We are 55+ and want to live in that kind of community. We are very active in pickle ball. We are planning to stay in a friends home month of July to see how we handle the extreme heat

Thank you Nancy for your comments. Glendale has a lot to offer and they have a number of pickle ball facilities around town. If you would be looking for a 55+ community to live in there are several to choose from, including the famous Sun City (I did a video on Sun City on the channel), which is where it all started. Several of the newer masterplan communities have 55+ neighborhoods as well. With State Farm stadium built in Glendale, there is so much entertainment around the Westgate Entertainment District.
Coming down in July will be an eye opener, but as a native Phoenician I have grown up dealing with the heat, especially my younger days working construction. It is hot, the humidity is very low that time of year and frankly, you will be inside most of the time in A/C. If you want to play pickle ball you do it early in the morning or late afternoon, away from the heat of day. Most of the time you will be transitioning throughout the day in and out of the heat for short periods of time. A/C is all around. 😀Hopefully, you can deal with it because the winters are phenomenal. The suns shines most of the year here, over 300 days. When you're down here and if you would like to meet up, I would enjoy meeting you two and show you around or possibly meet for coffee...just let me know. Thanks again for your support of the channel. We are you currently living?

Came for the great info, subscribed for the cute little animations! I'm considering attending professional school in Glendale. I'd be moving with a large, fairly active dog, can you say any more about dog-ownership in this area? And is cycling a do-able hobby there? Trails? Or is my bike going to melt?

Thank you for your wonderful comments, appreciate it! What type of school would you be attending? Glendale along with any of the suburbs in the metro Phoenix is extremely dog friendly...many of the restaurants, stores, etc... welcome dogs. As far as home ownership you would be ok with a larger dog in a single family home community and if you are thinking of a condo lifestyle some of the communities have a weight restriction. What are you leaning towards and what would be your timeframe?

Cycling is a very big hobby here, especially mountain biking in the surrounding mountains...trails are everywhere. If you are interested in street cycling there are numerous bike lanes designated around town. Your bike won't melt here in the summer, just take advantage of the early mornings or early evenings, staying out of the extreme heat during the day. You will love the winter months.

@@PHOENIXARIZONALIVING333 I'd be going to Midwestern University! I'm sure there's a good number of individuals in my situation right now considering moving to attend there (I believe it's mostly, if not all, aspiring health professionals).
I like the idea of living in an apartment/townhouse type of community (with all their amenities) but having a bit of yard or at least patio sounds *awesome* especially since I'm moving from a gloomier situation in the NE.
Timeframe would be relatively soon as class starts late July. I am still in the decision making process of which program I want to attend/which city I want to be in - browsing your videos have been very helpful!!

@@shopz3235 Midwestern U is an excellent school and very reputable. Our good friends have a daughter going there to be a PA, and she really likes it. She's just finishing up her first year. There are plenty of options available for your housing needs when the time comes, we just need to see what's available for your dog. If the Phoenix area ends up being your final destination and I can help you in any way, please let me know. Glad to hear the videos are helpful and thanks so much for watching. Have an awesome week!

@@PHOENIXARIZONALIVING333 Yup, seems Phoenix is blessed with plenty of great options for medical education. Thank you for the offer of help. MWU tuition is making sure that I cannot buy a home, and I'm sure you've got bigger fish to fry, but I will definitely keep this in my back pocket.
I wonder if you might like to make a video about moving to Arizona for us out-of-staters.
It's hard for me to comprehend what it'll be like to move to and live in a desert. Am I checking my boots for snakes and scorpions each morning? With all this sunlight, perhaps people drive more EVs in Phoenix? What are utility bills like compared to some other large cities? Will the hard water ruin my clothes? Discussing things like these!
Love the passion and dedication emanating from your content and I hope your channel does well!!
