Welcome to Lyngen

- Last spring we turned our heads and skis towards the Lyngen Alps. With our ambassadors Nikolai Schirmer, Merrick Johnston, and Asbjørn Eggebø Næss, we went in big to shoot the new ski touring collection in it’s natural and breathtaking habitat. Without spilling the beans, the shoot delivered more than we asked for - in multiple ways.
For everyone that’s in for a mission of their own this season, we’re pretty confident that our mini-doc from the trip is time well spent.
lyngen, made for a mission. For the gear: www.norrona.co...
Best outdoor gear there is for me. Been using it for 30 years. Had a bike accident with my Trollveggen jacket that ripped the whole arm. They changed the whole arm and sendt it to me for 125 NKR (12 USD) Back in the 90s. And they still do the repairs fairly cheap. 7 years warranty. Would be stupid to buy a different brand. Kudos for the best gear on the planet. And no; I Ain´t working for them. I´m a Norwegian though.
Great film! I loved how it showed the real danger and decision making process on the mountain
Jealous but happy for all! Just got back into skiing after 20yrs off. Almost 40yrs old now. Wish I wouldve stayed with it longer. Looks like a dream come true to have skills and knowledge to have these adventures in life! Thank you for sharing. Beautiful!
By far the best video made by Norrona!
Great video!
Finally one that captures more on the aspect of mountaineering and touring (although nowhere near thoroughly).
Too many tourists die in Norway each year not knowing what winter (or easter) really is like and as a result how to handle it.
She rocks!
This is an amazing video. Pure joy to watch.
Awesome video. Loved the fact that there is some very relevant input about mountaineering!
Best cloth commercial I've ever seen ;)
Thank you for sharing the real side of going up and skiing in the mountains.
MARAVILLOSO REPORTAJE, CON UNA GRAN FOTOGRAFIA --BRAVO.
Beautiful film work!
Amazing! Strong team! Beautiful landscapes!
Amazing place! extraordinary athletes!
She is a bad ass. All casual about being in an avy
They have Gore-Tex sponsor, helicopter filming, I would like to go there too.
Probably a drone. I would aslo like to go there
Yep. Only our legs and a drone that crashed after the first day. That was the spiciest day of being on the sharp end with Morgan Salen and retrieving the drone. I was just psyched to climb and get a break from parenting with full focus on the moment. After that…made the decision of no guide and slowing down on “the mission.” Not either to move safely with a deep persistent weak layer. But glad to work as a team but prefer other activities with those conditions. Cheers
3:52 “but it ended up a cruiser” what 😮 that is almost vertical
That’s the GoPro effect.
Michael De Wolfe maybe a little but it is very very step
Looked fine
You guys are great especially the girl, she is really something else!!!
yeah merrick is a certified badass. She is the youngest person to climb Denali in history. AT TWELVE YEARS OLD. Im not kidding lol niko showed a picture of her during the ascent in one of his videos and it was epic
Great film, loved the videography and team spirit! :)
Nico is a machine 👍🏻
Beautiful view of mountains!
Merrick is some sort of mountain prodigy!
Holy shit, Merrick is a bad ass!!
Great. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful Norway!

Amazing expedition and team work.
So cool 👋
Cool 😎
AWESOME!!!
0:25 would be a great wallpaper
👍👍👍👍
This is where i grew up.
What peak is that "unnamed 1255 m", Or where is it located in Lyngen peninsula?
@@markkuluotonen2755 difficult to say which one you referee too, there are multiple mountain tops in Lyngen and many in the range you refere too. Uloy.
👍
This is so cool but i can't imagine hiking up a mountain for hours to just ski down it so quick. I rather go to a very big ski resort
what if u slip while climbing? isnt this so much more dangerous then it looks?
What month ?
Scary but cool
all this just to sell some (very bomber) jackets!
Great 🖐👍
How about 5:36
the name of the song?

Kamil Zowczak it´s One More Wave from Ellie Schmidly
Huge exposed windslab face.... Regardless of roping up, just don't go down there!
cool
Every year 2-4 people die on this small mountainrange. Most of them tourists. Be careful people
holly f*** Dosnt exist
go big or go gay.. hmm guess i'll have to go gay.. cause my backside airs suck.
The takeaway message here is very irresponsible; "If you make the right decisions you'll be fine." It took a life-long mountain guide to save your ass from a very bad situation and without her you all could have died. Show some humility, the moral should be to not get yourself in this position in the first place. Come back when the snow is stable. Very Frustrating.
les ryders il doive avoir d'est montés d'adrenaline je payerais des millions pour sa
Sorry but I have serious doubt about the ski level
Less talk, less dramatics, more skiing.
I think it was just right
Good idea to have such an experienced professional when in danger terrain. The things you say when filming...
just don´t do this!!!!
i don't want to hear the girl talking, bla bla bla
Genius Marc Says then stop watching
@@fabiofrongia3299 your advice is useless
@@geniusmarcsays2434 Since you are the one apparently uncapable of forming a single coherent reasonable thought, that's a rather ironic sentence coming from you.
Sweet. Just like Narvik (1330m) . Only without the Gondol lift to the top(!)
Narvik have exelent local guides. Born and raised in the mountain. One of them likes it steeeeeep and suuuuperfast, from the third, and highest top. Dropping down "Mørkhålla", a local name for the hotspot. Big beard and a Sami Viking. Google "Ronny Dahl - Narvikfjellet/Fagernesfjellet". He is the designer of 2025 WC-Downhill slopes in Narvikfjellet. . He can provide other guides if you like a bit more slow downhill. Also The pub on the top of the Gondol is exelent if you want a burger and a beer. Or if the kids are hungry. Great service.
I dont have any commercial stuff to do with Narvikfjellet og guides there. But i have been there several times and as a semi- pro I can only recomend it. Especially if you like to go fast.
Just a tip from a Northener
