Hey Trev, I’m a high school tennis player, and your lobs are used when you are stretched out by the ball and need time to recover to the back middle. Your drop shots are normally hit when you are closer to the net. That is why your drop shots kept hitting the net, because you were standing too far back.
Need this to be a full series 😢
he won't he has episode of garbage disposal simulator 14 to do 40 episodes on
@@paulmilner8452
Lol Garbage Disposal Simulator 😂
I know I’m late to this but I don’t even like tennis but I LOVE this series so far
That line about Taylor Swift. Game, set, match! 😂
Top Spin Shot - A Flat and Faster shot because the ball skids off the surface quicker
Slice Shot - Opposite of Top Spin Shot. You are now adding Back Spin to the shot so the ball grips and slows down when it hits the surface.
Drop Shot - Soft slow slice or regular shot better to be used when closer to the net to catch opponents off guard and get an easy point.
Volley - Any shot you hit where the ball doesn't touch the ground first.
This series is amazing so far. Thank you Trev. Lookin forward to episode 3.
I love the trash talk to the cpu 😂
My boi learning about tennis and playing on hard makes it entertaining lmao!
Haha, Trev, in doubles you're not allowed to return the serve if you're not the player behind the box they're serving into. Would be sick, but they would automatically get the point if you touch the ball :)
But look at you pick up all the tennis terminology, man! You're soaking up this game!
tips
for drop shots you hit them when you’re infront of the baseline meaning anywhere inside the court to make the opponent run to you then you hit them with overhead or lob shot back to make them run back
slicing is when you’re closer to the net
or when you make them run far behind the baseline and hit a drop shot in the inside boxes after are also clutch
Keep grinding. Love watching you learn and get better at new games.
Trevor, if you can rename your character, you should name him Dirk Swingers!
DIIIRRRKKKK SWWWWIIINNNGGGEERRRRSSSSS!!! 🎾🎾
Hahaha sounds like an adult gatherin
@@lokmexican 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Never played or followed much of tennis but enjoying this series. Enjoying learning more about the sport with ya man
This should be a full series and advice no drop shots
Pro tip, you don’t need to recover to the exact middle (which is called the “T”). Instead recover in between their two best possible angles.
For example if you hit a forehand to the left (also called cross court), you should recover maybe 1ft to the right of the centre T as you opened up the short angle to your right by hitting it cross court. :) hope that makes sense
The slice is a nice change of tempo and actually delivers the ball with more spin and a flatter trajectory. Top spin gives the ball a top spin so when it bounces it comes off much higher. Top spin is great for the harder angled shots and is quite a weapon once you learn it.
Hey Trev, Top spins make the ball spin through the air and then as it hits the floor it repels of off it and it goes really fast. Hoped that helps u understand what a top spin is.
Lob shot is mainly used, if your opponent is close to the net you use lob shot to get the ball over him, drop shot is if he’s on the line and drop a short one just over the net to make him come close to the net
Lets make this a full series I love this game as much as mlb the show!
its funny, cuz playing tennis you can read where the ball is gonna go before they even hit it, so seeing trevor play its common sense to me but to normal person its unheard of. just a weird thing i notice when he plays
Not going to lie….I’ve been waiting and checking for the 2nd part everyday since the last video dropped. Need a full series! 🤞🏾
As a tennis player I will say you’re playing well enough that I’m not cringing like I do when I watch miniminter play this game 😅
This is deff guna be a series… dope game
Each surface plays differently. Grass for example the ball bounces lower but moves faster when the ball is spinning. Top spin and slice shots are good for grass. Grass is a good court to play aggressively towards the net too. Clay is the opposite of grass. Hard is more neutral. Also the lob should only be used when the player is close to the net. And the drop shot works when you've pulled the player to the net and then you can lob.
I'm no expert on tennis but if this is like the older top spin games you should dominate these minor tournaments against nobody opponents. Once you rank up to where your playing real pro tennis players it's like a whole new game.
I'd love to see this series continue. But I also loved your F1 series and mlb series and those always get cut short so I won't hold my breath.
I actually played tennis when I was younger before making basketball my main sport so good to see you play this game. (Forza Horizon 5 has been having some great updates they addend some new races and GT3 cars and even one the won 24hour Laman.) I always have enjoyed your content!
I love to watch all your videos they are amazing
Loving this series
Would love for this to turn into a full series 🥲
Love this series
Yes please make this a series or at least a couple more episodes very fun to watch!
Trev is a real one ❤
Thank you tmart full series please
Love this series!
My favorite new game ! Keep grinding
I just bought this game after watching your videos.
Drop shots are usually used defensively, to take the pace (tempo) out of the rally when you're becoming tired/out of position (Keep in mind it will give them time to power up a shot too). Can use offensively but I don't think your player has the skill stats to perform them at a high enough level for them to work especially from the back court. Using drop shot when closer to the net, will help keeping the shot down if your returning a power shot from them. I'd say try to pay attention to how the computer uses different shots. Often when you've hit a powerful serve they will return using a drop shot so they can try to get back across to cover the cross court shot you play. (Your go to shot that you often set up).
