Tips from a tennis player:
• Hit the topspin shots into the corner and then hit a flat shot to the opposite corner.
• try to stay out of the middle of the court where the service line is. Either stay back on the baseline, or move up to the net. Don't stay in no man's land.
• hitting straight down the middle will make it harder for the opponent to generate an angle on their shot. Use that to your advantage.
• after you hit your shots, try to recover to the middle of the court immediately.
You mean a serve volley? 🤔
dont recover to the middle every time. ur clearly not a good tennis player cuz that can get you punished very quickly
also dont hit down the middle. hit corners with good margin.
@@nicksinger-ms2ifso then what should he do? Don’t give criticism and then not offer a solution.
@@nicksinger-ms2if the majority of the time you recover around the middle of the baseline
It’s been so much fun watching someone, who knows nothing about tennis, learn the game and discover how much strategy there is in tennis. Thank you for making these!
This game, denizen & mlb. Perfection
Tip from an avid tennis watcher and former High School Tennis Player:
There are four different court surfaces: Synthetic, Clay, Grass and Hard. These surfaces affect how the ball will bounce. Clay courts tend to make the ball bounce higher where as Grass Courts will make the ball bounce lower. When you play on Grass courts, utilize the Serve & Volley technique if you can.
Actually really loving this series
Have barely ever played tennis, but it’s quite enjoyable watching this series. Cool learning about the game alongside you and seeing how you progress.
I BEEN WAITING FOR EP 4 FOR DAYS ❤️
Clicked so DAMN fast when i got this in the notis box. Thank you TREV!
This is what I have been waiting for! A good UA-camr, playing good games!
The first few video’s I was losing my mind a bit but seeing you start to understand the game is a fun experience. The quickest way to figure tennis out is to go play irl. Tennis is harder to explain then it is to just experience it.
I love this series Trev!
Been waiting all day for this!
Some more tips.
• if you're going to try to run him back and forth like you are, try to hit cross court with your shots. You'll get more angle. So if you're hitting your forehand, you should typically go to the left side of their court, and vice versa with a backhand.
• pay attention to the movement of the opponents racket when they hit. If they swing down like they're chopping a piece of wood, the ball isn't going to bounce far, so that might help you from missing those shots.
To put it in baseball terms; you’re hitting everything to the opposite field and losing power.
This series is fun man! Keep it up
Loving this series.
Trevor, at least this game you can swing at everything, not like baseball. Lol
HECK YESS❤ love u Trev. Much love to you and yours
A couple of tips for ya Trev:
When your hitting it back to the corners you should hit it to the same corner once in a while to throw their rhythm off, like how they score points against you by going to the same corner and you’re not expecting it. Also you gotta notice the ratings on their forehand and backhand and attack their weaker side, make them make the mistakes and you capitalize on it. Love the series and keep it up, we love this game!
Haven’t watch in a while but I’m so happy you know where no man’s land is at now keep it up. 👍🏾
bro i love your videos man
Hey Trev. I love your videos! Your walkthroughs of MLB the Show have made me like and follow baseball.
Thank you for this video exactly what I needed
I've been waiting for this episode.
This content is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 keep it coming bro!!
keep doing this series trev!!
you want to push up when the opponent is struggling to get it back accurately. so when you hit a good shot to the corner and they return you should be at the net to put a good angle on the high soft return. Watching u play this brings me back to my highschool days and i miss it. Thanks for taking a chance with a new game and enjoying it. love this series!
Hey man you got this playing the good game on hard I respect that I've seen somebody throughs I'm not impressed but with you I love your work man keep it up
trevor you should watch some tennis strategy videos and grunting always helps
if you get a short ball hit it hard down the line and go to the net
You make the best gaming content bro, please keep going.
Excellent rally, those are fun. I always hit top spin until I have an opening, then a power flat shot or even a trickery drop just over the net.
Denizen and this game are so good love the series
I don't know if you use an advance serve, but if you don't,
try to practice and use it. Mastering advance serve will make a big change to your game.
15:23 Never celebrate too early this is the verdict lol 😂😂😂
Really enjoying this series and seeing you learn and enjoy Tennis. Think the best thing is to focus on timing, there were plenty of points you would have won but having bad timing on the shots allows tour opponent back into the point.
