Hi there from Athens Greece, , i have a question: when she steps to her right(before shifting left) , is that ( the step to the right) to avoid an opponent's jab????and vice versa
Yes you can use it to slip the jab or just use it for movement to make your opponent think your going to punch like a faint. We have 3 more videos coming for these particular shifts. Hope in the next ones I answer some questions.
The step to the left before she goes to the right is a waste of motion unless it has a purpose to feint or punch.....if it is just to move for movements sake, then cut it out,..... and go directly to the movement to the right...just my thoughts.
It looks fancy but it's useless and a waste of step "energy". This creates a bad habit of jumping into the movement. For a beginner or intermediate this is a bad habit. Now if you are an elite athletic and tons of stamina fighter then you can do this. Other than that a waste of precious movement. Looks good but waste of movement and energy won't get you to an elite level.
Excellent video. Thanks!