It's remarkable that after all these years, tennis elbow still is the best tennis game out there
lob shots are for when they rush the net, the goal being to lob it up over their heads so they have to retreat
Love the KMag reference lol
please do part three please love you man
Do your drop shots when they are on the baseline to make them chase at the net. And Lob shot for if they are attacking from the net. Slice across court to set up your top spin down the line.
Smack that on the floor is hilarious 😂
please continue, it's fun
Good job man :)
Keep the series going
I promise if u commit to these other sport series like golf, nd f1 alike they are great content keep these types of series going
I am enjoying the games, I'm invested :)
Why do I like this😂
If you use a slice when the ball hits the ground, it changes directions when it bounces
you just figured it out hahahah well played
Love it pls make it a fulls series ❤
i love to play this game back in the day, Sega console. i probably get it for ps4-ps5
From a tennis player you probably don’t want to lob when the opponent is not at the net. Great Video!
You come up close to drop the ball.
For lob is when they push u.
For slice is for the parallel side which is kinda of close to the edge .
And top spin is to increase the speed of the ball by adding a spin to it.
Keep them coming
Use slice when approaching the net, for ground strokes use power shot and topspin, and when the opponent is at the net use lob to get the ball behind him to the baseline. Drop shot is used to pull your opponent to the net when he/she is way behind the baseline. And the effectiveness of the shots i.e. speed and bounce depends on the surface you're playing. Drop shots are the most effective on clay courts.
You need to do the goals on the right of the myplayer screen. Your next status is still new talent. Once you complete the missions you’ll play at better places and see much more cut scenes. You can also upgrade your coach once you completed all his goals. Don’t forget to buy clothes rackets and etc.
Thanks Trevor!
Love the content trev as always!
Just FYI,
a drop shot should be used when the opponent is at the back of the court.
A lob shot is for when there close to the net.
Obviously, there will be exceptions, but this is a good general rule!
Episode 3 please!!
Also Trev do not drop shot when you are not close to the net or else you could end up in the net sometimes it works usually it does not work
GREAT SERIES
I love you're videos
Yesss boy was waiting
use the lobs when the opponent is at the net and use slices/drop shots when your opponent has you running, it slows the play down and gives you a chance to regain your position.
Not a fan of tennis, but this is fun to watch. Wish we could get some 45 minute MLB videos 😁
Idk about the rest but im Orlando Fla but this deserves an series
continue with the series👍
make this a full series please
You use the lob when they are close to the net because it makes them get out of position and when they are off the net you use the drop shot because it makes them work harder because the ball doesn’t go as high as a normal shot
trev, try using different shot varieties and combine them into tactics that help you win the game, always hard hitting the ball often works, why not sometimes use some soft tactics so that you're opponenent can take more errors
Full series def
FULL SERIES!!!!
U never made tennis look so fun. Played in high school gym and thought it was a joke but it's an actual workout!!!
The great gameplay physics is way more important than the graphics 🤔
Make sure to be doing your status challenges in the bottom right hand corner on the menu. Like the bronze targeting challenge
You made me buy this game😅
During that last rally that just happened that's when you want to lob shot to the back
Its call a ralley if play a lot of shots before you score a point
I want to see you grind your way to a Grand Slam win.
Great video 👍👍can you use Pete Sampras thx
Love it!
Serving Demon is a great band name!!
lol this looks sick
Might have to buy it 😂
When the opponent goes close to the net you should try and lob them
Use the lob whenever the opponent attacks the net ❤
When you're on the run alot try slice shots to slow the game down a bit, if you're opponent is up at the net play more lob shots
At the beginning I struggled a lot, I actually didn't enjoy it BUT now (level 6) i am having a lot of fun.
The gameplay is very balanced like i said it took me few Hours to get the right feeling for the Game.
It is the Best Tennis Game out there for sure maybe it is the Best Tennis Game ever... time will tell.
I just came back from Japan lol unfortunately mount Fuji isnt visible from Tokyo😞
This is actually pretty fun to watch
Best use of lob is if the player comes to the net. Anywhere else and he will just smash it back.
Love the series❤
Trevor you planning on playing Arena Breakout PC when it comes out?
A drop shot is for when you are close to the net and they are back by the baseline.
Good Bones, Good bit of stat building , but unlike the Baseball... theres not a lot of variety to be had in this, Baseball You can pitch, hit, play infield, play outfield, and all the management like this.
Slices are to slow the ball down and are used when an opponent sends a smash
Been looking for a good sports game for the PC
The smack that give me some more 😭😂
Don’t do lobs if they are set back in the box, unless they are favoring 1 side heavily
MORE of it game man :D
hit deeper toward the baseline
how u feel about the orlando magic game trev?