For your positioning, returning back to the centre isn’t always the best option. The position you return to should be based on the opponent, where they are and what they can do from that position. Returning to the centre isn't always the best choice. It they're in the middle, it makes sense to stay centered. However, if you've pushed them out wide to one side, it’s best to adjust your position slightly to the opposite side. Them hitting the ball back cross court is the percentage shot and they’ll have a better angle to hit it further wide cross court from that position meaning there’s more space to cover on the opposite side. Whereas if they hit the ball down the line, the ball will be coming into the court, not away, and there’s less of an angle for your opponent to work with so less of that side needs to be covered. So positioning yourself to the oppsite side would be positioning yourself in the centre of all potential shots your opponent can hit.
When approaching the net, aim to approach on short balls near the middle and hit down the line to limit your opponent's angles (left with your backhand and right with your forehand) and follow the path of the ball, that you just hit, into the net. This is so when you approach you don’t give your opponent a good angle to hit the ball around you. I’d recommend either a slice or flat shot, so the ball stays low and making them hit up on the ball and makes your volley easier.
If you hold R1 as you hit your shot your player will start running forward towards the net so makes it easier to get to the next quickly. Square is control volley so makes it easier and less likely to miss based on bad timing.
I just got this game yesterday, and man, it really is hard! Excited to learn more tho!
Love this series. Also want denizen episode 2!!!
The matches on hard are soooo much better and realistic. Love these vids
Love these episode need more
Trev when we going to up the drip game lol
Everyone have a good day
These closer/harder matches are much more entertaining to watch then you blowing them out every single time lol
Tennis must be one of the most rage inducing sports ever. And clearly this translates to the game also. I've never seen you get mad Tmar but I totally sympathise! It's an incredibly frustrating sport...for some reason!
I honestly would never have thought to play this game and now I need it 😂
9:46 AYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO🤣🤣
I think you could stand to utilize reverse shots more, meaning when you get them moving one way and you see them start to reset, hitting it back the way they came from often is unstoppable. The AI was abusing these shots on you the first couple of videos. Love the content man !
Use the right analog stick for some power serves! Pull down to throw the ball up and push forward to hit. The faster you flick forward the harder the serve (it seems). It takes some practice but it's rewarding when you start hitting some aces!
Lol something so primal that watching a ball getting hit back and fourth is so satisfying to me. Nice series
I think the balls that keep messing you up are backspin hits. When they land, the backspin stops the momentum and quickly bounce twice. Like a curveball or chaneup, last second it breaks and you miss it cause you think it's going to be somewhere else
another tip if you see the opponent doing a chopping motion its a slice will bounce lower so you want to move up on it more the slice are the ones your letting bounce twice
Hey Trev, when you hit a shot to the back corner, come to the net and play a volley to the opposite corner. This will also stop you getting caught out by the shots that don't reach you.
Tips that i follow:
1. I hit a full length to the corner, then again hit top spin to the same side , but mid court short. This way the opposite player would move further to that side giving you more space in the opposite side.
2. After you force a player to one side, you can drop shot to the opposite side.
3. Or you can mid court shot to opposite side with extra spin.
4. While serving you can serve fast to his body, that would restrict the opp player and would give you a simple shot. You can drop short to other side or full court opposite side.
5. If you want to serve to the sides then slow serve adding extra spin, that way you have more space to the other side.
6. It is better to force shots to one side continously then as your 3rd or 4th shot change side full court shot.
7. Check your opponents weakness. Some are not good with forehand or backhand. Take advantage of that. If a player is defensively good then you have to be technical by placing the shots and making him rum around court
Yo trev I just want say your insane uploading every 2 days and your getting married I thank this or next month
the thumbnail 🤣🤣
The most important thing is that Your have funn playing Trevor. whether it's on Normal or Hard doesn't matter to me, love the videos
You can try the slice serve when serving to the right instead of to the corner
*playing the #1 US player* "He's decent"
Joking aside, it is actually really fun watching you get into tennis and learning the strategy, etc. Love the attitude you bring to it, too.
when opponent is on the baseline to get him out of position you want to do some drop shots with back spin close to the net. also when you are behind the baseline dont wait for the ball to come to your racket, its good to move close up the court towards ball it which make your shots more aggressive.
