Keep up the good work. You are doing a very niche video. I look forward to your next video as I do not see any you tuber in Malaysia doing this. Too many people just showing the crowded or tourists attraction only. Thanks for sharing.
I pretty much grew up with this mall, I remember when I was a kid this mall used to be bustling with many shops, cafetaria and whatsnot, back then Carefour is still there. The mall was still a bit "okay" around 5-7 years ago, not that many people go there but there's still quite a lot shops open, but now it's pretty much empty and barren. I still go to this mall now but mostly just to buy groceries and nothing more 😂
I still go bowling and badminton a lot, which are the 2 most crowded places. They are usually full on weekday night! The bowling is cheap, and the lane never breakdown during my 10++ visits(unlike in Sunway or Time Square). Badminton court is quite cheap before 6pm, lots of pros come here to train. Edit: Not to mention they have the cheapest foot and body massage in KL(probably Malaysia), RM39 for 1 hour foot massage.

I live in Johor. back in early 2000s, whenever my family went to KL we’d stop by here just to buy freshly baked potato bun at Carrefour (now Aeon Big). never really asked my parents why here & not other malls 😂
I bought my PSone here back in 2004. Was frequent to Carrefour during weekends with family. Can't remember the last time I visited here. Could be more than 10 years? Anyways, usually I watch Dan Bell's Dead Mall Series, it's good to see similar content finally reaching here in Malaysia. 👍
The Strata agreement has significantly harmed the operation of this mall. However, it is still a very good shopping mall. It is particularly suitable for e-commerce businesses that require frequent use of logistics services. In fact, several of the tenants here are among the largest Shopee e-commerce sellers in Malaysia. Although the mall is quite old, its elevators and freight lifts are still in great condition. Moreover, the rent is very affordable. Due to the Strata arrangement, the management lacks funds for renovations, and the mall can't even be sold. However, the management team has done a commendable job, and their efforts could potentially revive the mall. I hope they find the funds to renovate it someday
Yes. Being the first batch of migrant here, I have to go post office & Mr DIY too. In the old days, there was a pond around there, a small sampan with with worker were picking the grown vegetables in the pond to feed their poultries/pig?(can't remember) everyday. In fact their management should consider cheaper carpark or perhaps breakfast drive through sort of shops since Sri Petaling's area has carpark concern. Mgmt could assess to revamp the road facing part to attract more traffic.
I used to work inside Endah Parade in one of the outlet on the 4th floor. During my time, the parade is growing strong but as time goes by, most outlets or spaces are empty. More tenants selling antiques came in, and in the end, antique seller was more than 60% occupied. 4th floor was so dead during that time and feeling goosebumps as I walked along.
There used to be a huge waterpark on the roof of this mall. Probably 25-30 years ago or when the Commonwealth games were held in Bukit Jalil? Sad to see all these malls slowly fading from their former glory. Wish I knew the secret formula to rejuvenate these huge properties. I think they could digitally map the layout of a couple of floors and have VR combat or dinosaur safari or obstacle course.
This mall was doing well previously because there is a Lavenda spa, gym and also full of other urut batin shops especially hiding on higher floors. Ever since police raided the areas, all the foreign massage ladies are gone and those shops forced to close down. This has affected other businesses as well as the niche visitors to this mall has gone down tremendously.
My friend setup a new office/workshop in the upper floors recently. I went to visit it few weeks ago. Reason says rent is cheap due to dead mall status.
cuba pi waktu awal pagi dan malam masa nak tutup memang akan terasa kot kritikalnya nyawa mall sebegini maybe huhu anyway great content bro. Hope it brings interest to people who live nearby to at least visit and spend a bit there. take care
