Good afternoon Were you able to give me some help? I'm undecided between this Bora Ultra and a Zipp NSW, as I didn't say any, I'd like to get an opinion from someone who has tried everything. Thanks
Very nice wheels, thanks for the video. I may have missed it in the review but is the rim made without spoke holes, so that no rim tape is required ? My Campy Bora wto rim brake wheels have this feature and I makes tubeless installation and maintenance much easier .
Yeah, seem to be a lot of people moaning about the price, and how it’s not a rational choice. What should they care, if someone want to by them good luck to them .
Fancy ? look like. actual it has quailty issue. this is my experience. i bought it on May 30th 2022. The spoke of rear wheel was suddenly broken when I rode outside with normal speed 15 KM/H on July 30th 2022. Guess what the customer service is terrible . until now, the wheel is still unfix in Campagnolo service center.
@@culturedkeys1289 Depends what tire setup/depth/material you're looking for: Fulcrum offer 40/55/75s in their carbon lineup. Think they come with ceramic bearings, so that is definitely a win.
@@culturedkeys1289 If you are also keen to cut down weight: check out Fulcrum 40 CMPTZNs. Looking to upgrade my wheelset as well: debating between Fulcrum/Mavic/Vision. But the bright label Campys sure look good!
Why are they so much more than the rim brake WTO wheels? (Not looking for a rim vs disc whine fest. I don't care what brakes people want to use. Just curious.)
Good question. But the rim brake version (which I have) does not have those internal rim bed nipples. Other than that, its probably because DB is the in thing now, so they add some extra margin to the price.
Please pronounce the brand correctly. It's annoying AF to hear it butchered. How about they started saying Winsteen Churchhole? It is NOT just a variant pronunciation, it's wrong.
I have Enve rim brake tubulars. They’re fantastic. I want a pair of Bora WTO disc wheels but only in tubular. Clincher it way too heavy, but Campy doesn’t make any WTOs in tubular.
@@daanmeels1028 Leeze and lambdaracing in Germany make quality wheels. The former have tested well and if you search online for user experiences people are happy. I have the lambda now and they are top notch. I am sure other countries also have such lesser known brands that make good wheels and also there are by now very good Chinese wheels (which is where all the carbon stuff is made anyway).
Hardly a "test" to just ride them and say they make you want to stand on pedals in climb. Really!! A real test would be on a rolling floor in a wind tunnel against its rivals eg zipp or enve. So don't bother with these stupid "feels fast" videos that are probably sponsored. Disappointing review
Where are people riding these wheels going to be riding? On a rolling floor in a wind tunnel or on an actual road? If you want those numbers then just listen to what Campagnolo says as I'm sure they have aero numbers
The nipple talking points are totally BS. Asking that kind of money for a set of hoops is fully an Italian thing like most other Italian products because they are an arrogant people. I stay away from Italian cycling products because I find better quality and value in other brands. I had my bike frame made here in the USA and sourced the components for their quality. Paying more doesn't always mean it must be better, that is a myth when it comes to Italian cycling gear. Campagnolo used to be a good brand but now, well, everything being carbon it can't be. Carbon is not a good material for durability, and therefore not worth the asking price.
@@jayaybe1 Money is not the issue for me. I replace my bikes every 2 to 3 years and my last bike cost over $11,000. I do however have an issue with what you get in terms of value for that money. Italian products are not a good value. You got anything more to say?
@@wasupwitdat1mofiki94 Yes, I was rather humoured by your "...they are an arrogant people.." comment. Such a huge generalisation of an entire nation of people, is it born out of some personal experience you've now extrapolated to include an entire population ( and it's manufacturers ) ?
@@jayaybe1 I'll narrow it down. Arrogant when they believe their product design and quality are better than anything the rest of the World offers so their pricing is always higher. Have you ever looked at Passoni or Sarto? Here in the US we now have manufacturers producing better bikes and components not sourced out to foreign companies where labor is cheap and at a comparable or lessor price.
@@francksteinel3082 That was very enlightening, thanks for your explaining that to me. So I was wrong to label Italians in general arrogant. But still, I won't buy Italian. I buy a bike for function not to hang on my wall like art.
That sworks color is lovely
A very helpful overview without any of the usual "so fast, so stiff, so comfortable" bollocks that's usually churned out for a wheelset review.
That s-works bike is a thing of beauty!
I think the regular WTOs will do me just fine….
I did! Love them.
If I ever win a 'C' grade race, I hope the guy that comes second has a set of those 😁
Lovely wheels - high rollers only💸💸💸💸
Mere mortals look away😟
Get a better paid job
£3k! 😳 Emperor’s new clothes. Great on “The Club Run” 🤣😂
It's just like a Sunday morning coffee club run for supercar owners ( of which there are many ) only MUCH cheaper. It's all a matter of perspective.
Now but a Campa groupset too and Chorus is good enough

Insane prices. How much better are they than a pair of sub 400 quid zondas?
Stuff the wheels look at the colour of that frame!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
who is Campakknowlow?
Yeah, can you pls learn how to pronounce that properly? It really is not so difficult…
😂
It would be good to mention the weight of the wheels
It's none of my business what my dentist spends his money on.

Even with disposable income, it's hard to justify the cost.
Whats a good alternative wheels to these? I just don't see the justification in the price
Try Fulcrum: it's Campagnolo owned.

Probably the same reason that diesel fuel is more expensive than petrol (in the UK) More people using them.
sorry, I was paying more attention to the bike

That Shitmano drivetrain though 😅
Paying so much just to be “a bit different” in the club.. I’m guessing it’s a club for the riches then where emotion triumphs rationale
There's nothing wrong with indulging your emotions if you have the money ; - )

Was it not possible to find a presenter who actually knows how to pronounce the name of the company whose product he is reviewing?
Yeah, he fricken butchered it completely. Its not hard. Silent G.
Campy mixed with Shitmano 🤦🏽♂️......oh dear oh dear!
Just too expensive. Plenty of wheels with similar performance and weight (if not better) for much cheaper.
which one?

It's not campaGnolo, it's pronounced campanyolo
Not with the potholes around here.
They are laughing all the way to the bank - how much for plastic wheels? You will be saying disc brakes are necessary on road bikes next.
Learn how to say Campagnolo. And next, the wheels are (market price) 30% cheaper that what you state they should cost.
'Flesh coloured bodysuit'
It's embarrassing, the way you pronounce the company name.
I bet it just cost $50 to manufacture
It is not "Campacknolo".... 🤦🏻 "Campanyolo" is correct
