    Some of you are saying the audio is broken at Vibrant but we can't seem to find any issues when we play it back...Maybe a UA-cam issue? Post your issues below.

      It comes up as really boomy in the vibrant section...like the space of the warehouse has been amplified or something

      Yeah, no sound starting at 6:30 for a couple of minutes, then no sound again at 11:45

    A responsive Supra is definitely more interesting than a peaky powerhouse that just spins till 5th gear

      So many people think a supra is slow unless its making 4 digit horsepower. What they don't think about is that even at like 450hp this thing is still going to be faster than 95% of street cars.

      This is the exact reason why I've never looked at a single turbo kit for any of my straight six cars , supras or my n54 I love hearing a blow off valve release 10 psi at 2,500 rpm. Upgraded stocks FTW.

    Sounds fine at your place. As soon as it cuts to vibrant it sounds like the microphone is muffled and distant.

    6:27 is completely broken until 9:13 when it sort of work but then it's in and out past that

    I love the thought process you guys have when deciding what parts to use on a car. I really like how it’s being built to make good numbers but it’s for the street so your not sacrificing the drivability. Super responsive and smooth.

    I love this. This is what YT channels should be doing: using parts that would normally be questionable because they are untested. Anyone channel can go with the most expensive parts and achieve success but they are always the most tested parts and offer no new knowledge. Thanks guys!!

    Love the cast manifold!! Im a huge fan of turblown's cast manifolds for RX-7s and i think the compactness and strength of a cast manifold is perfect for a dual purpose street/track car

    Gigantic intercooler is going to slow response. It adds a large volume in your intake, the opposite of using smaller piping like you are doing.

    Twin scroll isn’t just about peak power. Twin spools faster than single due to efficiency.

      You will find the shorter runners and smaller rear housing more than make up for the loss of the twin scroll setup

      @@Skirk84 that’s true. But I just wanted to point out the entire design of twin is for efficiency not only in peak power but response and spool. It’s why I run twin on my current set up. Dropped my spool by about 700rpm.

      @@mrmidnight32 I'm running twin scroll myself, with a steam pipe manifold. Its the easiest way to do things most of the time, I'm making 26psi at 3000rpm so its nice and responsive. But I've seen comparisons for similar manifolds and shorter runners make a lot of difference, and smaller intercooler pipes will make throttle response much better. I'm looking forward to seeing these results

      Twin scroll response is good, but yeah smaller housings and manifolds make just add much difference.

    Hey pretty cool that you guys are preserving emissions compliance. Steve Dinan was saying on the Smoking Tire podcast that his customers were only losing like 15 whp on a 900 whp BMW when they ran catalytic converters.

    Did you guys exported the voice Chanel of the video in Stereo? Then all the phones with mono speaker can't hear the second half. Export the conversation at vibrant as mono.

    I have had Vibrant 2way cat and resonator on my Ej8 for about 7 years the cat has some dings in the bottom but it all still looks great even in the rustbelt

    Have a very similar FSR cast manifold on my 2J Mk3. I wish I had known there was a Canadian option.

    Manifold looks similar to the SPA manifold which is also designed in Australia. Too bad my EFR didn’t fit so had to upgrade to the s23 manifold. Interested how this thing will sound!!

    My only concern would be cracking from expansion and shearing studs, you can normally get away with a 4 cyl manifold like that but 6 Cylinder manifolds grow so much that they crack between the the runners normally the back two. Fingers crossed it’s all good.

      The Mk3 Supra manifold is a log (looking) manifold like that. They never crack.

      @@Skirk84 only if materials, design and manufacturing align, both welded tube or cast can work, both can fail, it takes good engineering and material science to work for a long period. A lot of manifold design will elongate the stud mounting holes to allow for heat expansion and growth in length which can be more than 15mm, this can shear studs and wear out gaskets, gaps between header flanges can help, grouping the cylinders into two pairs of three with some sort of slip/expansion bellows can help, plus material treatments, remover all stress raisers like sharp corners, edges, abort thickness changes etc, also heat treating and shot peening can help as well.
      The finish of this manifold casting looks good and these sorts of designs can perform very well, I hope it works out well, hopefully any failure(s) will only become apparent after many 10’s of thousands of miles. 👍

    I'm still interested to see how the full-race manifold and garrett turbo do on another car, in a road course application, and not simple drag racing. They tout that the twin scroll aspect really helps with transient response!

    DP…PT…this change in direction in the A80 is clutch…much prefer the throttle response enhancements and minimizing lag over yet another 1000hp Supra Build…as DP knows:

    Not saying the Full Race manifold would have this problem, but the cast one will be a lot more durable than most tubular manifolds as well.

    Can this guy do 1HDT manifolds? they're known for having issues #1 and 6 for not getting enough air on intake and i reckon the exhaust could be more efficient

    You can have both ya know. It's called displacement, compression and variable valve timing. VVTi head on a 3.2 or 3.4 stroker that is setup around 9.8-10.5:1 will spin up a big turbo like butter. It doesn't need to make 40psi to produce 7-800rwhp and a fat, broad torque curve.
    It's certainly not cheap either haha. But neither is an A80.

      Yeah Michael that's what I opted for. Twin scroll 67mm turbo, 3.4L, 850whp at 26psi. Full boost at 3000rpm, and it's just on that verge of being not too laggy. 1 size bigger housing would have killed the build. Its the transient response that's hard to maintain with 70+mm turbos even with a 3.4. Coming out of a corner and feeding on that throttle you don't want any delays!

    Oops. No talkie all walkie. LOL. Vibrant we don't blame you. We blame JDM. Not enough turbo. So what you're wanting is basically exactly what you got from the 335i when you had that. As I've said the N54 335i's and 135i's are the way of the cheap power and yet very driveable power. Awesome cars not just for thew money but period. Now you NEED to build one like this and race them. Go big big power on it not like the other one you did with just a mild 400hp tune or whatever it was but one that's a 700hp tune. YEA BABY YEA!

    Move that lump of the battery to the boot (trunk), will make under bonnet (hood) life easier and battery life easier as well. It’s a massive lump to have out in front of the front suspension 👍

    This issue with having a single wastegate on a vband flanged turbo is boost creep issues. Since turbo design/ technology has grown so much over the years they flow so much better now. So with having a vband flange it flows even more better. People figures oh ok so juat run a larger wg and in theory it sounds better, but it in fact is not. You will have a much easier time controlling boost with two 44mm wg then a say single 50mm.

    Please, measure the pressure in the IC pipes. Sub 3" on a 750 bhp won't work 100%.
    Go 3" in and out from the IC.

    Lol is it CFD optimized for the engine's firing order? If so they should collect at different lengths depending on firing order, some merging at the "collector" Maybe a slightly fancy log manifold.
