I listen to this song in memory of my best friend Jason. I hadn't heard from him in about 2 months, so I typed in his name, and his obituary came up, he died, I miss him dearly, he had every Wishbone Ash album
Saw them open for The Who in 1971, one of the best nights of pure rock I’ve ever experienced. Argus is one of the great, under appreciated albums of all-time..
WISHBONE ASH "ARGUS" was a great Album! Where every song was a smash hit as far as i was concerned! My oldest brother bought me this album for Xmas in 1972 , who i had never heard of until then. One song later i was hooked and still am today, and love every tune on that album. They became a huge success after the release of there Double Live Album that came out in 1974-75 .... I swear literally every one i knew or met had the Live album! Thanks Wishbone Ash for all the great times and memories God Bless
Yes, you're so right; everyone had the live album. Time was has always been my favourite Wishbone Ash song. I think its got to be the brilliant way the guitars create such wonderful changes in tempo.
I listen to this in memory of my best friend Jason. I hadn't heard from him in a while, so i typed in his fb name and his obituary came up. I was shocked. I remember going to his house.. he was quite the audiophile. About 10 feet of albums. ( we sometimes go by how tall in feet our stack of albums are) he had every Wishbone Ash album there was.. i miss him..
Saw them live in Brassy's on Cocoa Beach 1980-81. They played most of Argus and all of my favorites, audience requests as well - pure magic. I didn't want the show to end. Amazing live talent.
Great show last night, 3/3/22, @ The Des Plaines Theater (Illinois). The lads can still bring it! They’ve polished their sound to a perfectly clean diamond. Thank you, gents. Rock-on, Road Warriors!
I know original member only a Andy pawell . before before I want to play long Ms. John Wettone! number the brave album(m aby) today this stop! seriously you again nextday! thankyou! over-
Saw two of their concerts in Chennai in the early 80s with Trevor Bolder on bass,Steve Upton on drums and Laurie Wisefield on guitar and off course Andy Powell .This was one of the songs they did and they had the Chennai crowds mesmerized ,truly a great live performance band.
Saw them a few years ago at a 100 seat bar in St. Pete. Fl. One of the best experiences of my life. I've loved them from the first time I heard the 1st album in 70.
I saw them last year they were fantastic Andy Powell what a great guitar player. I own at least 23 of their and they're all great my favorite. Is the Laurie Weiss field.. I'm about 76 to the early 80s
I remember seeing these guys playing at Stockport Polytechnic back in 71 or 72. My mate was related to Andy Powell and somehow got a whole bunch of got tickets. Great concert! Everyone was high and the cops didn't really give a toss. Good times......good times!!
Interesting lesson in the use of cymbals in the beginning, using the sticks with pluche, using them vertically, using them in such a way not to break the edges etc.
this song was from private audition(album) maybe) heart😊word have positive . bright. and honesty! I think ! and the lyric too wonderful because I read Japanese parallel version. I feel many about love songs. and philosophy songs. this night hear stop! this MoriKawa /Japan thank you# see you again next night! over-
Great! Can anybody fill me in on the lineup here? Andy P, obviously. Maybe Laurie Wisefield, but there are people here who play wonderfully well, but who are a mystery to me....
Great upload. But my opinion still is: Wishbone Ash is not Wishbone Ash without Martin, Ted, Laurie or/and Steve. This is Andyś Wishbone, but Wishbone Ash are gone since years. Andy please get your mates back in the band !
Time Was 1974 when I was aficionadoed to The Ash. They never left my heart. I'm still Blowin Free like the cornfield.
My favorite Ash tune out of all the great songs they ever did from probably their greatest album, "Argus."
Absolutely
On release in 72, you cleaned the needle from fluff and dust and played Ash constant, it was simple, one of the best albums ever
I listen to this song in memory of my best friend Jason. I hadn't heard from him in about 2 months, so I typed in his name, and his obituary came up, he died, I miss him dearly, he had every Wishbone Ash album
I still do
Saw them open for The Who in 1971, one of the best nights of pure rock I’ve ever experienced. Argus is one of the great, under appreciated albums of all-time..
I still have the original album. Those were great old times. Great band!

Jailbait is my favorite tune by them, but Argus was a monster album - and many songs of theirs are favorites of mine.

Brilliant work and the live version proves it. Andy fades back and brings out the legenday V to rock us properly! Priceless!
Argus.... Was brilliant. "Time Was" and still is. I miss you John, every day.
What a great band they were! Sends shivers down my spine listening to "time was" live.
Das Lied erschien elf Jahre vor meiner Geburt, ich war sicher schon auf 30 Konzerten von WA. Qualität setzt sich durch!
Saw them live in Brassy's on Cocoa Beach 1980-81. They played most of Argus and all of my favorites, audience requests as well - pure magic. I didn't want the show to end. Amazing live talent.
Andy Powell is a great guitarist he is sadly overlooked
Absolutely bloody glorious...long live The Ash!
Great show last night, 3/3/22, @ The Des Plaines Theater (Illinois). The lads can still bring it! They’ve polished their sound to a perfectly clean diamond. Thank you, gents. Rock-on, Road Warriors!
How sweet is this after so many years! Argus is a great album but live is the true Ash vibe! So sweet!
THIS IS REAL ROCK N ROLL DONT GET ANY BETTER LOVE WISHBONE ASH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you to Andy and band for continuing to bring this great music to the masses. Roll back the mileage....when time was much better for us all.

