Listen I don't think anyone understands just like dragon ball z and super are different and have cannon and uncannon parts of story this dlc was made for the z part not like the others made to build up the super side 😮💨
I honestly dont mind not mixing the end of z with super. The ending wasnt made with super in mind and we have no idea where its going. The super saga in this was a treat but the game was dbZ kakarot. A celebration of the entirety of z and in that aspekt it is very well done😊
Exactly, the two don’t need to mix, Some of us actually enjoy the end of Z, and I’m glad they decided to flesh it out. Super is all that gets the attention these days, give me that good ol fashioned Z content any day, I’m here for it
Yeah, it only has the wrench of the Battle of God's and Resurrection F DLC adding some Super content into the game. I'm just headcanoning that DLC as a "what if" scenario and the rest is just true to the original DragonBall Z (and some DragonBall) anime. Specifically the anime, cause Bardock definitely took from Father of Goku and Trunks definitely took from History of Trunks, and not the now canon of both of those stories
@@Chronoflationbattle of gods and resurrection F were originally DBZ movies and were before super was even a thing super adapted them into the anime (and it didn’t do it that well tbh)
I feel it’s best to view this dlc as what it originally was interpreted as at the end of Z and see it as a Segway into a new Goku we can build off of as kind of two different branching paths if they do all of GT in the next season pass and then we use base game Goku and what we unlocked from BoG and RF to use in super dlc’s. At least that’s what I’m hoping.
the planet line is a funny reference to dragon ball online, where in one of the logs it staded that old goku and old vegeta had their last battle on a distant plantet, where they blew it do to their power, and thats the last anyone herd from them
The issue here is I think Globku Is including DBS when the game's title is called dragon ball *Z* "But they have battle of gods and RoF" They were "Z": movies before they were readapted into DBS and Frieza dies again at the end of the movie. None of the DLC explicitly mentions DBS content besides the Trunks DLC
I know it's just kind of disappointing that they completely ignore super. I get it, it's a DBZ game but you also gotta remember, it's a Goku game. (Vegeta fans crying because I said Goku instead of kakarot) Also the world tournament technically isn't even DBZ so bandai has broken their rules of "DBZ shit only" before and for me it's disappointing that there's nothing about super because super is really fucking cool. Tldr: we have dragon ball content in the form of the world tournament, why can't we get super stuff?
Ikr I don't know why he is scratching his head so much at the inconsistencies with super, it's clearly because this dlc is ignoring Super's continuity and only being faithful to Toriyama's manga as much as possible. I don't know how he didn't come to that conclusion. There is no material of how super will adapt the end of Z which is for sure going to include retcons to fit with Super. Globku is weird.
@Daimion99 why is it so hard to understand the team just ignored super material for this most likely because the super manga or anime hasn't adapted this part of Z yet? Why did they base the Bardock special on the non canon Z Bardock instead of the canon super Bardock ? All I am saying is if you remove the contuity of super and inrerperet the dlc is like how it was in the manga before super existed the statements in the story make way more sense.
Honestly don’t understand what ppl expected for the end of z where nun happened fr or to mention even now in the anime Super and end of z don’t even correlate into each other😭😭
I mean the Bardock DLC also had a similar story timing issue what with it based on the Father of Goku film rather the new canon Bardock related content in both DBS: Broly film and parts of the Granolah Arc. They could have easily added the uniform and other things like a younger Gas as boss fight but no. A similar thing happened with the RoF DLC where they they so play added Zarbon, Dodoria, the full Ginyu force despite majority of those being dead, and no tagoma or sorbet. Honestly at this rate if we wanted a more accurate retelling, it have to be a whole other game covering the DBS content.
problem is that we were used of getting some kind of special dlc gimmick -world tournament gave as ground fights -bardock dlc just gave as a whole story without playing z warriors -trunks dlc gave us the story between trunks and boo, told for the very first time and this dlc special gimmick was the last battle between goku and vegeta?
To be fair, that's a pretty good gimmick. People love seeing Goku and Vegeta fight. But it is a bit disappointing compared to the other things they've done.
The passive buffs you can earn in the base game. They add a new training ground where you can face Frieza, Cell, Buu, and Vegeta indefinitely at higher difficulties.
@mlgwithdank6358 So once you beat the dlc with Uub and finish the saga of two saiyans end game story, you unlock the ability to acquire the new combo string and super attacks in the main game. If you travel to Blake bog there is a new training grounds on the map where you can fight the bosses from the dlc but they are a lot stronger. Beating them unlocks the 2 new passive abilities Spirit surge and Crashing Waves and wind
Just like the Trunks, Bardock and Piccolo DLCs, I give this a 10/10. Uub definitely wasn’t the focus, that vegeta fight was insane. It wasn’t even a fight, it was a trip down memory lane but the way it was crafted makes it seem like the end of Kakarot which would be upsetting but as an ending it works perfectly. I think what made me love this DLC so much was the representation of goku and vegeta’s settled down lives and the side quests in this DLC were far better than the base game and the other 5 DLCs. And the rematch fights with older villains was a nice surprise RIP Guldo he got left out
Think this sums up well why I believe copying the end of Z should not be Super's goal at all. They can have the skeleton frame but it needs to blow the end of GT out of the water which feels like the more heartwrenching ending.
This dlc is a straight adaptation of the end of z without the context of super, and it's pretty faithful, even if they got Vegetas character a little wrong in the extra arc.
@@najibosman6497yeah he was committed to beating Goku one day but at that point he actively considered Goku the strongest being in the universe. He was talking more like Majin Vegeta than how he acts even in Super when he has a chance.
