If anyone is looking for cheap art supplies Michaels has some decent packs of paint brushes for $5. XL is a good and cheap brand when it comes to sketchpads(cheapest at walmart). I have a lot of acrylic paints and I finished all my watercolors. So I just buy more acrylic paints for less than $1 and just water them down. It works just fine. You do need to water it down a bit. Watercolors aren't so opaque, but since acrylic is opaque you need to add a lot of water..
I started with crummy kids supplies watercolor, moved up to less cheap but still not great craft store watercolor, and am getting my first professional pallete in the mail soon :)
My local one euro shop carries some Daler Rowney Simply stuff and it's really good quality for the price. It's not the best, obviously, but 1.50 for 5 pre-cut sheets of decent watercolour paper isn't bad at all.
My first experience with watercolors were the ones from the dollar store and they were the already dried than activated by basically drowning it in water, back then my mom got it for me and she got this news paper thin paper. Whenever I used it I had to put something under it since it no matter what would stain on my table, and the colors started popping out of the pan. Then later on in my art elective we used watercolors again still the already dried ones but like a singular drop of water would activate it immediately, and I had a mixed media pad (to swatch the colors) and watercolor paper and it was amazing! We recreated the water lillies (forgot by who) and it definitely changed my mind about watercolors!
I love buying my art supplies from Daiso Japan! I got the water colors in a set of 12 tubes for $1.50 and a palette that has space for 20 colors. Their pens are wonderful also as are their mechanical pencils. They have calligraphy supplies, paper crafting items like punches, washi tape, paper cutters and tiny xacto style cutters in a pen. My daughter loves their needle felting supplies and pompom kits.
I've tried many art supplies from Japanese dollar stores (mainly from Daiso), including watercolor, coloured pencil, poster colour, pastels, brushes and a bunch of pens. They are good if u consider their prices. But if u are used to the quality watercolors, u will find the dollar store watercolor is not doing well in blending and sometimes there are small darker colour spots existed on ur drawing. I think that might be becuz there are some insoluble powders inside. Other supplies are still good except for the coloured pencils which are a bit too soft. What amaze me is the pastels!!! I really recommend u to have them cuz they can do soft blending perfectly. The only limitation is that they only have a few colour choices in one box...
For chalky watercolors I recommend using, after the piece is all dried, a Watercolor Varnish so it doesn't fade in time. They do smell, but it's a nice way to preserve your paintings. Hope it helps.

Where's carl ?
?
Gosh, you didn't tell which 100 yen shop that was xD I've never seen watercolors like that in any shop I've been, only that stuff for kids in palettes
TBH, I have no idea, ack! So sorry, I'm a fool for not taking note. I went to a lot of ¥100 shops and only a couple had these paints in them.
I'm seeing some commenters saying daiso has them
I honestly think this is one of my favorite videos of hers I'm love the paints, with them being a cheap alternative, and the results.
i feel like japan is all about quality, everything there is so high quality
CONGRATS! Your Pikachu has been upgraded. 😂😂
In india water proof pens cost 15 cents
Auby Besties they are one of the best
But the value of money in India is higher than the one in North America that’s why😂🤓😇
Auby Besties lol
I love your videos Kasey!! You always make my day! Also, it's great to see another Kasey!!❤️ go Kasey's with a 'K'!❤️
My local one euro shop carries some Daler Rowney Simply stuff and it's really good quality for the price. It's not the best, obviously, but 1.50 for 5 pre-cut sheets of decent watercolour paper isn't bad at all.
The Sakura tube watercolours are normally "matte" which is why they are chalkier and thicker then regular water colour
Is that... Ampheros? Looks amazing!!
And then Infinished the video and got the answer, lmao

I just recently found your channel AND I’M WATCHING ALL YOUR VIDEOS! You’re amazingly talented!
Those colors drew me in and I was not disappointed
Kasey: starts drawing
Me: oh that looks like Ampharos. If it is I’d love it!
Kasey: Continues
Me: OMG IT IS ITS MY FAVORITE POKÉMON!!!
Crayon box: *has white crayon*
White crayon: *I serve no purpose*
I love buying my art supplies from Daiso Japan! I got the water colors in a set of 12 tubes for $1.50 and a palette that has space for 20 colors. Their pens are wonderful also as are their mechanical pencils. They have calligraphy supplies, paper crafting items like punches, washi tape, paper cutters and tiny xacto style cutters in a pen. My daughter loves their needle felting supplies and pompom kits.
I love your videos so much!!!! And your art style is amazing !❤️
At daiso there’s a set of I think 8 watercolor tubes for a $1.50!
Kasey: "It works very well, I'm very impressed can't you tell?"
Me: but that rhyme tho
Take a shot each time she says: “BuT fOR a DOlLaR”
Nobody:
Kasey every 2 seconds: tHey ARe a LiTTle ChAlKy
(This is a joke no hate Kasey! ❤️)
what did you get this art supplies? I live in Japan and I'm very interested! x
"You can hold it!" Always a good point.
Omg I love that little quirky happy yellow dude! It’s so darn CUTE! 🥰
3:00 I use that too , it's from Koi it's so good and gives good highlights and shade to the colour.
How come anything made or bought in Japan is such higher quality then like anywhere else..
What is this witchcraft
In japan they don’t raise prices due to quality because their competitors will have lower prices and they’ll lose business :)
The minimum wage is low, and the cheapest prices get the most buyers.
I GOT POSCA PENS FOR CHRISTMAS!!
Nice I never get Christmas presents
That's sad:(
Oh no that is so sad:(
@@mariajanette6217 it's fine I'm used to it
Anyway Merry Christmas if it even for you and bye :)
