That’s an interesting use! Sage tea is tradition in my culture, we are kind of raised with it. Tho it’s my first time seeing the sage plant fresh!

I always had chamomile tea at home so that if my rabbit has problems with his tummy I could make him that tea. Ended up that I drunk it mostly and he had to drink fennel (?) tea when he felt sick because that's what I don't like. This way I started to love chamomile tea. I also have little wounds in my mouths here and then and someone gave me the advice to get something called Kamistad which is also made with chamomile or out of it but really expensive. Now I don't need to buy that anymore and try your "recipies". Thank you for that :)

Hi, I'm curious. I have rabbits myself, but have never heard of giving them tea if they have tummy troubles. From where have you learnt this? :)

@@pellemy5785 I remembered my mum giving our female bunny chamomile tea when she felt sick, she felt better and I continued doing so as a first aid measure when I thought they ate less then the used to. I put it in their mouth with a syringe without needle so they get fluid in their body. But I just realized I never ask my vet about it and there are many different opinions in the internet. It can also be very dangerous if you force feed a bunny when they have a blockage in their belly, so its better to go to a vet. I'd recommend to Google whats nice to have as a first aid kid for bunny's and ask your vet what he or she thinks about those things to be sure. I also read a lot in the internet about belly problems on a website that's only about bunny's and what owners should now (they also have food lists and stuff) but never risk something even if that means to visit the vet when there is nothing serious. Bunny's have to eat all day long so never risk anything. I hope you got an answer. I'm definitely going to check my knockledge and ask my vet if the things I did where right when I go there next time cuz the internet is the internet :)

@@XDsmileystarXD Thank you for your answer. I'm curious what your vet will say, and I thing I'll ask mine as well. If they say it should be fine, it might be easier to get in to the bunnies than Critical Care or Fibreplex. Mine gets really stubborn and don't really want to swallow the mixtures, but fluids are easy enough

@@pellemy5785 my bunny is about 13 years old. I give him Critical Care as well. Lately as his main meal cuz he eats it well. But only with oats (the vet said it's okay because he needs to gain or at least keep its weight.) luckily he loves critical care. I can imagine that it's hard to convince a bunny to eat it because it's good for them in that moment if they hate the taste. 😅 Keep me updated when you talked to your vet faster than me ^^

I absolutely love Sage tea, but I can't drink chamomile at all 🙊
My mom always made me drink chamomile when I had a really upset stomach and now the smell triggers the urge to throw up 😅
I guess I could try it though or just stick with sage 😂😂😂

I've never been a fan of chamomile or various herbal teas. But, I did enjoy sage and blackberry in with a black tea. The thing about making teas is that the temperature of the water when it hits whatever plant you are using determines what specific molecules and the amounts of them are released. Generally the cooler the water, the less bitters are pulled from the plants. I really hate and loath a brackish flavor! May I recommend trying a sun tea with some of your less preferred herbal tisane?

As someone who likes sage tea I can imagine it isn't too bad. And here's a recipe I really like:
      1tsp black tea
1 tsp sage (I use dried sage from a pharmacy since I'm terrible at gardening and distinguishing between the necessary plants and the weeds, but if you use fresh sage leaves, adjust to taste)
      1 glass of hot water
3-5 drops of fresh orange juice (just take a piece of an orange and squeeze it in)
It's really delicious, but it's not a mouthwash