I used to come here for Aeon Big and their pioneer badminton court when I was studying in IMU, Bukit Jalil. KFC was still there back then and I used to enjoy their finger lickin' good chicken. All those moments were before COVID-19 struck, but Endah Parade was already quite dead since then. Not to mention now.
When i was in Malaysia/KL, I lived in the area in 2016, just 𝘢 short drive to the west from the mal and it was already as you showed in the video, so it was dead way way before Pavillion BJ was even built. Back then there was KFC joint next to the Esquire Kitchen. Is it still open? I can see the esquire kitchen in your vid, but not the KFC. Regarding safety, I never felt unsafe in the mal despite the eerie void. Just avoid the lift, they get stuck every once in 𝘢 while. Also there was this mall called Aurora, whose namesake is the condo on top of it, and it was just as dead by then. It's right next door to Pavillion Bukit Jalil, please consider covering that one for your next video in the series. Also back then I used to have my McDonald's fix at Plaza OUG, which was deader than these two and I believe is now no more.
Oh, you should've went up to the top floor, two floors after the badminton arena. You'd be surprised to know there is a skating ring and gel-gun arena XD
Same in states side. Some malls converted to church, and some IT AI startups. Lots more just left rotting away. Currently, lots of retailers are filling bankruptcy as well.
Good review. This Mall is notoriously famous for massage + extras. The Spa there also has extra services but you didn't show those lots with PRC/Viet ladies inviting you in. Hope it doesn't become another Richmore Hotel KL - oh yes, please DO a review of that place!!
I previously visited this location approximately seven years ago, and at that time, it was a vibrant area with significant pedestrian traffic. However, it is disheartening to observe that the majority of the complex is now experiencing a decline in activity. The only component that appears to be sustaining its viability is the food court. 😊
Should lease out to tuition centre or colleges few floors to cover operating cost. With them as tennant, more foot traffic thus potential patrons of outlets opened in the mall.
There is a great Playstation service shop here. It's not official, but the charges they charge are quite decent and efficient, got it done within the hour . That was my first time in this mall as being someone from PJ I hardly have any reason to come all the way here, however I'm quite disturbed by the fact as I was moving up the floors via escalator to the service shop, I was approached by more than one lady asking if I wanted a massage. I then read that this place do have those "shady" massage parlors. What was more disturbing is that there are a couple of tuition(?)/ classes here for kids and while waiting for my PS service to be done, I saw them walking about to their classes (albeit on the lower floors) , not great to have kids walking by themselves in a mall shared with such "shady" stuff.
I stay near to endah parade. I like to come here for POS service and renewal of driving licence. I also come here to renew my I.c or replace my I C.as there is a National registration centre here.
Used to go there as there is/was a kid education supplies on the upper floor. The shop quite well stocked. Not sure still there. But in your review, what do u think it could do to revived? Or maybe search for the owner and ask them what happened and what r their plans, if any.
Actually those renting 1st floor and above shop houses in the Sri Petaling side should shift here due to plenty of parking and \or food if the rental here is cheap. No jam around
I live in Seri Petaling since its launch, way back in the late 1980's. This Mall can do better - why not rent out to colleges, furniture, wellness centres etc. Make it focus on a specific product just like how Viva took over a "dead" mall. Tho not sure if Viva is doing well or not. And what I understand that the lots were sold to individual owners when it was opened then. Perhaps this is the problem.
Whenever I'm down, I sometimes go to this mall to wonder around and get my legs tired. My father used to take me here when I was little, so much memories here.. Would be sad if they decided to demolish this mall..
For those Sri Petaling residents, this mall sure brings a lot of memories. But right now I think they need to repurpose this mall to other use. Their days seems to be numbered