I have always loved this song. This is a wonderful performance!
Great, great song. Argus is one of the best rock albums of all time. As good now as it was then. Great memories.
Solvang Santa 1972 Fort Lauderdale Florida 64 years old and they still sound great thank you those were good times back then
The hardest working band in show biz. They gig almost every night for the last 40 years.
Had never heard this tune done live, well done, Mates! Bass sounds very good!
from japan This song is one of the most special songs in the argus repertoire, and it hasn't faded a bit since I first heard it over 40 years ago.
I discovered Wishbone Ash when I was in my 40s - a bit late. I've been missing out on some great music for a long time! Love this!
I ONLY DISCOVERED THEM A FEW YEARS AGO AND I'M 63!!
Saw them a few years ago at a 100 seat bar in St. Pete. Fl. One of the best experiences of my life. I've loved them from the first time I heard the 1st album in 70.

I remember seeing these guys playing at Stockport Polytechnic back in 71 or 72. My mate was related to Andy Powell and somehow got a whole bunch of got tickets. Great concert! Everyone was high and the cops didn't really give a toss. Good times......good times!!
Just seen Wishbone Ash perform Argus for the 50th anniversary..great stuff. They provided an added bonus by playing Jailbait..seguaing into Phoenix
Magical stuff!
band is sounding fabulous... God love these guys... diggin' andy's pipes... best harmony guitars - they wrote the book..
Awesome beyond words. Thanks for this video. I truly appreciate. :)
Just love this live version. Thanks for sharing. Just saw them in Seattle recently. Good show but disappointed they didn't play this.
IMHO, the Best Live performance Band Ever......
I hope they tour the U.S. & come to S. Florida. My kind of show!
Debbie Edwards deel pure
Wonderful.... Just think, that piece is over 40 years old now, and still cuts it with anything written today, just ear candy :)
Mark Farner Oh ya ! And so were you ! Loved your Survival Album ! .I still listen to it!,,
You are awesome to acknowledge this one. I always share your Railroad rendition too. Timeless anthems.
Magnificent! Definitely better than the music of today!
Loved every lineup since the beginning!
Beautiful.
Magic, Hope to catch You in Swindon Art Centre October please! Covid19 f. Off
Andy and WBA invented the dueling/hamarmonic guitar jam. WTF? He and Laurie W are guitar gods that should go down forever in rock and roll history!
Master musicians,yes.
Yeah and Ted Turner .too
great band
i Just love this song....for 35 years...
Interesting lesson in the use of cymbals in the beginning, using the sticks with pluche, using them vertically, using them in such a way not to break the edges etc.
Wow!! fantastic music.......
sehr schön............wie damals............habe ich live gesehen..........
Saw them at an outdoor gig in 2010 - we were pressed against the front edge of the stage.
Thhey just don't make wonderful music like this anymore. Wore out a few Wishbone Ash records back in the seventies.

Super !!!!
First time I have seen this vid or heard this song, thanks for posting, its is epic
rien a redire ils sont a leur meilleur , no match!
Someone finally uploaded this. thanks..
UK's answer to Allman Bros twin guitar attack. Just as effective and face melting . The guitarists complement each other rather than compete
They were there before the Allmans. They lead the way in twin guitar leads.
Always Excellent live.
This lineup smoked, saw them 3 times.
It's nicely played, but if this is Wishbone Ash then I hope to get to see the Beatles later this year.
Saw them play in Leeds in 1973, they were awesome. Sorry, this is a poor replication. They weren't the same live after Ted Turner left the band.
this song was from private
audition(album) maybe) heart😊word have positive .
bright. and honesty! I think ! and the lyric too wonderful
because I read Japanese parallel version. I feel many

Great upload. But my opinion still is: Wishbone Ash is not Wishbone Ash without Martin, Ted, Laurie or/and Steve. This is Andyś Wishbone, but Wishbone Ash are gone since years. Andy please get your mates back in the band !
About as much chance as Oasis reforming.
Argus Not Argos 😂😂😂
Thanks R River. Can anyone tell me the line up playing here?
Andy Powell, Bob Skeat, Ben Granfelt and Ray Weston on drums.
wahnsinn
Я насолоджуюсь цією музикою.
I dunno. Still think the ORIGINAL Wishbone Ash were better.☹️
QC
Барабанщик клёвый ... остальное , так себе ...
I saw them at the UEA in about 1970. Great live but lyrically poor.
So much better off without that arrogant Martin Turner defacing Andy Powell
Beautiful.
Exactly