They didn't get vegeta's character wrong. In literally every adaptation of post-buu arc DBZ, Vegeta still wants to surpass goku, just not as much as he did in the past. For example, in the original ending of the DBZ manga, after Goku leaves with Uub Vegeta vows to surpass kakarot. And then there is DBS, and vegeta wants to surpass kakarot there too, although they have a more friendly rivalry instead of a hostile one. And lastly there is GT which takes place years after goku leaves with Uub, and Vegeta wants to surpass kakarot there too. After goku unlocked ssj4, vegeta literally crashes an entire world tournament just for the opprotunity to fight goku, and he spends a lot of that episode basically begging goku to finally fight him again. GT vegeta only starts to care less about surpassing goku during the final few episode of the shadow dragon saga. So in all 3 adaptations of post-buu saga, Vegeta's character CONSISTENLY want wants to surpass Goku. They didn't get his character wrong at all.
No it's quite accurate in the original canonical post end of Z story, Goku and Vegeta have a final battle to the death, with the victor left unknown. I'd say this is actually pretty accurate to Vegeta's character considering how Toriyama originally planned post end of Z.
Around 6:08 I think that CyberConnect2 knows, that Super and the new era of Dragon Ball, and neatly reach this, if you look at what's allow on this DLC, there is no god, there is no SSGSS. It's only original DB stuff, this has a meaning, they know it's more disconnected then connected Super and OG DB. Which is why, i don't think it's a brave choice, it's a smart choice, before anyone can complain when probably they feel that this ending doesn't fit with Super, they jumped ahead and did the ending saying "We know it, we won't be burn by that when it happens."
7:18 while I agree with you that maybe they could have expanded a bit on the Uub thing and all, I think you are looking too much into "End of Z doesnt match with Super", specially since we already got Bardock from the TV Special of Bardock, which is completely incompatible with Dragon Ball Minus or Super. The DLCs make a difference between Z stuff and Super stuff, and I think thats fine. Adding "Super" stuff to them and trying to mish mash would just drag the entire material down, as Super doesnt hold the tiniest candle to Z. The only truly reedemable thing that came out of super up until now, for me, is Ultra Instinct, and the ending of Tournament of Power, which made the fight between Goku and Freezer in Namek come around full circle. (who would have imagined Freezer and SSJ Goku fighting together to save the universe??) Those are the only two things that I consider to be iconic in Modern Dragon Ball, EVERYTHING else is just self-plagiarism from Z stuff, or straight up ripped from fan-material, in any shape or form. But yeah, I think it would be fun to see Uub trying to fight against some alien invaders, or some new Red Ribbon army faction, as part of his training, and you get to play as Uub.
My main wish is for them to cover OGDB... from Pilaf, to Demon king Piccolo. I feel like OGDB's story fits way better with the RPG/Adventure style of Kakarot than anything from Z. Also... i'd like the Zamasu Arc from Super.
I think people are confusing things. I'm pretty sure end of z is canon to super but super is not canon to end of z. Like obviously no shit you don't see anyone mention things like the events of battle or gods or the tournament of power, that wasn't a thing when the end of z first aired. If it was then you'd be seeing characters like beerus and whis, and mentions of the events of super. But you don't because nothing happened in those 10 years after the buu saga
Maybe, but not in that order. That seems wild. I could see maybe fusion reborn next, then either Cooler or the tree of might and then baby + super 17 + omega shenron in one huge DLC
@beastbandit7128 They did Battle of God's and Resurrection F, maybe cause those technically don't interfere with the original canon, but it seems pretty clear that Super content is not canon to this game and only is included as more of an alternate path. I mean, considering how Goku has been rewritten in Super, it's pretty hard to consider that canon anyhow
Pretty sure the “Next time we’ll need a whole planet to fight” line was a dub exclusive line that linked End of Z to the GT Baby Arc,it was also present in the original DBZ Funimation dub
@breakingmirai you're kinda right bro. It's like Spider-Man 3, a ton of great moments, but overall it's not all that. In the ToP's case it wasted Tien and Piccolo got done dirty. The other universes were irrelevant apart from u6 and u11 and even then only certain characters there were relevant.
I would love to see a Future Trunks/Goku Black arc DLC. It's my favorite arc from Super and I would LOVE to see CC2 tackle it. Beyond that, more Super content in general would be cool. That one U6 v U7 tournament (where Goku debuted Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken) would be cool, but I would also be down for a Tournament of Power part 1-3 sort of deal (because that arc is LONG).
The u6 arc could be a good one to adapt into this game. Multiple playable characters, multiple fights, and they could even do fun post-game content where you get to fight an unrestrained Hit for a subquest.
The story for this dlc really reminded me of the Naruto Storm games with the flashbacks the quick-time events and the cinematic scenes.(especially the fight between Goku and vegeta)
I dont think it was necessary to involve Super just for this DLC tbh especially since it's clearly more so based on the OG ending and not the ending that will inevitably be retconned one way or another. There would be more work trying to fill in gaps and making it make sense between both continuations when they haven't even got there in the manga lol.
Best Goku outfit hands down. There’s a feeling of mastery you get from him in this part of the story that he never had elsewhere. Before super decided to dumb him down and make him a moron. This is Goku at his best. Just wish they decided to flesh out the Uub training more, at least till the beginning of GT. UUB in GT had a top tier design and was positioned to be stronger than Goku was, at least before the SS4 upgrade
super didn't make goku a moron, the stupidest moment he displayed was when he didn't know what kissing was (I personally thought he was messing with vegeta) in like chapter 20 something
I dont think you're being fair, this is a dbz story not a dbs story. Attaching that to this story would do a disservice to it, it wouldn't be faithful and it'd just age poorly when the official version comes out. Also, nothing super related has even been put in this game, they've adapted two z movies, not super. Asking them to just create an entire new concept with the end of z but with all of super in it AND ask for new mechanics like a spoiled kid is just asking for too much, that's unfair and unrealistic. We get what we get, and we even got an extra Goku vs vegeta, so chill out and enjoy the dlc, it was a great one.
