    I was so confused by the "butter" for like 20 seconds... I'm not to bright 🖤

      I was worried that might happen, it's not super obvious at first. I should have gone with my gut and clarified that from the beginning.

      @@0bszon489 shes talking about a body butter (shea butter, cocoa butter sometimes Kokum butter) not the food butter. I'm just a little piggy she said eggshells and I thought food butter... like i said I'm not that bright.

    Is there more skincare products you make yourself? I love these little videos! I want to make my own products but life is too messy at the moment. But definitely I'll come back to these videos in the future!

    Those jars are absolutely beautiful, where can I find some like that?

    • @KlairedeLysOfficial
      @KlairedeLysOfficial  5 років тому +6

      Antique shops, charity shops, ebay or sometimes Amazon. I got the large jar from a local antique shop and the smaller jar I found on Amazon here: amzn.to/2XjqZtq
      If you're looking for them on ebay you need to search for repousse jar, antique jar, or victorian jar. There are a few other names they come under but I can't remember them right now.

    I've always wanted to do the ground egg shell additions to masks, but how fine can they be ground? I have sensitive skin and the biggest exfoliant I can use without irritation is sugar. Thanks so much! Another fantastic video!

    • @KlairedeLysOfficial
      @KlairedeLysOfficial  5 років тому +4

      Very, very finely. I find it much softer than using sugar, but the key is to use a mortar and pestle to make sure it's ground into a super fine powder.

    How about thirsty, dry, sandpaper like skin?

      I'm not sure if you mean in general or specifically about a scrub. If you are looking for a very moisturizing scrub, then mix sugar and honey. Finer sugar is more gentle if your skin is delicate. A brown sugar already has a sort of moisture to it as well. Honey is healing and moisturizing due to its natural components. I wouldn't spend a lot on a more expensive honey. Yes, the quality would be better, but it would also be harder to work with due to the sticky consistency. Cheaper honeys are watered down a bit which decreases quality, but makes it somewhat easier to mix them with your sugar. I wouldn't spend for raw sugar either as the lack of processing may leave it too rough for your skin. You don't heat this mixture... just mix about half and half together & then store in an air tight container. If your skin is tough, you could try a salt and olive oil mix. But, I find that most salts are too rough and drying. And, I don't like the olive oil residue. It makes everything dangerously slippery if you use it in the shower.
