After resetting, it put me into the Title screen, where Mario fell to death. After that, i heard the Music of the Special world and did another reset. Wierd music and after turning the SNES off and on, every savefile was gone. I recorded up to this point and never made another LP video. Only god knows, what would happen, if I do another recording.

I guess the "dying on title screen" would be a cool feature as long as the title screen sequence was very long, so that mario dies in the end. Then the player would be able to play the title screen just for fun. It would be like a little "bonus" for the long time watching mario :>

Don't forget shooting a breeze with the mail man, falling asleep, loosing your pants, cleaning your kitchen, pacing, feeding your snail, and setting your house on fire. You do not want to see any of that, trust me.

It's interesting how many things done on the titlescreen will stop music. And what's with it playing the special stage music in certain conditions? I'm not even sure if that's a game bug or an emulator bug. (Unless you're using bsnes and enjoy having a modern gaming rig to play SMW...)
While in the Overworld Editor,click on "File",then click on "Title Screen",click on "Load Title Screen",then start editing,and to save click on "File",then "Title Screen",then "Save Title Screen".

He's only pointing out what most people don't really want to see in a ROM hack. I don't really think something with Random Characters everywhere or maybe a large flat land would look good.
I don't really see an issue with an unchanged title screen. Nowadays, not many people use ZSNES, so they can't record their own moves. What would not be nice is if somebody just boxed Mario in a 1 tile space and you could still see him attempt the moves. I know a lot of mods that have caught that and have suggested leaving in the original title screen just to avoid awkwardness.

Unchanged title screen will not get your hack rejected but it's generally frowned upon as it shows the author didn't bother making a new one. If you're not good at making title screens, a simplistic one showcasing a random level from the hack is still better than an unchanged one. But yeah, level design is more important.
