I Finished The Longest Sekiro Challenge Run - [118 Hours]

- As you can see, this is basically a max difficulty no upgrade run. I did however allow myself to use skills and upgrade prosthetics. This is because those mechanics are fun and I wanted a few more things to do than sit and parry for 40 straight minutes every single boss attempt (The Father Owl and Demon of Hatred fights were literally 40 mins apiece). Some of the other fights from the run (nicknamed the aids run) are highlighted on my twitch channel. I may post them here someday. Regardless, the margin of error in these fights are very slim, a partial parry 90% of the time will result in death. I think probably half of the 118 hours I put into this run was spent on 5 or 6 bosses (Headless Ape reeeeee).

Bro the challenge starts so easy, basically a normal playthru. Then past the halfway point you just start doing negative damage at some point lmao
there is literally no other song you could finish that boss to. truly a dad rock blessing.

There's no way I could do this while streaming also if I were to stop the fight to change the music game over. Anything that disrupts my tempo will generally cause me to lose a run.

At first watching this I was like “nah ok how is it that bad without upgrades?” Then I saw the posture/ health damage. Or lack thereof
Id say the hardest part is the posture dmg dealt to the player. Your posture is constantly at max so If you partial parry once you get instantly posture broke and die because of base HP.
Think of it like "how long can I play flawless" Owl and DOH are straight up 40min fights of flawless.
I think Genji respawning (in terms of a normal run) is actually cool. As in, to get good at/ have a chance at beating isshin, you’ve gotta be able to fucking kick genichiros ass
there was actually some really cool hidden dialogue in this fight recently uncovered if you revive two (three?) times vs him.
You have to DB him to refresh your revive, then don't take the finisher and then let him kill you again and revive.

@@WheresTheSauce I feel like I could crush it of I can get a fucking stable frame rate. Deadass bloodborne is like a river of butter compared to what my cpu has been stroking out on sekiro

This was incredible entertaining, not to mention impressive! If I might ask, on Isshin's wide sweep in phase 2, why do you dodge through it? Is it for the vitality damage? I ususally just jump on his bald head on that attack

@@loopine Understandable. Again, this was super impressive. I hitless isshin for the first time a couple of weeks back and i felt like a god, watching this dragged me right back to earth. Gonna use this opportunity to also thank you for the joseph anderson video, i've had a lot of problems with it for months, and you basically laid them all out in a single video, great stuff! I finished my own challenge run not too long ago and finished at 56 hours, and long contemplated upping the challenge with AP1 or not, i can gladly conclude after this video im not touching AP1 in my dreams. Seeing the Geni phase take 4 minutes of near perfect gameplay just to have a chance with isshin is mind-bending, i am really glad however that sabimaru gets to shine here as its such a cool (albeit underpowered) tool. ggs
Yea we had to do some testing to realize lazulite sabimaru does alot more poison buildup than improved, even without the poison cloud. There was a streamer by the name of spiral_out I believe doing this run at the same times as me, but he was trying to do it deathless apparently. Idk if that's true or if he got it but that would be the goat of all runs. Someone had mentioned him to me and I never checked him out unfortunately
Oh and yea with attack power 1 DoH was a 30 min fight and Father Owl I had failed attempts that were over the 40 min mark. I'm actually gonna upload some old footage of Owl, the DoH footage got corrupted :(
Also Headless Ape becomes a nightmare because you can't nuke his gf on spawn
@@loopine what a small world spirals one of the top runners in our sekiro discord the dude is absolutely insane hes been running ng7 ap1 since 2021. sabi was so cool to see but i was also sur[rised with the versatility the nightjar it makes sense tho because its not like your gonna do dmg anyway 😂

Nah this was before my pc could handle recording so I used to download stream vods which would get copyright strikes from music. The demon of Hatred fight got corrupted but the father Owl fight is on my youtube and that's the only other one