@@trixstar4758 not only malls, but condos, bungalows, shoplots etc. The main problem is lack of immigration. A country like this needs new comers from other countries to fill up the population gap. When you make immigration difficult or have impossible rules for immigrants including those married to locals ( eg can not work) , people will leave and the story will be told that malaysia is anti immigration, the country will lose new incomes , new talents, and a growing population to visit these malls, buy theee properties etc.
it's Malaysia.. If there are profits corporations are going to built more. In fact it's up to the local and federal government town planning to study and so that they don't mushrooms here and there, but this is going to be a challenge since money is involved

You should try Cheras Sentral aka Phoenix Plaza... That's a dead mall they tried reviving it at least 3 times, still mati with Mrt Station right beside it

Bcos the banks keep giving loan to them thanks to other buildings that they already built and put as cagaran. They makan most of the loan money and build a mall in out of vincinity locations etc semenyih, beranang, sepang. Basically take loan, build, use that to take another loan, build again and it goes on. In the end its the tenants of the failing malls servicing the loan while the corporations and developers put free money in pocket and declare profit. They also charge parking RM3 for the first 4 hours. Too much for a dead mall la. Last time they used to give free parking during Carrefour. Then they started to charge parking and people start to skip this mall. 2 years back they increased the parking from RM2 to RM3... I don't know based on what. Spooky charges?
This mall is dead at the ground floor. I can't remember 1st or 2nd floor, there is quite a few massage parlors you can visit. Some give good massage for a decent price. They provide 'live happily ever after' as well. Don't say I tell you ya. I just heard from friends. FYI, I am a decent guy.
The last time i was there Carrefour was still operating. This place is already dead long time ago. I think you should also do Eko-Cheras which is quite new but should be dead soon if the management still don't do anything.
Stratified mall, ie, a mall with many parcel owners. Owners cannot work together to have a common vision how to manage the mall. The result is obvious.
this is pathetic compared to abt 5yrs ago i been there maybe twice or so,to get some oriental pottery from PRC vendors in mid of corridors of the 2nd floor...but nvr this deserted!almost can close down...reminds me of the glory days of Midlands Park Center in Penang...nw also dead!retro malls like these needs to repurposed for lease....due to current commerce advancements, retail is dying...fact is no new gens gonna come shopping here anyway!if the mall wants ol skool to come, the outlets needs to be revised!but nonetheless, malls like these need to exist to fulfill the residential community needs....

Then they started to charge parking and people start to skip this mall. 2 years back they increased the parking from RM2 to RM3... I don't know based on what. Spooky charges?
RM1 for 3 hours should be more ideal to attract foot traffic
This mall is dead at the ground floor. I can't remember 1st or 2nd floor, there is quite a few massage parlors you can visit. Some give good massage for a decent price. They provide 'live happily ever after' as well. Don't say I tell you ya. I just heard from friends. FYI, I am a decent guy.
Thanks for the important sharing.. Hahahahaa
Everyone claims they are a decent guy when caught prowling in Endah Parade, lol!
@@thinkingaloud5379 Haha seriously I went there for my dental check up 6 months once. There is a dental clinic at the 2nd floor.
I think you meant they are in their last leg, it cant be ...their last 2 legs because all of us have only 2 legs
You're right.. LOL
greetings from Canada, wasn't this Kota Raya Mall?
no it is not. this mall is called Endah Parade located in the suburb of Kuala Lumpur. Kota Raya mall is in the city.
Used to be popular for dodgy massages 😍 guess they’re not there anymore
I think mostly gone
it looks like a lack of profit at this mall.... but very nice video!
Thanks for watching. Do share this video too
The last time i was there Carrefour was still operating. This place is already dead long time ago. I think you should also do Eko-Cheras which is quite new but should be dead soon if the management still don't do anything.
Thanks for the tip. Will definitely check Eko-Cheras
i went there last year, crowd not bad. What happen?
@@jylaw9495 certain areas are always empty and dead, especially the foodcourt area
now they have Aeon Big, not bad lah
Chester is like a grim reaper to a mall.A visit by him is a death certification!
LOL... I think this mall is beyond salvage
The JPN still operating?
Yes
I thought Parkson sold it? And all parades are dead by now?
Pretty dead now
Stratified mall, ie, a mall with many parcel owners. Owners cannot work together to have a common vision how to manage the mall. The result is obvious.
Old concept. management there to collect the maintenance fees from the parcel owners
Endah sudah tidak diendahkan lagi
Betul juga
Quill City Mall 🥴
I've never been there before. So it's on the planning
🤓👌
So any planning to visit the current trending hot spot mall?😂
Maybe soon. Will be on another series
The mall's parking is very smelly cause by broken sewerage pipes quite some times already, the management don't bother at all
Omg
Oh this place is near where I live. It's pretty much empty 💀
This mall is meant for "happy massage"....
I don't think that there is many anymore
this is pathetic compared to abt 5yrs ago i been there maybe twice or so,to get some oriental pottery from PRC vendors in mid of corridors of the 2nd floor...but nvr this deserted!almost can close down...reminds me of the glory days of Midlands Park Center in Penang...nw also dead!retro malls like these needs to repurposed for lease....due to current commerce advancements, retail is dying...fact is no new gens gonna come shopping here anyway!if the mall wants ol skool to come, the outlets needs to be revised!but nonetheless, malls like these need to exist to fulfill the residential community needs....
Thanks for sharing
Too many mall not good. Once new mall emerged, the old one nobody will go.
One can get PS games in this mall back then
build a bridge from LRT bukit jalil to the MALL
Good idea but I don't think Endah Parade owner will foot that bill