Having whoever link this with Super would have been a whole hassle. They said end of Z not advertising as sum sort link to z and super. If thought they were gonna reference super then your gonna set yourself for disappointment.
I think they have two options, come out and say that End of Z is not canon at all, which alot of people are still clinging to, or end Super with the death of Gods and God Ki.
I would’ve definitely liked to see some extra stuff with Uub. Shout outs to Budokai 3 for having two bonus fights with Uub fighting Buu and his rematch with Goku
I think the Black star Dragon Ball and Baby Sagas should be in one (DLC 7), Super #17 (DLC 8), and Shadow Dragons Saga (DLC 9) should be in season pass 3. Or they should add the Champa Saga (DLC 7), Zamasu Saga (DLC 8), and the Tournament of Power Saga (DLC 9) should be in season pass 3. Either way, I am excited about what cyberconnect 2 is going to do with Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot future downloadable content packs.
That would be boring, I hope we either get DBZ broly next, or DBS Broly. Maybe even Superhero, it would serve as a god excuse to level up gohan and piccolo some more.
6:49 With Dragon Ball Daima forcing Goku, Vegeta, and everyone else to revert to being a kid, I wouldn't be surprised if that had something to do with why Goku can't transform into either god form or UI. If I remember correctly, Whis or Beerus stated that Goku's body remembered what it was like to be in the god form so maybe having his body altered caused him to lose that sort of muscle memory. Goku also stated in Battle of Gods that he didn't like not achieving SSG on his own so perhaps he would decide to not go through the ritual again so that he could choose to reach that level of strength on his own. This of course doesn't really explain the lack of UI, Vegeta being depowered (Vegeta doesn't need Goku for the ritual since Tarble is out there somewhere), or the lack of Whis, Broly, and Beerus in End of Z/GT (although you could always say that Beerus is taking another long nap).
Honestly, I kinda like that this doesn't really reference Super. This arc was originally designed to be the epilogue of DBZ with no major events happening in between. Super is its own thing, the manga and anime and even movies are all somewhat different from each other even, leaving the true canon of Super somewhat up to debate. The original DragonBall manga and anime are far more in line with each other and this is the ending of that story. I appreciate that. This story doesn't work with the Super continuity, though they tried to make it work in Super. Going back to the original ending, it just sits right better with the original anime version, just like how Bardock took a lot from The Father of Goku special and Trunks's story took from the History of Trunks (which wasn't even canon in the original Z story). Kakarot, for all intent and purposes, is primarily a DragonBall Z, the anime, game. They did include Battle of God's and Ressurection F DLC for Super fans and to capitalize on its popularity a bit, but the game makes a lot more sense if you think of those DLCs as "what ifs" like many past DB games have done
That's definitely understandable, but if you have someone who is learning about the DB story for thr first time through this game, it leaves alotta questions unanswered ya know? 😅
To be fair, Battle of Gods and Resurrection F were originally marketed as DBZ films before Super got announced, so they technically still count as Z-era stories.
I agree - there is room to End of Z to tie to Super. I can only assume it's intentional that they're keeping them separate based on where they want the story to go in Super. Since super is not over, it would be hard to show those links right now because you'd have to have things like Gohan Beast and Ultra Instinct in there. They probably have more DBS transformations coming (all of which would be prior to End of Z chronologically). Personally I wish they had chosen something else from the past if they weren't ready to logically connect End of Z to Super. It's interesting that they chose the old version of the bardock story, though.
Eh, I don't want them to link Super and Z's ending. They were made as separate things and, as someone who doesn't like Super as much, I'd rather them stay that way. Just be their own things.
That’s not why considering they don’t seem to be teasing GT. It’s just them being slightly sloppy and not wanting to push too far beyond what’s been established for super stuff in case they want to make more DLC or another game. Now if they dip into GT stuff in the game THEN all bets are off.
Super and GT may be absent from this game timeline Seeing they only cover Z movies from Beerus and Golden Frieza but nowhere is showned to use God forms
One way they could incorporate this into super is if goku and vegeta are told that they rely too heavily on their transformations and are banned from transforming past super sayian 3 until their base forms exceed a certain point. They could have added that final battle of goku and vegeta to help tie into everything going forward
After playing this I’m not mad at this dlc. I enjoyed the many small things they introduced in the game. Pan and Uub were great and seeing the interactions were awesome. The fights were fun but I did want more tournament battles but for 13$ and being a dbz fan I was thoroughly amused…. HOWEVER I am upset I couldn’t use the goku from the main game that I lvd all the way to lv 300 and got him to 3000 base ki. Let me use “MY” damn goku game. I don’t want to unlock the same moves I’ve been using 3000 times in season 3. Dumb 🙄
End of z has more canonicity since it was apart of the original manga and that vision whatever contradictions super does to the og manga dint matter since the og manga will always be more canon
I think season 3 should go super of it happens. Universe 6 vs 7, Goku Black, and Tournament of power. Thing is with T.O.P being so long, they could do 4 waves instead of usual 3 by splitting up the T.O.P into recruitment and the actual tournament. Or they could do some of the DBZ movies and flesh them out more by maybe doing Broly (Z or Super), Cooler, and Janemba (Whatever their movies are called).
