Thanks! I love how detailed your video is so we know how to adjust the amounts for if we're just going to try the mask once or if we have sensitive skin.. Not everyone's videos are as detailed or informative, so really appreciate this!
You have my vote for the Shorty award, good luck!!

Coconut oil works nicely. Massage a bit in, let it sit 30 seconds or so, and rinse off with a soft cloth. I use it when I've done a heavy eye makeup and it's being contrary with my normal remover. Wonderful for the skin, too!

Lavender oil is used for healing remedies, you can use it for facial masks like Klaire has, add drops to bath water, sprinkle it on your pillow to help you sleep, its very good for healing piercings! You can use the oil on burners too to make a relaxing scented room

Hazelnut oil is one of my favourite oils, together with jojoba and almond oil.
so maybe just carefully add a litte oil instead of mashed walnuts.
    Or as already mentioned, honey.
Generally curd and joghurt in masks are also very soothing and hydrating.

It has anti-inflammatory properties, also the aspirin gets rid of dead skin cells due to it's gritty texture acting as an exfoliant. It is said to reduce the appearance of acne, but I'm on the fence with that one. Hope I helped.

Aspirin is basically a form of salicylic acid, which prevents breakouts because it has anti-clogging/clotting properties. It's been used ever since it's invention for skincare, so it's been around for quite a while:)

I am not Klaire but I happen to know the answer to your question :) Aspirin contains mainly Salicylic Acid which is known to be beneficial for the skin especially if you suffer from breakouts and blocked pores. It is a very common ingredient in many skincare products for 'problem skin' :) hope that helps!
    xx

  • @SusanIvanova2257
    @SusanIvanova2257 11 років тому

active ingredient of aspirin is acetylsalicylic acid.
That stuff is actually contained in many anti acne skin products, just in a low concentration. With masks like that you have a higher concentration, which is more effective but also aggressive, so handle with care if you have really sensitive skin.
It works as a chemical peeling acid, removing dead skin cells for brighter complexion and is antibacterial.
But if you are unsure ALWAYS do you own research and don't just rely on one source ;)

It's really good for clearing up acne! I use this when my skin goes a bit mental and starts breaking out but it can make your skin look worse at first because it's pulling out all the rubbish :)

Bergamot, cajuput(milder but comparable to tea tree), Galbanum, immortelle, Iris, chamomile, carrot seed oil, Manuka(leptospermum scoparium to avoid confusion) and juniper are cool essential oils for skin care. there's a lot more, so do your research!
Just keep in mind that you should generally never apply them directly to the skin but always diluted. handled with some respect and care, essential oils are absolutely awesome! ^^

Asprin's anti-inflammatory properties, and capability of sloughing off dead skin prevents your pours from clogging, and it's great for acne and skin inflammations.

Green clay works like super powerful songe pulling all the muck out of the skin so yes this would help. and for the rest of the ingredients I've detailed what they all do exactly on my blog pos (link in the description box)

I believe it has anti-flammation effect, so cure some acne, scars, etc. But I think it is essential to wear a sun block follow that when you go out, because your skin will be quite sensitive!

any nut works, you can use almonds too, but you need to really grind them well, or you can use smashed avocado (will not last long), freash olives or even a bit of oil of your choice (I love macadamian nut one and tamanu)

Aspirin has salicylic acid, which helps to clean out impurities in the skin. Salicylic acid is pretty much the main ingredient in most toners and astringents.

This is awesome. I've wondered how you keep your skin so beautiful. Now I just need to figure out where to get the green clay. I love your mortar. I haven't been able to find a stone one that I liked so the one I have is wooden. Thanks for sharing. :0)

Aspirin is basically an anti-inflammatory and will help reduce swelling and redness. A lot of aspirin has caffeine and caffeine helps 'liven up' (for lack of a better word, it's 2:30 am xD) your cells and increases their work.

if you did not put any water in and you store it in a fridge it can last up to a month easily , I would even say 3 month, it will go bad when the nuts in it go bad, but if you put essential oil there is a chance it will fly away during this period if not stored properly, so I reccomend putting oil with water as the before use stage, also with water , you can use store bought floral water or other hydrolate that has a bit of alchocol as a way to preserve it, so it will last longer

If you are allergic to aspirin/acetylsalicylic acid maybe use a different AHA, a tiny splash of lemon juice(contains citric acid) in the mask should do a comparable job ^^
Paracetamol is less anti-inflammatory(interesting if you suffer from acne). The aspirin is supposed to work as a chemical peel, I am not sure what other drugs contain comparable acids. So better take e.g. lemon juice than risk anything and experiment with drugs.
