make a nice decoration piece if it was hanging on a wall. I'd totally put something like that in my house.
Such cool sounds!!
Wow! The pattern on the circle is so pretty😊
Would make for a nice Christmas decoration. Just make a star or a snowflake in the centre or something and it's perfect.
Dude, its only a matter of time till this guy builds a flawless mobius strip
the sound is so satisfying
That flex reminds me of the spring in clutches.
I like the colors you used. I've always loved blue and orange.
This is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen I’m gonna try to make this one day
The sound made of the end of the video when he span it I felt like my life and meeting at that moment
This is WAY too cool i never knew we could make this masterpiece with just tiny legos
That is a downright *comical* amount of wedge pieces, even for a LEGO enthusiast.
I can't imagine the frustration to disassemble them
That looks really strong. I wish we could test some of these to the limits
Legos are the best kind of ASMR
LEGO: How many 15706’s in Medium Azure do you want to buy?
Brick Bending: YES!
That makes a really good decor piece ngl
Yo dude. Congrats on the UA-cam resurgence, been a fan since TheBrickBlogger made a post about you in... 2013? I think. GG man!
That was really incredible
would love to see a video of you taking apart many of these creations
I just can't get it out of my head that it could very well become a wreath
This A plate is insanely cursed and i love thst this channel has many of these
Watching the first half of this is like watching the Bricklink Studio copy/paste function in real life.
I was distracted reading the comments so I didn't see you build it, I did see you roll it around
What a beautiful shape
Very cool build 👍
kirby says: mouthfull mode approved!
Little to no strain on the bricks... Didn't expect that, I give this a thumbs up for sure 👍
That wedge piece looks like Captain America’s ‘A’. If you have the red and white ones you could almost make a Lego Captain America shield.
I can't begin to imagine how much Lego Dimensions portal sets you had to buy to get all of the necessary pieces for this
this guy puts more effort into building mind blowing lego builds than me doing my homework
Who has this much Lego!! I'm jealous
That’s super cool!!!
I have so many of these pieces they're awesome, I even have the same color
That's amazing!
Best video i have ever seen, beautiful
This so good!
That color combination reminds me of shiny gardevoir
Why does this feel like ‘illegal’ Lego, modern art en asmr combined, while also not being those things at the same time?
(Except for the asmr part, can’t deny that one)
You could make some crazy strong towers just by stacking that
This looks like something I'd make out of boredom
This is awesome! I feel like making this into a tank (if I owned more than 1 of these wedge pieces)
Awesome!
The sound it makes 😌🤌🤌
I know. I rolled it for ages. 😌
Going to see if I can get the wedges in a dark green... Might make a Christmas wreath out of this design!
The dedication in this video is crazy BUT HOW DO YOU EVEN GET THAT MANY OF ONE PIECE OF LEGO YOURE GONNA BUY THEIR WHOLE STOCK
ILL TAKE YOUR ENTIRE STOCK
Bruh a 2:48 when he Carrie’s down the second circle without showing us is every Lego set I own when it just throws a curveball out of no where
its so pretty
At every point in the construction, the motives of the creator are vague and impossible to understand. And once the wheel is complete, it is a near perfect circle and it balances rather well.
11/10 cinema. Would watch again.
You are really clever and awesome❤️
With that slight bow in the first layer, wouldn't it make a humorous sphere if you connected it edge to edge with other circles?
Absolutely
This is like one of those make a circle in Minecraft videos!