The thank you screen at the end of the main story piece of this dlc is pretty concerning as far as expectations of a season 3 goes. I'm pretty sure no other dlc has had that and it gave off a huge feeling of "thanks for coming that's all folks" for the entire game. sure there's always a potential sequel but right now I just want them to continue making this game a more and more complete experience. Even as far as simple quality of life stuff like changing clothes whenever you want hasn't been added and there's still plenty of story stuff they can add. The OG Dragonball tournament arc muddys these waters even more cause my OCD kicks in being like "yeah but where's the rest of OG Dragonball?" Like now they opened that door and now I want the rest of OG Dragonball. Its weird just throwing the end arc into the game and being like alright we are done with that. And I can live without super especially since the next logical step WOULD be a sequel game centered entirely around super, but if that's the case I definitely want to see GT added as dlc for this game. And then there's a lot of great dbz movies to pull from I would absolutely adore some dlc of the cooler movies. I want at least one more season of this game and then hopefully a sequel dedicated entirely to dragon ball super. But at this point I have no idea what's even going on and this final one absolutely felt like the send off to this game.
At this point I very much don't care about canon in this series and this comment is a perfect example of why. We just randomly decide a new canon every day and it's just ridiculous to even try to keep track of. And then the amount of nonsense around thinking super is canon when it has way more problems than GT ever did. Honestly the biggest GT canon issue is probably just when non canon villains are shown for like 5 seconds as nothing more than an Easter egg in the super 17 arc. And the fact of toriyamas very limited involvement which the exact same argument can be made for super. Daima is the most involved he's even been in the series for a while and everyone already hates that without even seeing it by concept alone. The canon discussions around this series is pure brain cell destruction.
There is an insane amount of cope in this comment section. Whether or not you like Super, the end of Z is INDEED canon to Super. Toriyama himself said when DBS first started, that the end of Z is canon with the events of DBS. Until Toriyama states otherwise, that will continue to be the case.
This is probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite DLC. To be fair I haven’t played the Bardock one yet but this and the 23rd WT are the best ones behind the Trunks DLC
I hate how you gotta unlock everything again minus some for goku again via orbs. They should had a different system.... After doing it the main game and all the other dlcs. This was quite annoying
im oretty sure end of z isnt canon to super anymore, yes we are close to the that time frame in the manga but goku has seen the others in less than five years by now and stuff, so its pretty safe to say that this isnt canon anymore, like of bardock that we also got a dlc for kakarot, long sotry short, they are basically choosing cool stuff for us to see, story in these make little to no sence now
7:26 unless black frieza gets defeated and killed before end of the 10 time skip?? Maybe that is what they were implying, either that or the more safe answers being that this was made within considering super just as the original ending of Z
Super and EOZ simply cannot coexist as canon, I'm immensely grateful this dlc didn't try and retcon Super into EOZ Finally, evidence of how I've always felt, that super is not cannon to Z, it's a seperate timeline after Buu For that, this dlc may just be my favorite one
sometimes I wonder if im the only one taking the games name literally, DragonBall Z Kakarot, with focus on Z so nothing past the Z era, I personally don't like super so maybe thats why i'm seeing it that way but I reckon the future dlc will include GT and or Super
Simple explanation, The author kinda confirmed that the plot for Super is a alternative timeline compare to GT. And the End of Z is actually the plot timeline that link toward more to GT. As Supers plot is very much in conflict with the End of Z plot already. So you could say that the DLC for this is entirely not related to the other DLC plot or story that linked to Supers.
I was pretty much okay that super wasn’t awkwardly shoehorned into the narrative. I mean it would have been neat having some subtle nods but I think the point of these DLC’s are to capture the essence of manga and anime moments. To tell those stories and adapt them into a video game format where you’re living in that era of the story. It was fine by me! Also I really hope they adapt these for season 3 1. Plan to eradicate the Saiyan’s 2. Goku black saga 3. An entirely original story that combines the gameplay elements of all the DLC
season pass 2 was dope, i have so much fun with all of the DLC's to this day. i hope they make whole story arcs and put as much if not more effort into a season pass 3 if they make one. and with them specifying it was the last DLC of season pass 2, not the last DLC in general, it gives me quite a bit of hope.
Why would they connect this dlc with super if its a Z DLC listen I know we got that trunks and Dabura but this is still a Z DLC you wanna know why because this dlc is unrelated to the first second or third dlc as you can buy this one without any of the first dlcs. If they did give us blue and god in this doc there would be no point in the first 2 dlc. Dlc 6 is not linked with dlc 1 and 2.
Super should not line up with end of Z and there's no need to. We know for a fact that different timelines exist. You just get rid of the one factor that's different and boom, perfect explanation why they are different. What is that factor? : Beerus. He doesn't have his dream, Super never happened. No need to go further than that.
@smilelydogge2821 Maybe, maybe not. Don't underestimate what one little difference can do. Also, if Golden Frieza had happened....just how would Goku and Vegeta have won that battle? Gotta go further than just surface level thoughts.
I love it. I'm happy that super has nothing to do with it cause I've always seen super as an alternate timeline and always will. ''bulma hasn't seen goku in 5 years'' yup super is gonna redo it and I'm looking forward to see how they handle that lol.
Same here but my reasoning is more negative than positive But seeing this and it practically confirming Super and EOZ are not cannon to each other is amazing Seperate timelines and all
@@nora-yc6fi indeed. I see yeah. I didn't like them tampering with certain stuff like the potara one hour bs (still not over that lol) then the tingly back ssj thing doesn't make sense either unless it's just much easier for saiyans in universe 6 to transform but stil feels weird. I do like super but classic Dragon ball has a different vibe.
@@nora-yc6fi There's people who keep saying that super can fit into the end of Z but there's multiple reasons why it can't because of plot inconsistencies. Heck I think even the manga has that "haven't seen each other in 5 years moments" so both anime and manga of super contradict the original manga which is absolutely crazy but I guess Toriyama and the rest really give no damn wow.
