YES!
Mad respect Jonas! People often don't realize how much effort is behind these amazing shots, that you have to carry all the camera gear and still be able to keep up with the other guys.
And as a cameraman your are a lot of times behinde because of the shots and thean you have to close the gap.
100%
Jonas is the GOAT
So impressive, so well done by everyone.
Awesome, the Norwegian mountains is Incredible 🤩
👏
Insane! Your editing and storytelling is great. The drone shots are next level too
Really nothing like it in the ski industry let alone on YT. Also cool to see you inspired by the cinematography even with your level of work.
Thanks man! All credit to Joonas for the camerawork
GET READY for another 15 minutes of pure excitement!! Enjoy everyone 🍿🍿🍿🍿
I agree with so many people here. This channel deserves to be huge. Your cinematography, editing, and overall storytelling is insane.
Continuously blown away by the quality. Each video is just pefect!! Setting the standard high for everyone else getting into backcountry filming.
Thank you Joonas! Your work is very much appreciated :)
Great to see Joonas in front of the camera! He's a beast!
These videos are sooo amazing. I struggle to understand how you aren’t the biggest ski channel on UA-cam.
You should do a video about your camera men. Always wondered whos behind the camera and have some questions.. do they go to the top with you? Do they ski down with you? Do you always have the same camerman e.t.c...
That Choke clip at 7:52 might do the most justice for showing the true difficulty of an advanced ski run out of any camera angle I’ve ever seen!! Awesome vid as always ⚡️
Randomly met Nikolai at the gym in Oslo earlier this year - he is as down to earth and nice as he comes across in these videos. cool dude
Your releases are the highlight of youtube for me! Please never stop posting! :)
Dude we need a Movie in the Cinemas ASAP! You guys are killing it!
Stunning as always! I get such a buzz of Niko's work. He really is an inspiration to people wanting to get in to ski-mountaineering-filmmaking.
Every video of yours makes me smile over & over - I love seeing the power of the mountains to create friendships & bonding as much as the skiing & mountaineering. Amazing work.
Glad we’re able to spread the vibe!
I swear to god if Redbull or someone else hires Niko to direct their films they'd be sooooo much better!! I just can't imagine how good Niko would be directing big budget ski films!!
I've really enjoyed it again. Same quality, same crazy editing skills. Keep up the good work. I hardly wait to get some fresh snow here in the Carpathians.
Can we all agree Nikolai and Cody Townsend are the most loved ski channels on the tube?
This is rad! I love how you share both those that decide to turn around AND those that ski from the top. I appreciate seeing both sides. Rock on!!!!
The view of that mountain and you riding it down was crazy! Great video ❄
What a fantastic run, hope you guys get a lot more of those this season.
This was so incredibly well shot and the visuals are amazing ! awesome story guys well done 👍
Creds to the cameraman for also making it :D
12:42 Looks like badly rendered CGI.. Its so beautiful and somethng i have never seen before so it looks for me so unnatural... Another great video.
Holy macaroni! What sick views and lines. Makes me wish to go directly to Norway with the next flight. 🤙🤙
Incredible shots in there and excellent storytelling tricks I'll be using for my hiking videos, this was great.
I'm in love with your video's, they are masterpieces! It's my dream to do something like this some day!
Thank you Niko, awesome video. Jonas is a beast as always
MORE MORE MORE! I NEED THESE! Seriously though great work!
Great video!
Could you make a video dedicated to how the entire filming process works? It would be very interesting to see the logistics behind it!
Thinking about what would be the best way to go about it
The edits that come with the story are so good!
I grew up in on Uloy, an Island in Lyngen. Since the year 2000, 57 people are killed in this area. Not respecting or understanding fully the danger these mountains represent. In 1952 my grandfather, his son and son in law were killed when a avalanche hit their boat while they were fishing in Lyngen fjord. A small family lost nearly all the men of age in one day a short time before Christmas. Enjoy our nature, but make sure you get back home to your loved ones.
My favorite skiing content on YT, thank you so much Niko and Team for bringing us.
I just love stumbling across channels that you know from watching 1 video, that they are a cut above the rest. This might be the best example of that that I have ever had. Amazing video, Amazing channel!!
Back to back to back, these short films are so well done, especially for just (mostly) Joonas
This is really good. Incredible filming and storytelling.
Thank you @Nikolai for your epic vibes, stoke and amazing channel as well as all that make it happen, thank you @Joonas
SOOOOOO good storytelling and photography. What a treat!
Another insane video!! Love the music you put in yours videos too - what songs is this??
Thanks! Link in description :)
@@Nikolai_Schirmer thank you!!!
Everything about this next level
Absolutely lovely video! You always deliver, Nicolai!🙌
Way to send it crew! Looks like a solid day out #ItsOkToFeelNotOkAndTurnAround
Loving all your content team! Top notch job.🤘
Good video but strange history. Looking the video I see 2 people on northside and 4 people on the westside way ( 2 actors and 2 cameramen ??? ) and NOBODY reached the summit . ??? what means that title ?? nobody make it would be better title.