Are you allowed time outs to get your composer back and stamina replenished? Fun to watxh
15:26 Hard setting about to make Trevor lose his mind
7:56 scissor missing 😂❤
Keep it up
Dont be affraid of the net but if you are uncomfortable with it then sit more right on the service box line and punish them when they are tired.
you want to push up anytime u think hes not looking at u. u can catch him just trying to recover and put a much better angle on the return when ur close to the net.
Trev if you can, you should try out Outlaw tennis has a bit of craziness to it
AWESOME Game
Damn you can buy houses !? Did not know that !
im not 100 percent sure if this is why, but I think the reason the balls are slowing down when they bounce is because when you hit a slice you're putting backspin rather than topspin so the ball hits the court with backspin, and slows down. just pay attention to the slices and what kind of shots he's hitting.
I’d recommend abusing controlled shots (pressing instead of holding desired button in green zone), making AI run side to side, then a power shot to finish the point, all while using reposition to better place your player for better shots. Also, utilize drop shots (RT/R2) to your advantage. I stuck my player (in year 2) in ATP 1k and somehow beat Andy Murray 😂 . But I did used to play tennis irl so I have an advantage 😅
When you’re up close and your opponent is back hit him with that drop shot.
Trev, don’t always hit the ball to the opponents opposite side. Switch it up and go back to the same side he was previously on to keep the opponent off balance. Also, look at your opponents stats, if they are weak in the backhand, hit the majority of your shots to his backhand to negate his strengths and force unforced errors.
Trev, you always go left-right-left-right--Try going back to the same side a few times then cut shot to the opposite side.
You got to continue this series till you can play in the majors. We need that AO shirt in the Australian Open.
We need more denizen vids please
TmarTn Tennis 🎾 lost hit different than other sports games. Its like losing a championship
Hey Trev you should give fallout another go around since the new Series just came out.
When you topspin to a corner and he is deep, you gotta come to the net and hit to the other corner so they don't have time to chase it down.
Clay courts those that are orange are affected by slice shots they bounce and drop they dont travel
Also you don’t always have to hit rhe ball left then right then left them right, etc. You can trick him and hit one left them hit it again left, making him unbalanced
Love itttt
We need denizen bro
Tip:-
- Hit a drop shot when you are in the no mans land or close to the net
- (not a tip, just letting you know) the ball doesn't bounce when the opponent slices the ball
You played good. It’s the first time I heard you cuss
Stamina and power should be your main power ups, stamina is the most important attribute in the game, if affects everything, most importantly, your shots
You need to volly more. Youre getting them into the corner and theyre hitting them back shallow but youre not coming forward.
You’re sitting back even when you have the advantage. You need to push up slightly to give an advantage in returns
Trevor you should always stay on the white line where you serve behind unless you want to volley and rush the net
Court martin, dubois is good on dirt court, you good on solid court
Trev you don't "Wait for the ball" you have to attack it. Unless you are getting bombarded by power shots you have no reason to wait for it. Whenever you wanna be the one who sends power shots you must go forward on the ball and attack it
bro just want to compliment you on your talent. to have almost 5 and 1/2 million subs and suck at games that bad is impressive.
So the shots against you that just die after hitting are slices. Look for a downward swing and you'll know to run up on the ball.
Leave it on hard. Tennis is best when it's a struggle. It brings out a lot of emotion and is so much more satisfying. I want to see what very hard looks like. It's like the developers know the harder it is the better.
22:22 the cpu is forcing you to use your backhand to create time to reposition themselves 😅
any denizen coming again soon???
I rlly wanna get this game but I think it’s quite expensive do you guys think it’s worth getting
When are we gonna see more of the denison life simulator game?
Use the drop shot when you're at the net and they are back
8:43 good luck with that tax rate
Still waiting for denizen episodes 2
WHEN YOU PLAY POWER PLAYERS TRY TO WORK A DEEP SLICE SHOT BACK TO BUY MORE TIME FOR REPOSITIONING
U essentially need to learn how to position your player for forehand and backhand shots. U wanna use slices with your backhand and topspin with your forehand and overhead. Drop shot is a precession shot ... When ur doing the drop shot your putting too much power on it. It should just bounce once right before the net ... Opposite of how you want your lobs