I think it was a little crazy to expect them to try and connect End of Z to Super. The only way for it to line up with Super as we have it now is if Xeno or the Super Dragon stroll up, remove everyone's god powers and erases their memories.
@theonetruefusion8533 It wouldn't be a big retcon but given the ages of Pan and Bulla I'm pretty sure that by the ToP we're in the middle of that 5 years that Bulma claims to not have seen the Son family. When Toriyama wrote Battle of Gods, there were no plans to also put a new series in that time gap, and now Super's gone long enough that the timelines aren't able to line up anymore.
@theonetruefusion8533 I think 3 is right for Pan with Bulla being a little older. But yeah, and Pan is only 4 during the end of Z world tournament. With DB Daima coming up now too I think it only makes sense to accept that while Super is currently the main canon, it's a different canon than was what written originally.
Me personally they keep saying that super is before the end of Z cause the ending at the time was emotional and was practically everything to alote of people Making them “see” what happens between all that Personally i think if they left goku on God form that would have been good to fit in end of z but by how they go by now i dont see how they can fit that in I say they will remake the ending something different cause just doesnt fit with how super and all looks Also pan super hero is clearly older
Even that excuse doesn't apply here, he fights Vegeta at full power and only goes SSJ3. And as a player you either should not have transformations if that was the case of him trying to use UI in base, or you should be able to go UI or Blue against Vegeta in their final battle.
@TitosYT He uses UI in his transformations as well and he said it gets better the higher the transformation so maybe the excuse is him training to perfect it without using god forms,I just said it's the only excuse I see is all
@JustinMedina-ro8du you are not understanding the convo at all my dude. It's kinda obvious that if you could go Blue with Goku then Vegeta would go Blue as well.
for season 3 they should do gt or top and broly. and super hero. i want gogeta also this arc can still work. for the frieza thing even. maybe hes dead again he deffinently wont live
I mean I'm not sad that this doesn't fit in with dbs because this is just dragon Ball z so I'm actually kind of glad they don't reference anything from dbs
Between Super and End of Z they didn't need to shoot the gap. They were putting a cap on Z with this last DLC. This game and its DLC define the best parts of the Z era. The main story, History of Trunks, Father of Goku and even a peak into OG Dragon Ball to give people an understanding of Piccolo and his circumstances leading into the distinction of the series becoming Z. This DLC follows this trend by showing the last bit of Z as it was written in the manga and intended to end... Until Toriyama had time to think and really flesh out where he wanted the story to go and thats why the other DLC lead us to the new Super canon. I love what they did with this DLC because to me it shows they wanted this game to be an homage to the phenomenon of DBZ. It truly was something that people all over the world loved, even the extended movie stuff so to me this game is complete. I also hope the way they combined the new systems and the serious cinematics for this DLC is a hint for us that Dragon Ball Super Kakarot will be incredible. With that said I'd also love for them to do a GT series of DLC if the Super idea I mentioned isn't in the works.
@@TheDarknash thats exactly why I made my comment homie, thanks for the appreciation and for also having the sense to not just connect the dots, but even consider them. The Dragon Ball franchise was rebooted with Battle of Gods and Resurrection F through the Z name to one, see where the potential for the series' love still was. And two, it needed to bring back the most iconic villain for the next era of the series, Frieza in Super. While also connecting the dots of the Afterlife to a higher tier of strength, rather than simply as watchers. King Kai trained Goku, there had to have been strong Kai/Deity-like beings out there as well and what a perfect focus for the next stage of strength the main characters will ascend to. I also want to mention, the reason Broly doesn't make an appearance in this game is specifically because he has a place in the new Canon. Broly was just as iconic as Bardock, him not being in this should seem weird. But if Super is gonna rewrite Broly so completely as an active character, as they're doing in the manga, it would make sense to exclude his old version in a game of this nature
I want 3 movies all introducing 3 new gameplay aspects: Broly the legendary super saiyan- this should introduce Broly(playable boss that breaks the game) Bojack- updated ss2 teen gohan and the introduction of a galactic tournament game mode Janemba- Gogeta…….I just really want Gogeta in the game
Season pass 3 should have 2 movies at each one, it will cost 5 dollars more than the average price but you could get like the Broly 1 and cooler as pack 1. Broly 2 and fusion reborn as pack 2, and coolers revenge and wrath of the dragon as pack 3.And call it the original Movies season pass
You have done more to sell me on this DLC than the entire marketing has just by showing clips of Pak hanging out with Goku, being able to fight her AND playing as her. 💸
Wouldnt it have been incredible if they had introduced Ultra Instinct in this game via this very dlc, like during his ultimate battle with vegeta he uses it and vegeta gets blue evolution
If I were to create a Season pass 3, I would choose three arcs from Super, these arcs would be: The Goku Black arc, the T.O.P, and DBS Broly + Superhero as one arc.

Didn't even know there was dlc. I redownloaded yesterday and intend to finish the game and then hope on all the dlcs. Glad i vought discounted season pass when i did.
I can choose 3 arcs eh no im chosing 2 (and Another type of dlc) so the first is a gt dlc covering the entire baby saga (with the black star dragonball part included) The second is a kid goku saga that starts with goku meeting bulma and ends with the first timeskip And lastly there is a free pkay mode were you can fly arround every map as every character and costume (including grounded ones) and fight enemys and tons of returning bosses before facing demigra to return the universe to normal!