Man Niko!! You just keep dropping them theese days. Thank you. This one was incredible aswell, mad respect to Jonas who keeps killing it aswell. You are all some beasts. Wish we could ride like that in Denmark.
Joonas is the best!
Amazing video! Kudos to the group that made it to the top (for their efforts) and to the group that turned back (for their wisdom).
God damm this guy makes videos that are documentary level but only has 129k subs!! You deserve 10 mil at least
Mind blowingly good! Seems such a rad gang to go skiing with!!
epic drone shots
What an incredible face! Looks like an amazing run
Inspiring! Nikolai, one question: what kind of snowshoes did you use?
I got what I came for. Thank you ❤️
Mad respect for the camera man and drone operator! 😍😍
The music choices in your videos are always so lovely. Thanks for the great content!!!!!

@@Nikolai_Schirmer niiiiice
I hope your camera guy gets paid bread for hiking these mountains with you
The way this dude do his videos are amazing ! The group dynamic, the emotions, the shots....he is the wizzard of this kind of videos !
Of course Eivind nails it's.. What a guy to admire! 😍
Really great episode. Thank you for sharing!
You guys are nuts and that peak might be the most beautiful one in Norway! 🙌So much respect for Joonas for the insane camera work and skiing with all the heavy gear.
Thanks Joel! Hope your own Lyngen trip was a success. I'll pass the praise on to Joonas
@@Nikolai_Schirmer Let's just say it was a great learning lesson! Loved it and can't wait to be back soon! 🙏
Actually five riders - you forgot the camera man :)
Damn every video is amazing, Jonas’ drone compositions are something else
are you sponsored by black crow or are their skis just better than most
Monster of a mountain! Can't wait to touch the snow soon
Even the audio is 4K!!! Holy shit, big kuddo's to the sound guy! Did you use lavaliers for everyone?
Charlie’s a great sound designer :) we use the tentacle sync system
Killer content as always - wish I could be there
Amazing as always! You adventures are aspiring and terrifying at the same time .
Really enjoying the content, production and quality. But I want to shoutout that I've seen in this and another video where you or your friends decide that they've reached their limit and turn back and I have to say it's very respectable and responsible to show that element of any mountaineering. Letting your ego go and making a sensible decision is so important in the mountains, so kudos for including that aspect. Great channel all around
Thank you David🙏 there is much pleasure in a good bail
What are those bootpack platform things on their boots?
Another incredible video Niko, keep it coming!
So Mountains are the feminine gender then? Or is there a King
sit down,relax and enjoyy🏔️🏔️
The Music is awesome!!

Wait, so Finn was the guy in the ice climbing video getting rained on by snow. I thought I saw that as a random clip on reddit and I said sucks to be that guy!
No, that’s just an example :) I wrote the guy’s IG tag on the clip
isn't it 5 including the cameraman? great vid
i really want their gym workout plan :D
I have a question. How do you pick up your bags? I saw you just let them there ook the mountain
We don’t leave them on the mountain :) You wear it while riding
Ska man hålla stavarna lösa eller ha händerna i öglorna?
I would personali pay for your films
I finally found the perfect channel
Det är så brant att det känns som att man ska ramla bakåt
didn't the camera man make it aswell?
Nikolai, for someone who has been out of the sport for several years because of a huge injury (collapsed roof and fall from 8 meters to concrete) and recently got back into skiing, your videos have been (and are) tremendous inspirations into going back into the backcountry and shred as much as possible. Thank you for being as sincere/true as possible, it really makes this videos much more relatable and fun!
Oh no, that sounds extremely shitty. hope you’ve healed up and that you’rr feeling good! Glad the videos work🙌
@@Nikolai_Schirmer The really work and inspire! Got myself a pair of Freebird Navis (that's how I got to "know" you, through the gear video you did, and also the same for the Black Crows brand) with shifts and already planning to go end of January to Europe and probably Japan also (I'm from Argentina). Thanx for sharing this stories with us!!
Love it. Just as I learned. No heli. No snowmobile. Earn yer' turns. And you guys earned em!
Looks a bit like the Eiger ?????
Hi Nikolai, I very much enjoy your videos. I like that you tell the story of the entire tour, also the ascent and safety considerations. But I'd love to see more of the actual skiing! Especially pov. In the end of a video it sometimes feels a bit disappointing to see so little riding.
Cool stuff! I'm seeing the Dolomites (naked) atm... Hope it snows here too.. cheers from a place souther than yours
vooooy men, it's perfect
wow great production.
truly believe that if there was winter 12 months a year Nikolai would have 10 mil subs right now
This was breathtaking and kudos to @joonasmattila Amazing work in the background
Props for the cameraman, he does a lot of heavy lifting. Absolute unit!
Wow amazing
GREAT EXPERIENCE , BUT THE CAMERAMEN IS THE NUMER 1 , CONGRATULATIONS
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great respect on the decision to turn around. Summit fever is one of the leading killers of mountaineers.
cool trip report boys
These videos are simply incredible. Thank you so much for letting us take part in your adventures :)
Great for the two who had their run however much kudos and respect for the decision the other two made so kudos for being smart
