  • I bought the Ruitool and Steadi Nippers from amazon and put them to the test against the GodHand Nippers. Do they belong in your stash or are they trash?

Coincidentally these were the two nippers I was looking for comparisons on and searched rui vs stedi. Perfect video for my needs.

Hey just wanted to thank you. This video is a comparison between the three nippers I want to get really helped me inform my decision.

Thanks for taking the time and showing this comparison! I have a cheap pair for cutting from the main sprue and then use my Tamiya for close contact. I have also been having good results with the snippers that look like tweezers though not good leverage for easy cutting.

Thanks for this review. Ballsy trying on those clear parts though!

Im definitely going to need an update. I bought some nippers of another recommendation and have not been happy with them. They don't cut as well as the 5 for 12 I got from China. So they are going back to Amazon. Would like to see if either of these 2 are worth the purchase.

Cutting clear parts with godhand is how you break your godhand blades. Learned this from thinking it was bs where it was on the packaging. 😭
This is why I was looking for a comparison in the first place. Lol

Weird. Fingers crossed, I have never broken a nipper.

Bought the 16$ ruitool and a 35$ pair of Stedi's MS-109 "Ultimate," nippers, for roughly the same price as a pair of godhands. The stedis are only slightly below Godhands in terms of cut quality. The ruitool is excellent as well, but it isn't as sharp as the Stedi, so it does leave MINOR stressing. I'm sure after a bit of sanding and polishing you probably wouldn't be able to tell which nib was cut with ruitool or stedi, let alone godhand.

Interesting review Cameron. I’m very curious to see how the Stedi nippers perform over time.
Amazon has Tamiya 123 for about the same price as the Stedi ones you reviewed, and I’d be curious about your thoughts on the Tamiya ones (if you have them/have used them).

I typically use the tamiya nippers. I got 2 and use one for removing excess junk and whatnot while doing custom gunpla and the other for nipping sprue. Unless you are planning on displaying gunpla without painting or just topcoating then i don't think it matters if you have Godhand cutters.

Interesting comparison Cameron! I keep hearing the godhand ones are awesome but quite fragile. Obviously like any tool you got to use them the right way to have them last. I am using the thin blade nose tamiya ones as well as the xuron ones and i can’t say i can complain but every since i got the godhand chisels and saw the quality firsthand I’ve been very much wanting to get the nippers! Thanks for the vid. What are you building btw

This a question i have trouble finding the answer for and it is what type of oil do you generally use to clean your nippers i have bought the ruitool for beginner nipper and i am starting to see a small bit of rust, so i want to know which is reccomened oil for nippers😅

Never had to pull my nippers. It is dry here. I imagine any oil would do. I would try gun oil as I have some around.

I use $6 jewelry side cutters from Wally world. I did use my craftsmen dikes for a while but they were rather large. They aren’t the greatest… but they were $6. I’m new to the hobby. It’s an expensive hobby 😂

I feel like god hands are extremely overated. I think your video shows that. Also, always cut away from your body. I was waiting for that exacto to pop through the plastic and land into your thumb.