I wanna talk bout season 3. I know this is random but remember the dlc 1 & 2. They connect with main game. Which mean, character levels continue from game play and dlc. So about season 3, if it SUPER, i think they need to created new Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo. Cause most of us are already max the characters to 300. Here we can get a new combo for Vegeta and Piccolo. Goku can keep his level 5 combo from dlc 6. Its still new so keep it. Of course all 3 of them will get new supers attack. Piccolo REALLY need a new one. We also need to get a ground battle transformation and of course new SSGSS Kaioken x10 Goku. For the starter maybe Goku and Vegeta at level 180? And Piccolo at 130?. Hit level need to be higher maybe 200 or 210. Cause Golden Frieza is at level 170 i believe. Not the sub story but main story. Botamo at level 160. He need to be weaker. Magetta level 180. Frost level 160 (fight Goku and Piccolo) to 170 (fight Vegeta). Monaka thing just a cutscense. Goku and Vegeta can finish at level around < 210 < (if you just play main story without sub story) and Piccolo at level 150?. Piccolo should at least have 2 fight in main story. The one agaist Frost and maybe another one when he did the mental training (before he join tournement). Its a thing now since dlc 6 introduce it. So it will cover Piccolo vs Mental Training, Goku vs Botamo, Goku vs Frost, Piccolo vs Frost, Vegeta vs Frost, Vegeta vs Magetta, Vegeta vs Cabba, Vegeta vs SS Cabba, Vegeta vs Hit, Goku vs Hit, SSGSS Kaioken x10 Goku vs Hit. 11 fight. Thats perfect. They need to make this enemies level get higher and higher like a continuation cause dlc 3,4,5 and 6 is not related. Same go for Goku Black dlc (if they even make it). New Goku, Vegeta, Trunks to level up because we all gonna max the characters level before next dlc come out. Also new supers for 3 of them. The Cover fight is the SS2 Trunks vs Black, SS3 Goku vs SS2 Trunks, SS2 Goku vs Black, SSGIII Trunks vs Vegeta SSGSS, SSGSS Vegeta vs SSR Black, SSGSS Goku & SS2 Trunks vs SSR Black & Zamasu, SSGSS Goku & SSGSS Vegeta vs SSR Black, SSGSS Goku (Rage) vs SSR Black, SSRage Trunks (first transformation) vs SSR Black and Zamasu, SSRage Trunks vs SSR Black and Zamasu, SSGSS Vegeta vs SSR Black, SSGSS Goku and SSGSS Vegeta vs Fused Zamasu, SSGSS Vegito vs Fused Zamasu, SSRage Trunks vs Fused Zamasu And thats is total of 13 fight. Start with Trunks at level 150 all the way to Fused Zamasu who has level 250. For TOP....to be continued 😂😂. I dont know what to say about TOP.
awesome statement completely undermining the effort and love that went into the visuals and cutscenes, not mentioning the fact that they also gotta pay the voice actors and such..

@@pasqualedigesu5418 well technically that has nothing to do with super because it happens in Z era + its something we already thought would have happened back in the day, specially because (if i recall correctly) akira had confirmed in an interview that Trunks had to prevent majin buu from emerging in his own time line by himself, even before super was a thing.

Some of us actually enjoy the end of Z, and I’m glad they decided to flesh it out.

"But they have battle of gods and RoF" They were "Z": movies before they were readapted into DBS and Frieza dies again at the end of the movie.

Tldr: we have dragon ball content in the form of the world tournament, why can't we get super stuff?
it seems clear that this DLC is focused on being end of Z, not Dragon Ball Super continuity.
I'm very happy that we got a look at more end of Z stuff.
You people are weird
Ikr I don't know why he is scratching his head so much at the inconsistencies with super, it's clearly because this dlc is ignoring Super's continuity and only being faithful to Toriyama's manga as much as possible. I don't know how he didn't come to that conclusion.
There is no material of how super will adapt the end of Z which is for sure going to include retcons to fit with Super. Globku is weird.
@@fastvalkary725....this entire game GOES THROUGH the time skip and they ignore it??? That makes zero sense

Honestly at this rate if we wanted a more accurate retelling, it have to be a whole other game covering the DBS content.
ur taking it too deep bro this dlc isnt meant to take super into consideration its just a game adaptation of the last few episodes of dragon ball z
Exactly, Super has nothing to do with the ending of Z/ Z manga
problem is that we were used of getting some kind of special dlc gimmick
-world tournament gave as ground fights
-bardock dlc just gave as a whole story without playing z warriors
-trunks dlc gave us the story between trunks and boo, told for the very first time
and this dlc special gimmick was the last battle between goku and vegeta?

The passive buffs you can earn in the base game. They add a new training ground where you can face Frieza, Cell, Buu, and Vegeta indefinitely at higher difficulties.
where do i find this? i beat the main story, is it at capsule corp?
And the rematch fights with older villains was a nice surprise
RIP Guldo he got left out

I think it’s because Goku never canonically met Guldo
@@zenkai9655yes that is exactly why. It feels so bad fighting the Ginyu force with one of them missing lol
What happened to Vegeta?
I mean it’s quite accurate if you consider the revised version from 2003 where there is an extra panel of vegeta vowing to defeat goku one day.
(who would have imagined Freezer and SSJ Goku fighting together to save the universe??)
Those are the only two things that I consider to be iconic in Modern Dragon Ball, EVERYTHING else is just self-plagiarism from Z stuff, or straight up ripped from fan-material, in any shape or form.
