People going through multiple nippers per year. You know that with some care you can sharpen these things and adjust them to cut better than new right? Learn to sharpen with the "scary sharp" method. I've taken really cheap wire cutters that are next to useless and made them cut beautifully with a dremnel and some sand paper. Give it a go, you can even sharpen disposable hobby knife blades if you're feeling really cheap. (They aren't that sharp when new, i sometimes give the new ones a quick hone)

Hey there! Great question! I personally haven't had any issues using them on ABS, I know ABS plastics in Non-Bandai kits can have different properties, so I will answer the question like this: in terms of Bandai kits, it's safe to use the DSPAIEs on them. For Companies making their own Mecha kits, I can't say for all, but I have used them on the Infinite Dimension Genesis without issue. In terms of a two-cut method, that'll be the best method for ensuring they last a long time! I hope this answers your question. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. 😁

Hey, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm still using the same god hands from the video even over a year later. There are a few things that I've seen that causes breaks. One, cutting too high up on the blade. If you cut near the tip, you risk flexing the blade which is not good and can cause it to eventually break. It's on the instruction sheet that comes with the nippers now. Two, cutting clear plastic. Clear plastic is different from the regular plastic of gunpla kits. It's stronger, so these nippers don't work and can break if used repeatedly on harder plastic. Three, twisting the nippers during the cut. If you are turning your hand at all, you are again putting tension on the blade that it isn't intended to handle. This one is also on the care sheet that you should have gotten with these nippers. I've found that God hands don't break that easily unless misused, and it sucks that you lost that much money on tools. I do hope your new nippers work out for you and keep these in mind when using those as well.
@@PlamoTherapist I’ve been building for years I even bought the god hand nipper cleaners and cleaned them up after every use i know not to twist while cutting and to always cut in the middle of the blade part I use to use hobby lobby nippers and Mr hobby nippers back then until I heard and found out about godhand I paint airbrush the whole works the red one failed horrible the spring popped out on its own one day out of nowhere my own experience the USA gundam lasted me the longest 31 years old going on 32 been building since I was 15 years old still going strong to this day I tend that hard to believe based on my experience and I still have them sitting in my bench work shop just collecting rust
Don’t know when you bought yours but Godhand changed the metal they made their nippers from years ago. Those ones from before the change are way better for a pair that been through hundreds of Gunpla, ships, planes, and cars.
I'm on my second pair of God Hands because the blade stop backed out unknowingly and allowed the blade to break half way to the hinge after 36 days and two MG kits. My second pair has been preset and i applied blue threadlocker as a precaution to prevent it from backing out until I need it to move. I have both the ST-A and the new ST-X Dspiae nippers coming in soon so hopefully they'll last a lot longer than a month 😅
Very informative a d impartial video, in my opinion. I’ve not used the Dispiae nippers, so I cannot tell the difference with my Godhand ones, but I’m tempted to buy a pair od Dispiae to give them a try.
I will not hesitate to buy God hand sanding sponges. Especially the block shaped ones. Perfect hardness, long lasting sand paper. But I cannot fathom spending money on their nipper. For that price the nipper should cut and sand the nub marks to oblivion. But it doesn't. You'll still need to clean up after, why get anything more than a cheap well made nipper. Doesn't even have to be dspiae. Don't buy for the brand people, but the effectiveness of individual products.
Yes and no. When you hear someone mention GodHand you know they're talking about quality products. From their nippers, to their drill bits, to their sanding sponges, you know that what you are buying will perform better than other companies out there, especially ones that aren't catering to our hobby. They have built that reputation of quality and are no different from tool companies for trades like Ryobi, DeWalt, or Milwaukee; just specific to Gunpla and plamo. 😁 Are they the absolute best at everything? Probably not, but it's a name you know that won't let you down if you're ever not sure.
@@PlamoTherapist thats kind of what I mean when I say you buy them for the name. The same reason I buy Snap-On and Mac tools as a mechanic. They are the giants in their industry that have established themselves as synonymous with quality, but are by no means the pinnacle of their field. I personally use the Dspiae nippers and I couldn’t be happier with them. I have no doubts that the GodHand product will perform just the same, I just can’t justify double the price for that small edge they have over the competitors.
That was the reason for this comparison. I'm still going strong a little over a year in and so far they're still competitive. I'll do a follow up once something significant happens. 😁 DSPIAE is in a tough spot being compared to such a giant in the industry, but they are absolutely holding their own! 10/10 would recommend their products! 😁
Sorta. The legendary hype around them? Different nippers. You can’t buy the ones that built the Godhand reputation. Those are the SPN-120S. The ones you’ve only been able to buy since late 2014 are the SPN-120. I cannot stress this enough, there was no contest. The newer SPN-120 have competition, the SPN-120S were a head vice their younger brother.
There are much cheaper nippers that probably do as good a job. However I do love Japanese tools so I do get the attraction. I bought some Japanese nail clippers once. My god they are good.
There probably are! If I ever hear rumors about some I'll definitely give them a go, but for now, these seem to be the best choice as far as I know. Thanks for watching! 😁😁😁

My second pair has been preset and i applied blue threadlocker as a precaution to prevent it from backing out until I need it to move. I have both the ST-A and the new ST-X Dspiae nippers coming in soon so hopefully they'll last a lot longer than a month 😅
ive been using ordinary nail cutter and the result of that two
seems morea wfull
Very informative a d impartial video, in my opinion. I’ve not used the Dispiae nippers, so I cannot tell the difference with my Godhand ones, but I’m tempted to buy a pair od Dispiae to give them a try.

Mahalo Nui! 😁😁😁😁
You buy GodHand for the name in my opinion.
Are they the absolute best at everything?
Probably? Would like a lot of trial and error AKA more money spent.
Nippers!!!
🤦🤦🤦 I love you too. 🤣🤣🤣
Too bad this is a fake website.
Great video, we made tutorial videos on how to make cleaner cuts using single-edged nippers. Come check'em out, they'll save you a lot of clean up time in the future.