1. Baby Saga
2. Super Broly
3. Fusion Reborn
Maybe, but not in that order. That seems wild. I could see maybe fusion reborn next, then either Cooler or the tree of might and then baby + super 17 + omega shenron in one huge DLC
they dont do non cannon movies and no gt stuff only stuff from z and og db
@beastbandit7128 They did Battle of God's and Resurrection F, maybe cause those technically don't interfere with the original canon, but it seems pretty clear that Super content is not canon to this game and only is included as more of an alternate path. I mean, considering how Goku has been rewritten in Super, it's pretty hard to consider that canon anyhow

I was literally thinking the same thing just imagine seeing those cutscenes how mind blowingly.... Super they would look. 😁👍💯
The story for this dlc really reminded me of the Naruto Storm games with the flashbacks the quick-time events and the cinematic scenes.(especially the fight between Goku and vegeta)
its the same studio
I don't mind the dlc not involving super, I can see your points about things not lining up and all but as a dlc to end off the season.
That Goku vs Vegeta fight made everything worth it. The feelings I felt while playing was insane, like I was Goku or Vegeta fr
This dlc was amazing in my opinion
Having whoever link this with Super would have been a whole hassle. They said end of Z not advertising as sum sort link to z and super. If thought they were gonna reference super then your gonna set yourself for disappointment.
I think they have two options, come out and say that End of Z is not canon at all, which alot of people are still clinging to, or end Super with the death of Gods and God Ki.
I would’ve definitely liked to see some extra stuff with Uub. Shout outs to Budokai 3 for having two bonus fights with Uub fighting Buu and his rematch with Goku
Hope we get GT next.
Taking back the world from Baby or hunting down the Shadow Dragons sounds like fun.
This 100% but we need to play as Trunks and Pan too. Not only Goku.
That would be nice because I never watched gt because I find it too boring to watch and would much rather play it
@@SSJ491 if they did start to adapt super they'd need to do 2 arcs a pack to catch up with what's happening in super currently

at this point similar to gt, this specific ending does not matter/its boycotted for the sake of lets just make more now
6:49 With Dragon Ball Daima forcing Goku, Vegeta, and everyone else to revert to being a kid, I wouldn't be surprised if that had something to do with why Goku can't transform into either god form or UI.
@@c.k.6939 true but what about Future Trunks meeting the Supreme Kai? That was in Super
The reason the DLC didn’t connect is because at the end of Z there is a split in timeline. There is the super route and gt route.
That’s not why considering they don’t seem to be teasing GT. It’s just them being slightly sloppy and not wanting to push too far beyond what’s been established for super stuff in case they want to make more DLC or another game.
Now if they dip into GT stuff in the game THEN all bets are off.
Super and GT may be absent from this game timeline
Seeing they only cover Z movies from Beerus and Golden Frieza but nowhere is showned to use God forms
The easy answer is this just ignoring Super. Which I'm glad it does tbh. It's ALWAYS gonna be weird of them to CRAM super in-between Z like that.
You set yourself up for disappointment if you actually expected them to show what happens after the ending of dbz, that mostly on you.
Not really all i wanted in this dlc was to play as uub wether it was side missions or training with goku for moves idk why they didn’t do that
One way they could incorporate this into super is if goku and vegeta are told that they rely too heavily on their transformations and are banned from transforming past super sayian 3 until their base forms exceed a certain point.
Dumb 🙄
Hey End of Z happened years before Super was even a thing. It got retcon End of Z is no longer canon

I hope by the time this game is done, they cover everything. Super, movies, and gt included. I see no reason not to.

End of Z isn’t cannon at all for Super. If Super ever covers this saga, they will change it a lot.
End of Z is cannon.
End of Z is cannon 😅
Toriyama said everything in Super takes place before it
says who?
@@cyon1697Says fans who think Super presents inconsistencies with everything at the End of Z despite it only being one or two throwaway lines.
The Episode of Bardock dlc was pretty awesome
I hate how you gotta unlock everything again minus some for goku again via orbs. They should had a different system....
After doing it the main game and all the other dlcs. This was quite annoying
im oretty sure end of z isnt canon to super anymore, yes we are close to the that time frame in the manga but goku has seen the others in less than five years by now and stuff, so its pretty safe to say that this isnt canon anymore, like of bardock that we also got a dlc for kakarot, long sotry short, they are basically choosing cool stuff for us to see, story in these make little to no sence now
I thought we all agreed "end of z" doesn't exist anymore and super is not a what happened in between but its the new continuity
7:26 unless black frieza gets defeated and killed before end of the 10 time skip?? Maybe that is what they were implying, either that or the more safe answers being that this was made within considering super just as the original ending of Z
Super and EOZ simply cannot coexist as canon, I'm immensely grateful this dlc didn't try and retcon Super into EOZ
Finally, evidence of how I've always felt, that super is not cannon to Z, it's a seperate timeline after Buu
For that, this dlc may just be my favorite one
Damn Globku droppin vids left and right 😭
sometimes I wonder if im the only one taking the games name literally, DragonBall Z Kakarot, with focus on Z so nothing past the Z era, I personally don't like super so maybe thats why i'm seeing it that way but I reckon the future dlc will include GT and or Super
Simple explanation, The author kinda confirmed that the plot for Super is a alternative timeline compare to GT.
And the End of Z is actually the plot timeline that link toward more to GT.
As Supers plot is very much in conflict with the End of Z plot already.
So you could say that the DLC for this is entirely not related to the other DLC plot or story that linked to Supers.
what? 💀
Also I really hope they adapt these for season 3
1. Plan to eradicate the Saiyan’s
2. Goku black saga
I’m sure that either End of Z will be retconned or something will happen in the final DBS arc that will seal Goku and Vegeta’s god powers
They aren’t retconning anything, Super is its own thing. Has nothing to do with the original manga or anime
This isn’t canon to super so trying to connect the two doesn’t rlly make sense
Super should not line up with end of Z and there's no need to. We know for a fact that different timelines exist. You just get rid of the one factor that's different and boom, perfect explanation why they are different. What is that factor? : Beerus.
He doesn't have his dream, Super never happened. No need to go further than that.
Even if beerus never had his dream, the golden frieza arc would've happened and so would the moro arc.
@smilelydogge2821
Maybe, maybe not.
Same here but my reasoning is more negative than positive
But seeing this and it practically confirming Super and EOZ are not cannon to each other is amazing
Seperate timelines and all
@@nora-yc6fi indeed.
The only way for it to line up with Super as we have it now is if Xeno or the Super Dragon stroll up, remove everyone's god powers and erases their memories.
not really, at no point in the 3 chapters at the end of z does anything they do contradict super
@@RobeBLB we’ll pan and bulla are about 3 years old right now, maybe a bit younger
@@RobeBLB DB Daima?
Me personally they keep saying that super is before the end of Z cause the ending at the time was emotional and was practically everything to alote of people
Making them “see” what happens between all that
Personally i think if they left goku on God form that would have been good to fit in end of z but by how they go by now i dont see how they can fit that in
I say they will remake the ending something different cause just doesnt fit with how super and all looks
Also pan super hero is clearly older
DBS Pan looks and acts WAY older but is said to be YOUNGER.
DBS version is 3 while OG is 4!
End of z beerus never went to earth in that timeline it’s separate from the dbs timeline
That’s just objectively not true super takes place between the buu saga and the end of Z
3 DLCs we need is, the Broly Move (Orginal not Super) Janemba VS Gogeta DLC and a DLC that allows you to play as Frieza, Cell and Buu.
Only excuse I can see for Goku not using his god forms is (Manga spoilers)
cause of the training he's been doing in the Manga to use UI in base
Even that excuse doesn't apply here, he fights Vegeta at full power and only goes SSJ3. And as a player you either should not have transformations if that was the case of him trying to use UI in base, or you should be able to go UI or Blue against Vegeta in their final battle.
@TitosYT He uses UI in his transformations as well and he said it gets better the higher the transformation so maybe the excuse is him training to perfect it without using god forms,I just said it's the only excuse I see is all
@@c-jay2042 I understood what you meant but it's stretching it, that's why I said. Would have loved to see them connect this to Super somehow tho.
@JustinMedina-ro8du you are not understanding the convo at all my dude. It's kinda obvious that if you could go Blue with Goku then Vegeta would go Blue as well.
@TitosYT Yeah it would've been cool I don't think they're allowed to use any manga elements tho
Wish Vegeta was in his end of Z outfit when you rematch him.
So tired of him wearing that same armor after the Boo Saga
for season 3 they should do gt or top and broly. and super hero. i want gogeta
also this arc can still work. for the frieza thing even. maybe hes dead again he deffinently wont live
Pan just standing on the chair is funny to me
I mean I'm not sad that this doesn't fit in with dbs because this is just dragon Ball z so I'm actually kind of glad they don't reference anything from dbs
I want 3 movies all introducing 3 new gameplay aspects:
Broly the legendary super saiyan- this should introduce Broly(playable boss that breaks the game)
Bojack- updated ss2 teen gohan and the introduction of a galactic tournament game mode
Janemba- Gogeta…….I just really want Gogeta in the game
1:11 What the hell Roshi!? The internet exist man!!!!
Eh, I’d say toriyama just forgot, like how trunks hair suddenly turned blue, or explaining trunks and goten not having tails
Well trunks hair being blue is bc future trunks from z died
@@SSJAlter future trunks from Z did not die, only time he died is when cell killed him but he was brought back. Super future trunks and z trunks is the same person they just forgot his og hair color.

I can choose 3 arcs eh no im chosing 2 (and Another type of dlc) so the first is a gt dlc covering the entire baby saga (with the black star dragonball part included)
The second is a kid goku saga that starts with goku meeting bulma and ends with the first timeskip
And lastly there is a free pkay mode were you can fly arround every map as every character and costume (including grounded ones) and fight enemys and tons of returning bosses before facing demigra to return the universe to normal!
The Cover fight is the
SS2 Trunks vs Black, SS3 Goku vs SS2 Trunks, SS2 Goku vs Black, SSGIII Trunks vs Vegeta SSGSS, SSGSS Vegeta vs SSR Black, SSGSS Goku & SS2 Trunks vs SSR Black & Zamasu, SSGSS Goku & SSGSS Vegeta vs SSR Black, SSGSS Goku (Rage) vs SSR Black, SSRage Trunks (first transformation) vs SSR Black and Zamasu, SSRage Trunks vs SSR Black and Zamasu, SSGSS Vegeta vs SSR Black, SSGSS Goku and SSGSS Vegeta vs Fused Zamasu, SSGSS Vegito vs Fused Zamasu, SSRage Trunks vs Fused Zamasu
And thats is total of 13 fight. Start with Trunks at level 150 all the way to Fused Zamasu who has level 250. For TOP....to be continued 😂😂. I dont know what to say about TOP.
A dlc for the last episode of the show that the whole game is centered around is highway robbery
@JustinMedina-ro8du wild assumption
@JustinMedina-ro8du lmao
awesome statement completely undermining the effort and love that went into the visuals and cutscenes, not mentioning the fact that they also gotta pay the voice actors and such..

GT should be Season 3. GT would fit more for Kakarot than DBS imo
I mean, the game is called Dragon Ball >Z< Kakarot, so i guess cc2 just wont consider Super even exists for now, maybe this will change after everything that is to do with Z is done. The only Super things we have currently in the game were both Z movies before Super was even a thing.
There's that and also Future Trunks' Buu saga, which is entirely from the Super manga
